Everything here is delicious. Why go to a chain Mediterranean restaurant when you can eat local, authentic, Mediterranean food?! I think about the spicy hummus often, it is incredible. We entered the restaurant and were greeted right away by a young girl who was bussing tables. We were asked if it was our first time there, to which we replied yes. Then before we could even look at the menu on the wall she started telling us about the detailed menu "over here" so we assumed she wanted our full attention at the register. She asked us what I later heard repeated to every customer "how hungry are you?" And offered the sampler (pick 3 items), and we placed our order (after looking back at the photos we originally looked at). We received a discount for free drinks as I go to OSU, so that was cool. Her energy however wasn't. It was just odd. Spazzy. We sat down and right away, the young girl who took our order came over and literally stood over us as we took our straws out of the wrapping so she could "take our trash" then insisted she wait as we removed the paper ring from our napkins, saying "um yeah the paper ring, that too", which was really offsetting. After she walked off my fiancé and I just stared at one another and we're glad she was gone. Others came in and the same lines "how hungry are you?, well then I recommend the sampler, etc" were stated and it actually tarnished the greeting we received as it just felt like an attempt to upsell on specific items (Our bill was about $40). She came over with our salads, then some friends of hers came in who ordered and they chit chatted and when another customer came in she was back to the same lines of "how hungry are you?" I must have heard that 5 times in 30min. It became annoying. Food arrived (appetizer) and not even 2min later the entrées arrived. Bad timing. Our entire table was full of food. And she wanted to take something away so we told her she could take the salad plates (mine was half full). She explained "you eat the grape leaves" and I looked at her and said "yes I know, thank you!" she walked away and finally we started to enjoy our food without feeling like she would be hovering as other customers came in. She kept saying "hi guy" to people. Even to me as I walked to the bathroom I heard "hi guy, Oh you're going to the restroom, okay so.." as she started talking to the person seated behind us. It was just very odd energy to which I just tried to forget the last 20min+ and focus on the food once I was back Note: Their bathroom door sticks and was extremely hard to close. Someone who was older would have a problem with this for sure. I wasn't even sure if it was locked and closed all the way and it made me feel uncomfortable. Once I returned we got the rest of our food to go and soon the owner came by (as this seems typical from Yelp reviews I've read) and asked us how everything was and honestly the food was very delicious. He described the process of making the food and it felt pretty authentic and filled me up so I replied it was great. We hadn't ordered any desert but he insisted we try a piece of baklava, so that was a nice treat. He explained that he would be featured on a show this coming weekend etc. and we thanked him. Then left. During our time there my fiancé met a local celebrity which seemed to bump up his overall experience of the place but had it not been for the owner coming over and the ambiance (I loved the music they were playing and actually own a lot of it on a playlist I have lol) aside the girl, and our food being great..my rating would have been MUCH lower. There was an older employee who came in to speak to the owner and her energy seemed much better, I kind of wish she had been the one to serve us. So I'm kind of torn on this place. I got the chicken as most suggested, and pearl couscous is my favorite so I had that and free drinks for students was nice. As was the free shared desert. So for now I'll give it 3 stars and consider coming back. read more

Went for lunch and were pleasently surprised. Had the spicy hummus and pita to start. Both were very good. I had 3 salad- had Greek, Persian, and Fatoosh. Would order again, all were good. Husband had gyro and roasted pepper soup. He liked both. Gyro had plenty or filing and meat was cut thicker than most places. I tasted the soup and will probably get it next time. Wonderful. I have really tried to find something wrong, but Simply Falafel exceeded my expectations. Very clean, outstanding service, and best part....their food makes my mouth water. My family and I are there for dinner and let me tell you, it was amazing! We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. There was live music that was phenomenal. After looking over them menu we placed our order my husband and I both ordered gyro platters and my mother ordered the burger.
