Marisol did such a great job on my chrome/holographic acrylic nails. I loved them until I had to remove them for work, that was a sad day. My first visit (by appointment, not with Marisol) I waited almost an hour to be seen and the second time about 20-30 minutes so that's the only downside as I work in an appointment only based business and we do not like running late as we understand everyone's time is very valuable. read more

This use to be my go to, my favorite place. And with a heavy heart I won't be returning anymore. I've been a customer for over 10 years now everyone knows me by name Which really sucks, before I left for my wedding in June. Me and my oldest daughter who is five came in to get pedicures they gave my daughter someone that was trying out for a job on top of that she literally soaked her feet for five minutes and painted her nails and cut them she was done within 10 minutes I paid $25 for that. When I called and spoke to Lori I came in to get a pedicure that day with my mom my daughter also got her nails painted they gave me five dollars off of my pedicure so that was basically my daughters nail painting which I don't feel it was very justifiable for a $25 pedicure and a five-year-old. Two days ago I called to make an appointment to get my nails done. I took all my nails off to get a full size I normally pay about $50 for a full set or more. Money without a problem making the appointment was the problem the lady on the phone didn't really seem to know what she was doing she made my appointment for 630 on a Saturday but what a time for six but she told me 630 I told her that I couldn't make six so she said 630? And I said fine she want me down for 6000 when I showed up yesterday no one called me and told me that I was late for my appointment I left without getting my nails done. So now not only do I have no nails on but now my fingers look ugly to me I'm super unhappy with how they handled the situation nobody called me to tell me that I was behind on my appointment when they take my number when they make my appointment which doesn't make sense to me? But since no one called me I drove 30 minutes from my house to get my nails done yes I drive 30 minutes this nail salon because I loved you guys that much. So I drove 30 minutes there 30 minutes back wasting an hour of my time to not have my nails done at all. I feel like this was not handled properly and for that reason I'll be finding a new Salon and it breaks my heart. read more

Didn't realize dip takes almost 2 hours. Someone got dip nails just like me with tips and a pedicure and left before I did. I have been going to Simply Nails for years and Jenny has and always will be my go to. She always takes her time and does an excellent job. She's never forgotten to ask if I would like any wine, water or soda. I am very picky about my nails (I mean, who isn't?!) and have been to SEVERAL salons in the Mount Prospect/Arlington Heights area and Simply Nails is simply the best. Every nail tech has a smile on their face and is excited about business. With some techs, you need to be very specific on what you'd like and pay attention while they are doing your nails. I was reading through some of the negative reviews on here and can honestly say I've never seen that behavior and I get my nails done once every week and a half. However, I will say that I wish appointments were managed and organized better. There are days (not many but some) when I wait anywhere from 20-30 minutes for my scheduled appointment that I've had way in advance. I understand the salon is getting busy but if the nail tech is going to take longer than the allotted time, that should be taken into consideration when an appointment is booked. Also, if the nail tech takes a walk in before a scheduled appointment, someone else should take over when the appointment time begins and the customer is waiting. I always make sure to tell the receptionist that my nails take at least an hour and fifteen minutes when I am getting the gel soaked off prior to my manicure. I promise you will not be disappointed with the service that is provided throughout the salon! I went into the salon without an appointment and only had to wait 20-25 mins to get a full set. While waiting, each artist asked me if I had wanted water, coffee, tea, or wine. Ihave to say I was pretty impressed with how fine to detail they were. Finally i was able to get my nails done with Lori. She listened to everything i wanted and helped me pick out a color between the two I had my mind set on. Simply Nails Spa was easily the best pedicure experience I've ever had. Lori was an absolute joy! From the moment I walked in I was informed it would be 15 minutes - no complaints there! I took my time looking over their extensive selection of polish colors. All of which looked clean, and organized - a big plus right there. From the moment you walk inside you know they take pride in the way they present themselves. The nicest part was Lori actually asked my name. I know it's something small and simple, but it made a world of difference. After choosing a color I got to wait at one of the massage pedicure chairs. During that time I was acknowledged by glances, and was asked if I'd like something to drink - or if the water was at an acceptable temperature. They could've easily forgotten about