I was definitely curious how they would accommodate clients during the COVID-19 pandemic, and when I visited Simply Nails yesterday I was very impressed! They have all clients read and sign/initial a form to verify they have not recently experienced any of the symptoms of coronavirus, take your temperature before entering, all employees and clients were wearing masks (properly!), had plexiglass dividers between clients and employees, and sanitize EVERYTHING! The woman even gave me hand sanitizer before I touched the gel nail color display. They had signs up regarding new laws & certificates to show they have undergone training on sanitation/COVID. I think this really goes to show how much Simply Nails cares about their clientele and their focus on cleanliness! Definitely made a lifetime client out of me! read more

Best nail salon in the area! Everything is always very clean, everyone is super nice and friendly. They offer many spa pedicures but even their basic is a great pedicures with a warm stone massage. I have been coming here for a long time and every time I come the experience is amazing. I bring in crazy nail art pictures from Pinterest every time and Michelle always gets it perfect. There hasn't been anything she wasn't able to do. I don't usually write reviews on here but I am this time because I love this place and because I don't understand the negative reviews people have left. It's never too busy here - it's always nice and relaxing and everyone is really accommodating and sweet. I have been coming here for over 10 years since I was in middle school. Whenever I travel home to visit my family I make it appoint to plan around getting my nails done because that's how much I loved coming here. The ladies here know me well, have always been nice and catch up with me on life whenever I come. I hate to say that after this past visit to the salon a few days ago, I will never be returning again. Sue and the employees I have known for years truly put me in the most rude and uncomfortable situation trying to charge me at the end for something that happened with my mom 9 months prior. Long story short, my mother who has been recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's didn't pay 15$ for a massage she thought was complimentary back in April. They didn't make her aware of the charge and since I had sent her there alone with a gift certificate she didn't come with money. They made her feel very uncomfortable and ruined her experience that I wanted to be nice for her. I'm not sure she even understood exactly what was going on but the fact that they didn't just let it go, frustrates me. They remembered that and when I came in with my mom last week they tried to charge me 9 months later for that. That shows what kind of people they are. Just absolutely so rude to do to someone who has been a loyal customer for 10+ years and super offensive to me. Have some compassion and respect especially to loyal customers. Disgusting. read more

This is a fantastic salon. Sue and her team are friendly and warm -- you always feel like an honored visitor. Prices are very reasonable and they have a good variety of services. They also keep the place meticulously clean - all instruments are in sealed sterilization packages, and they use foot baths that do not have pipes that can collect bacteria. None of the manicurists rush - they give good massages and are careful with their work. I visit here whenever I'm in town (usually a few times per year, and they always remember me). If you are considering going here for SNS powder manicures DO NOT! At first I was happy with their wide selection of colors but...They really did a poor job and the application was messy and uneven. My nails on one hand were filed way too short, she did not file to the shape I wanted (stiletto) and after correcting her several times I gave up completely because there wasn't much left to file.. I went home and filed them myself to the correct shape and matching length. If you want SNS powder nails, go somewhere else. read more

Even though there is a Nail Salon on every corner this is the only one I will go to. They are clean and courteousand the Manis and Pedis last. Every customer who walks in gets greeted and if you are a return visit (even if it is your second time) you get greeted by name, kinda like Cheers the sitcom. read more

Had the worst experience here with my daughter (1) none of the staff smiled or seemed happy (2) the pedicure girls were whispering to each other during our pedicure, leading us to believe that they were talking about us (3) The TV was playing the 5pm news, where gun violence and suicide were the hot topics and this was completely inappropriate for a place where we go to "relax" and "unwind". My daughter had nightmares about the news. (4) The place was so quiet, like there was no life inside of there (5) the owner sat on her phone the entire time, didnt even look up- it was the most unfriendly experience I have ever had. This is the second time I have made appointments and upon arrival all chairs are full. Daughter waited 40 mins with feet soaking in spa. My pedicure was done but I didn't have time for polish. We left before services were complete based on time. Not honoring appointments is bad for business and they after many years have lost mine. Disappointed. read more

This place is cute, relaxing and ultra clean. The pedicure and manicure were high attention to detail, more so than anywhere else I've been. The back massage was incredible. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is the price. They were the most expensive place I've been to so far. $65 for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure. Considering I've gotten the same at other places for $45 - $60 I think they could come down just a bit. read more

Way too expensive for what it is. It's a very busy environment and not at all relaxing with people constantly coming and going. $55.00 for a spa pedicure in Waldwick NJ without any chance of relaxing is crazy. The girl who did the pedicure was very nice and friendly and competent, and it did last for close to an hour start to finish. Not needing an appointment is good and bad. It's good because if you need something last minute or just feel like getting something done on that day on a whim you can do it. It's bad because if all the pedicurists are already with a customer for example when you walk in, I felt the work started to get rushed to accomadate the new customer. And having them sit next to you in an empty pedi chair while they wait for the pedi girl to finish didnt help matters any. 2 stars because it is too overpriced for what you get, and to not be able to relax and enjoy it at least just makes it worse. read more

I have been going to this salon for a good 9,10 years. My daughter, daughter-in-laws & friends of theirs have gone to this salon frequently. My now new daughter-in-law goes pretty faithfully every 2 weeks for at least 2 years now. In the past I have been very happy with the service I received here. Over the years there were little blurbs along the way but no deal breakers. But this past September Sue really disappointed myself & my girls. With a wedding on 9-22-18 I called spoke with Sue (owner) & made us appts. & specified who we wanted to do our services. I also stated who we did not want due to 2 bad experiences prior to this appt. Low & behold she sat the groom & the bride with, D????. She ruined my nails & I have Michelle to thank for giving me nails that would make me happy for the wedding. When I attempted to address the issue in a non-confrontational way I was ignored by Sue. She only addressed the issue when I made a scene making my daughter-in-law get out of D????? chair & I walked out stating I would never return. With the morning ruined it then proceeded to stress the groom, bride, mother of the groom (me), maid of honor (my daughter) & flower girl (my granddaughter) out. It was then Sue had the nerve to come outside & ask me how I could speak to her like I was. Sue, more importantly, how could you treat me & my girls the way you did. It was their wedding. Michelle, thank you for being the professional you are & working so hard to make us happy. Letty thanks for the great pedi. I now find myself contemplating looking for a new nail salon. I've been to many different nail salons, but the quality and atmosphere here cannot be beat. This place is amazing! I got my nails done, and they did excellent work! First, they will trim your nails, and then, they file them, and then put on lotion and massage your hands. Then they spritz your nails and then dry your hand with a hot towel. Then, they actually do the manicure. I got all my nails done a tealish kind of color, and then an accent nail which was gold. Then, you dry your nails with lanel, and then you put on a sealing protection. They do amazing work, and are very friendly! I am not sure who I had. They take their time, and give amazing massages.
