I work in the uptown area and decided to check out Simply Greek for lunch because I've heard great things. We ordered the Chicken Souvlaki, which was absolutely spectacular. It was served on pita that tasted like it was made minutes before. We asked if they make their own pita, and although they don't, they buy it all locally and it was top of the line. They piled on the meat- very generous with the chicken. All of the veggies were fresh and the awesome tzaziki just topped it all off! This place is great and I'll definitely be coming back frequently. It's easy to stop by and grab a quick bite, but would also be very convenient to take to go as well! This place is a gem in a Solon strip mall! All of the food is fresh and hand made. The gyro is so good and the fresh cut fries were hot and crispy, both large enough to share if you aren't starving. Get extra tzaziki sauce because you will want it on everything!! I am trying a burger next time, they hand patty each one and it looked amazing! Then Greek salad after that... It was very expensive, the meal that I ordered Chicken souvlaki. Was very spicy I could hardly eat it I ordered a Greek salad and a side salad. Besides that the food never disappointed me, the service is exceptional as well. I stop by about once a week and the owner and two other staffs always recognize me and even remember my name on my last visit. The thing I like most is that they always check if you are satisfied with your food and if you want to have a bite of their new recipes, and they are always very generous on the samples! LOVE! When you can't go to Greece, this is the next best thing. Amazing and delicious homemade Greek food and quick and convenient. We always go here and get gyros, salads, and rice pudding or baklava for dessert. Portions are huge and there is always plenty for leftovers. Prices are reasonable for what you get and the people who work here are super nice. We ordered curbside the other day and out was quick and easy. Yum! These gyros were so good! For one, they are HUGE (even just the classic, non-titan, one). They come with so much meat and filling that I often want to ask for an extra pita. The meat is fresh and well seasoned. Since the gyros are so good, I haven't ventured out to try anything else on their menu. Except their fries--those are super fresh and crispy too! Extra pluses are that they often have baklava samples at the cashier and they have a couple of beers on tap. There's parking in the paid lot in the back. In that lot, only 30 minutes are free, but if you park across the street behind Constantino's, that parking lot is 2 hours free. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Perfect spot lunch. The food was prepared fresh and served quickly. We ate at one of the tables inside. The octopus was tasty and tender. Not sure if I tried them on an off day, but I came away a little puzzled. I was aiming for something fast, inexpensive, and on the healthier side. I had been to what I believe was their prior location in Bainbridge and had been able to get a small Greek salad and spanakopita for around $10. Checking the menu, small salad $7, spanakopita $9. Back to my three goals, I opted for the salad. I got to my office and found a very small amount of the following; greens, one small pepper, small cucumber piece and two black olives. If this weighed 4 oz including the container, I'd be amazed. I'm going to assume that I just got a bad draw on the salad and that I misread the menu. If I can't go into a take out place and get something fast, healthier and sufficient for a mid sized guys appetite (I eat pretty lightly) for less than $10 to $12, I'll skip it and get it from home, the grocery store, or someplace else. I'll try them again when I'm not in as much of a hurry. read more

Really really great food. I had the gyro- with bacon on it. The whole thing was Awesome but the meat was especially delicious. It was huge and I couldn't finish it all. Only negative was that food wasn't ready immediately. The owner was working alone and we had to wait about 10 - 15 minutes. Honestly, I had no problem with this- because everything was fresh and made while we waited (along with about 3 other groups that came in at the same time). I think they are a tad bit over priced $10 and extra $1 for a small side of the sauce for a regular size gyro and $6 for a side of fries which was equivalent to maybe 2 potatoes. Okay first of all I'm a chef. Been a chef for well over ten years now. And this place has been my favorite dining experience of the year. I'm home visiting my mother for a week and she tells me about this place that gives you a corona while u wait. I'm already sold but we get there and I'm handed a piece of baklava before I even order. Needless to say I was blown away. The burger was amazing! The octopus was killer! The gyro we got was the best gyro I ever had. But the star of the show was the leg of lamb!!! And the rice underneath the lamb was almost as good as the rice in the lemon chicken soup the owner recommended. I downloaded Yelp just to write this review because I was absolutely blown away! I tried this place for early dinner on ah Thursday night. Yelp said that it is open till 8:00 pm but when we came to dine in they said they were closing at 7:00 due to case western students or something. I arrived there around 6:45 pm. So if you are planning to go here on a weekday to dine in make sure you call ahead. The place smelled wonderful and I got mine to go . The staff their were very friendly and helped me with all questions I had with their menu. I got the chicken gyro with side of fries and greek salad to go! The chicken pita was very delicious and fries as well! They grill the pita in front of you as well! The pita was warm and the chicken had a-lot of flavor and seasoned well. Next time I would get little cheese on mine because they give you ALOT! I like cheese but not that much lol. The fries were cripsy and delicious! Even though I liked the greek salad I just wouldn't get it because of the portion and price. And I would get it with little cheese lol. I came here again for the second time on a friday night and it was busier. They have happy hour till 6:30 with drink and food specials! I've been here multiple times, and what keeps me coming back is the quality, cleanliness, and consistency. I've watched enough Kitchen Nightmares to know a good restaurant from a bad one, and this one is really good! It's a small casual restaurant with great, fresh food and a good beer selection. My Greek friend gave the food the stamp of approval. It's family owned, which is a plus, and you can see the owner and his son working behind the counter. They're very friendly and when they have time, like to interact with customers. The wait time can be a while, but I don't mind waiting for good food to be cooked right. Sometimes I'll call ahead and order take out. The portions are always large and consistent. If it's your first time, you can't go wrong with the classic gyro. It's packed with meat, to the point that I feel that the meat to toppings ratio is off. Souvlaki is good but is a little salty if you eat the meat by itself. Souvlaki platter is large but is a little salty from the chicken, feta, olives, and fries. Fries are great and love the twist in seasoning. Spartan is like a very large sandwich and had to share it with someone else. If you like fish and chips, get the fish dinner. Large, crispy fish with fries and tartar sauce.