me sitting there -- but they didn't. While I waited I watched a number of return clients come in and out of the Spa and I figured that was a good sign! The best part of a pedicure is obviously the massage. Not only did the pedicure include that but she seemed to take her time even though they were busy. I didn't feel like she was rushing through anything. My toes didn't feel scraped, or picked at like they have before during pedicures and I must say they look perfectly shaped! A world of difference than when I walked in! My only suggestion - and maybe it's because I didn't ask (I know, it'd be too much to wish for mind readers), would've been for them to be up front with designs and services offered. I would've gladly paid extra for the upgraded pedicure had I known - and even opted for a little artistic flair on the toes! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this nail place. I had an excellent experience at this salon!! It is completely centered on service and I felt well taken care of from start to finish. The nail technician did an excellent job and I loved the hot stone massage that came standard with the pedi. The tech took time and made sure that it was a well done job. I felt that I wasnt just another customer. They also have punch cards so that you can save money after a certain amount of visits. Not a lot of places do that and I love it! Came into this salon because it was one of the highest rated salons in the area and I recently moved here. I've been in twice now. Both times I've had the same woman do my nails. I don't know her name but she is one of the only non-Asian employees in the salon. The first time I went in for a no chip manicure. The overall experience was ok but less than ideal. She was fairly aggressive with my nails when filing. I also asked for an almond shape and got more of sliletto...The nails came to a point and I've not gotten that shape before when asking for almond. She also did not use any cuticle softener/remover before starting to trim my cuticles. The final thing that did not sit well with me is she used the word "retarded" to describe something that was happening in her personal life. Went in yesterday to get my no chip removed and to get a normal manicure. Another lady started doing my nails but then the woman that did my nails the first time took over. Again, she used no cuticle softener or remover before starting to trim my cuticles. Also, my cuticles were hardly pushed back. I don't know if this is the standard at this nail salon. She then went on to pretty much destroy my cuticles. She cut so much skin surrounding my thumbs that you can see in the pictures that the skin is red and angry looking. I'm writing this review in bed because my the skin around my thumbs is aching and feels extremely irritated/painful. I winced which should have given her indication that I was uncomfortable but apparently she did not pick up on it. She made the cuticle on my ring finger bleed so badly that she tried putting the greeb solution that stops bleeding 3 times and it did not work. I needed to put pressure on it when I washed my hands and it was still bleeding. On top of that, she did not fully remove the no chip manicure I had from last time so I still have purple marks that are showing through with this manicure. But really the most bothersome thing is that my fingers are actually hurting right now. If I were to go back, which is doubtful, I would steer clear of the woman that did my nails. I can't speak for the rest of the staff but she was off putting and way too aggressive with handling my nails. Not happy at all. Edit: Owner responded to my review on Yelp so I reached out and texted her. She said she would call me later that day and never did. The unprofessionalism is unacceptable. read more

So I just moved from Washington State and finding a clean, reputable good nail salon can be tough. I travel quite a bit and this has always been a struggle. I read the reviews, it's close to my house and I was able to get an immediate appointment. First impression was how clean it was. I am a licenced hair stylist and cleanliness is my biggest pet peeve. They have sealed, sanitized tools! BEST EXPERIENCE!!! Marisol did my nails, Dai did my toes. Super clean, great ambiance and perfect nails and toes. Easy communication and had awesome conversations! I NEVER make follow up appointments but I sure as heck did this time. I can't recommend them enough! They also have me a recommendation for a Thai food restaurant and I'm there now. So far so good! First time coming here for a no chip mani and pedi. A woman named Zula did my nails and she was great! She was friendly and took her time. They offered refreshments which I thought was nice. They also have a good selection of nail polish and brands to choose from. For their pedicures, in addition to the usual routine, they used hot stones to massage your legs! Definitely felt pampered!! I started going here in January to get acrylics done because the reviews were great, the pictures others have posted made it look like I wouldn't have super gaudy looking acrylics, and the prices couldn't be beat. I kept my acrylics for a good 6 months or so, and was always really happy with how they looked and the service that I got. I took a break from acrylics at the beginning of the summer and only