She bought it in 1967 and had it reupholstered 18 years ago with beige silk brocade with very faint pink highlights. This couch was for guests when they visited. She passed and left it for me, knowing that I would take care of it. Even though it is beautiful, it is a very light color and I am concerned about that because I am going to use it every day so I had a cover made for it. This is where Pieced on Earth, Janet and her staff come in. I chose a deep green suede material. The first time I saw just one pillow completed, I almost cried. It is absolutely beautiful. She personally designed the covered for the rest of the couch adding customized touches that made it look so close to upholstered that I just had to hug it, I feel all the love she put into it. I discussed the history and she understood my desire to honor my mother and take care of it. Her attention to detail is a testament to her craftsmanship. She wanted to make sure I am happy. And I tell you she made me so very happy. I just wanted a customized slip cover. She discussed piping details with me, that I didn't even think of and how she secured the bottom looks almost like she removed the existing fabric and covered the frame. It is beautiful. She even detailed the base at the of the back of the couch cover. The curved section was a little tricky, but she took her time and looked at it checking with me to make sure, it was to my liking, I also told her it was too low for me. Solution, she had me order some 6 "wooden legs that look simply fabulous, like they were there all along. As we discussed the cover, I got a good feeling, she understood how important this process was for me. She is so personable and talented. I trusted her with a couch that has a lot of history and she respected it, took care of it and covered it with love. She is just the best and I am so glad I met her. I purchased 2 home entertainment sets, a sectional, and sofa love seat combo June 2024. Delivery of…read moremost of these items were in July. Within maybe 3-4 months the sectional started peeling. When I reached out to David at HomeLife Furnishing he said the manufacture had a one year warranty on the sectional but that only the pieces of the couch that were peeling would be replaced. At that time I had requested to return the couch because I figured the peeling would continue but David said that couldn't be done. So instead, 2 pieces of the sectional were replaced. Fast forward, we have had the sectional for 1 year and 3 months and it is still peeling. The sofa/love seat we purchased is the same material as the sectional but I did not have the same issue. The sofa/love seat gets plenty of traction but so far I haven't seen any sort of cracking or peeling. After spending almost $7K in the store I am really disappointed in the quality and the lack of customer service to address the sectional. I definitely understand quality has certainly changed throughout the years and nothing lasts forever, but I shouldn't have to replace my sectional after only having it for a year! $1600 plus down the drain.

I was told that multiple conduct complaints have been made to Home Depot who uses this company for their cabinet installations. My experience has been no different. His actions demonstrated a lack of capacity for problem-solving when challenges arose. Instead of working to resolve issues, - knowing they are inevitable in this industry and should be expected in any remodel - the owner dismissed my concerns and pressured me with threats of fines, added fees and installation delays if the installation did not continue on his time frame. This showed no regard for the consequences and added problems, I would be left to solve. Decisions appear to have been made for the benefit of his company, not me, the customer. His installers had the means to fix the small flooring issue at the time of discovery. He would not let them, citing the company was "too busy." His decision left an entire family without a kitchen for what is now an unknown but much greater period of time than expected. Currently, there is no accountability for the consequences of the owner's choices and conduct, and the reason for my warning to everyone considering Korifi Construction in the future. Beware! It has cost me significant stress, financial increases and delays, and demonstrates his consistent disregard for the obligations owed to all of us, the customer.

We stopped by Granite Expos this month, and we worked with Emily on purchasing Granite Counters and…read moreSink to replace the dated tile. We provided all of the measurements and the complete layout of the kitchen. We decided to go with granite instead of quartz since the residence is rental property. Granite Expo prices are very reasonable and the products looks very nice. More importantly we came to a speedy agreement on all of the material and installation date. Last year we purchased granite counters & sink from Granite Expo. However, the installation team performed poorly. Emily assured us she would send a very good installer, and the last installer, no longer works for Granite Expo. Kemin Guo the installer (granite installer/kitchen remodeling/painting/floor installation) arrived on time. He reviewed the plywood installation, and he gave specific instructions on removing a couple of shims. He immediately went to work with one additional worker. Keri said he would be done in 3 hours. Kemin had finished the granite installation in 2 hrs 45 mins, then began applying sealant & caulking. They cleaned up their mess once everything was completed. Overall, we are giving Kemin and his (1) additional installer & Granite Expo .... 5 stars ***** for going far an above expectation.
