This is my second time trying Mediterranean food and it was just as good as the first time. The food was delicious. My friend got the chickem kabobs and I got the spicy curry. I've never had curry. It was spicy but flavorful. The salad that they give ot so delicious. I want to know what's in the dressing! It's the best part. When we walking in, place looked clean. Ok, so here's the thing, I took a star off due to two things. First: this is not a restaurant where you will be seated, given a menu, a waitress take your order and food is brought to your table. You walk up to the counter and read the overhead menu, place your order, pay and sit to wait for your food. Big difference from their previous Tulare location. Second: EVERYTHING is served in styrofoam, clam shell containers, I mean everything including the tzatziki..WTH?!? When I placed my order, I ordered the tzatziki to go and expected it in a container with a tight fitting lid. I ordered an appetizer, sambosa. These are my favorite, thin pastry stuffed with mashed potatoes, peas and carrots and spices and then deep fried. Served with a spicy (lightly spiced) cilantro dipping sauce. I only received 3 sambosa, despite the on-line menu stating it comes with 4. I ordered the chicken shawarma, which included rice and a salad. I added a Greek salad, which was fresh and delicious. The chicken was marinated nicely and cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The rice was cooked nicely and not dry. Again, extremely disappointing to be served in a styrofoam container despite eating my meal in the restaurant. Had I taken this item as a carry-out, it would have been a disaster, hot rice and chicken placed inside the same container as my cold salad. Honestly, the food is great, the gal at the front counter was very friendly but I would think twice before eating here again due to the "to-go" style. Hopefully Simply Mediterranean will bring back the same vibe that their Tulare location had and lose the "take-out" feel. read more

11/27/23 Getting lunch for tomorrow! Fattoush salad ordered with chicken shawarma on it. Also spicy Turkish dip with pita chips and Spicy Curry . The worker was very kind! Said the Spicy Curry is most popular. The worker said it would be ready in 15. I went in to get it. The restaurant very nice! Clean, safe and practiced! Greeted by kind worker and the order was almost ready. I was early. Waited. Mediterranean music playing. Shortly later it was ready and brought to the table I was at along with good day wishes! My wife and I really enjoyed the food here. The Shawarma fries were very flavorful. Each bite had a punch of flavor. The Sambosa was good, too. It had a good crunch and was savory. The spicy curry chicken was very spicy. I enjoyed it but my wife didn't. The rice helped balance the spicy flavor. Only down side was there wasn't enough chicken. Our food took 30 minutes to come out and I was unable to eat it there due to having to return to work at 2 pm. The worst part was that it was not busy. From the food to the staff, this place is amazing. Was passing through to get to Sequoia and I spotted it. Decided to give it a try because Mediterranean food will always be an option. My first time here and I didn't get what I wanted because there was a wait for the rice but I'm pregnant and was starving...but anyway I usually love shawarma fries but I feel like these were overloaded with these sauces that I couldn't taste the flavor of the meat. They also charge $1 for sauces the cup should at least be double this size. The sauces were tasty I can say that. Next time I'll wait for the rice because I really was looking forward to this place. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the food here. My negative comment is the way the food is packaged for Uber orders. I placed an Uber order to be delivered to my hotel. Upon receiving the order, I immediately noticed that the plastic bag was opened, untied. I called the restaurant and spoke to the woman who said she packed the bag. She said their policy is to tie the plastic bag once. She confirmed that she tied the bag before the Uber driver picked it up. They used to tie the bag twice but had complaints from customers bc they couldn't untie and use the bag. She transferred me to her manager, another woman, who also confirmed that they tie their bags once. The manager offered to make me something else. I contacted Uber and received a full refund. It's extremely careless, dangerous and lazy for this restaurant to pack their orders in a plastic bag WITHOUT ANY SEALS. Delivery drivers, some, will tamper and eat food orders. I didn't eat the stuffed grape leaves, salad or kabob plate. What a waste of food. The next morning as I left the hotel, the neighboring guest left their delivery bag from another restaurant. See how they pack their orders? The order is in a brown paper bag with a SEAL!! Don't order from here - you can't trust that the food arrives untouched or safe. read more

Food was ok, lamb was super fatty and had a lot of gristle . The chicken was good. Rice was good. But the prices! Omg so over priced. Things that cost 2.50 to make they charge 15-18 for. Yellow rice or tumric with 6-8 peace's of lamb that at ofnok size but full of gristle and fat with a small salad is $18.00 wow I'd rather go to a nice place like roadhouse or red Robbin for dinner. And for Mediterranean food peta kabob is better and cheeper.