recently got back to getting my nails done, but decided to go with no chip manicures instead. I made the mistake of doing groupons at several different places so I could get cheaper no chip manis but was always left with nails that weren't done well or started peeling after a week. So I went back to Simply Nails, this time for my first no chip mani from them, and it's been a solid two weeks and my nails still look great. Soo...this used to be my go-to place. I never really write reviews nor am I really a regular at any establishment but was for this place because i LOVE the hot rocks they use. But- I felt compelled to write a review because i feel like I kinda got ripped off and I think thats pretty uncool. From the beginning, I felt rushed. I usually get a regular 26$ pedicure here but after an all nighter working on my master's thesis + working full-time hours on my feet at work, I wanted to pamper myself and relax. So I asked for a menu of the "special" pedicures. I picked one for 50$ (the jasmine pedicure) as it includes the hot rocks and a "20 minute massage". In reality, make it a 2 minute half assed "lets get her out of here" ordeal. In fact, I feel like I've had longer, more fulfilling pedicures here for the regular price. I understand having a booked up schedule and trying to make money but don't make promises on the service menu and charge double if the actual service is about the same as a regular pedicure. I feel like I wasted my money. Not only that, I was so underwhelmed that I bought a groupon coupon for a hot rock massage elsewhere on top of the 80$ I spent at Simply Nails. From now on, I'll be going elsewhere. Edit to comment on owners response: I am usually a very understanding and fair/just critique. I understand that customers usually misjudge time but I was looking at the TIME during my service to ensure I got what I paid for, and it was certainly not 15 minutes as I had my phone in front of my face the entire service with my attention on the time. At most, it was 3-4 minutes. Also, I would not have minded waiting as long as it took for another available tech to get exactly what I paid for that you advertise on your pamphlet. I travel up from Plainfield every two weeks to get a no-chip mani-pedi. This is the best place I have ever been. From the hot neck/shoulder wraps, free refreshments - from water to wine, hot stone massages included in the basic pedi, amazing techs (I have tried all of them), great selection of colors - both regular and no-chip - and the cleanliness of the salon, this place is head & shoulders above the rest. I have never considered the lashes until I found out Simply Nails does them, but I sure am now! It may require a 2-hour round trip drive, but I will not go anywhere else. My experience here was far less than pleasant. First after calling days in advance to make an appointment and confirmed the time multiple times I still waited 45 minutes after my appt time before anyone started on me . When I arrived(on Time) they knew my name and the the services I required which was a pleasant because I thought I was going to get taken care of right away( how wrong was I). I was told to pick out my color which I knew in advance since I had a event that required a certain color anyway. I sat for 5 mins before they Told me to sit in the pedicure station. Cool I didn't mind that little wait. After 15 mins of being in the water no one had said anything to me everyone kept walking by (even the owner).After 20 mins I asked the receptionist when will I get started she said a couple mins which turned out to be 30 more mins.(in total 40mins in the water) Mind you there was another lady who had the same appt time and arrived before me in the same situation. Also there was people who arrived in later than we did and I guess because they're "regulars" got there appointments started on time which was very upsetting and piss poor customer service. The lady who did my pedicure was wonderful she could see I was upset and trying to make conversation but at that point I was over it. Id go to her just for a pedicure again.I guess they could see I was still upset when done with pedicure so they owner decided to do my nails. She never apologize for my wait and She criticized the nail tech before work. with her my nails were rushed( she had another client behind)she kept checking her phone and I had to tell her to clean up my nails. and mind you my nails polished literally chipped the second day(I get no chip). And One nail has already broken. Hasn't been a full week. Another customer came in with the same issue btw. Overall, I spent 3 hours in this salon to get basic service and I'll never return. If it wasn't the only time I had available before my event I would've left. I'm mostly just disappointed because I thought this would be my new space since I've been on the look out. Just based off the reviews My hopes were high and I was extremely let down at the poor customer service and how the owner did nothing to rectify the situation. She took her time and was a total perfectionist, something you almost never see at a nail salon. My nails came out perfect! The pedicure was wonderful. Even just getting the basic pedicure they use hot stones and warm towels. They also ask if you'd like something to drink while getting your pedicure. Water, pop, wine!!!
