I called two days before to make an appointment to get my new born ears pierced. Drove a long way to get there on time to be told. The lady was working alone and could not do my appointment for another hour. So waited the time to come back to And the new girl was there to help. As the older lady walks out the building with a bag. So she could have helped us just choose not to. As the other lady is helping us the machine gets stuck in my two month old ear. She's tugging and twisting as my child is screaming. And they did nothing to try to help us but an apology. The worst experience ever. I will never return to this place again l read more

Elisa re-pierced my 3 year old Daughter's ears because she had lost her diamond studs and the holes closed. Elisa is extremely patient, warm and inviting. Me and my sister both got our ears pierced at this Claire's location, TO SAY THAT THIS WAS THE BIGGEST REGRET OF OUR LIFE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Both of us have really sensitive skin so the employees suggested for us to get our ears pierced with the sensitive solution earrings. The piercing process went smooth however, two days after having the earrings in, our ears started inflaming and were surrounded with rashes (we were told these earrings wouldn't affect our ears or cause any irritation). Even after 5 months with this ear piercing, both of us still can't find comfort in our ears where the hole is nor are we able to change our earrings without pain. We have tried using the alcohol solution they provided us with but that didn't help anything. This may have also been a result of the dirty guns they pierced our ears with. Not to mention that ALL of the sensitive solution earrings Claire's sells irritate our ears to a horrifically painful extent. Overall, I do NOT recommend coming here to get your ears pierced or to buy earrings. read more

This store has tons of little trinkets and nicknacks for a teenage girl. It could be a heaven for her. When I was in my early teens, I thought it was. I wasn't really able to buy anything from there because I was broke all the time. Haha Now that I look at it in my 20s, they just have a lot of STUFF. I mean they have some practical things, such as hats, scarves, and boots for the cold weather, or wallets (because I tend to break or rip them ever so often). There are also things I don't even need at all, such as a ring holder thing looking like the Eiffel Tower or a shelf. They do sell make up, jewelry, hair accessories, and other accessories, such as bags and key chains. But, it's usually with a hefty price tag. For some time make up kit, it would cost around $10 or a little jewelry pack for $12. No wonder I couldn't afford it. Either way, if I had money or not, I probably wouldn't buy it. I already have all the things I need at home. Just yesterday, my best friend bride-to-be, her sister, and I came here to buy a necklace and earrings to match the dress my best friend had ordered (yes, we are that cheap). They had an ok selection of fine-looking jewelry. We found something that looked similar to the dress's design. While we were searching for the items, there was a girl that was caught shoplifting and the employees called security and brought her into the store. But my, oh my, she stole A LOT of things. The employees did the right thing by getting mall security and banning that girl from the store, though I thought it would have been even better if they had called the police to have her arrested on site and have the entire area watching. That girl should be ashamed. One of her friends even yelled at one of the employees saying that the employee was being rude to them. From what I saw, the employee wasn't rude at all. Of course, she was mad that the girl was shoplifting and that her friend was defending her. There are people in this world so ridiculously stupid or off in their minds to believe that stealing is ok. Perhaps, that girl should go and see a shrink for all the other bad behavior she was dealing with... After that incident, the employees were really apologetic for the inconvenience that it might have cause for us, but we didn't mind. We were just too focused on getting the jewelry for the wedding. They did let us know about a sale going on and we politely declined. The employees were really nice people. In the end, we were able to leave happy with what we got, even if it is a store for mostly teenagers. If you look hard, perhaps you can find something worth your dollar. And, perhaps see some "mall cop" show live. haha read more

I've been going to this Claire's location every now and then over the years. I stopped by recently to get my ear re-pierced in the same spot, since it closed a little over 10 years ago now and I wanted it back. The girl working there was caught up with chatting with her guy friend upon entering the store. Initially I thought we were going to be ignored; however, she was pretty attentive and helpful. The piercing went well, but she spilled a lot of the ear cleaning solution on my jacket after piercing my ear. Other than that, I had a decent shopping experience here. As I said earlier, I hardly ever visit this place and each time I do I receive average customer service. 3 out of 5 stars. read more

A place to go for cheap jewelry, ideal for young girls or teens. I used to love this place when I was a teenager. It's accessory heaven! Now that I have a daughter of my own I took her here to pick out some things for the first day of school. While we shopped around I noticed the employee's eyes following my hands whenever I talked to her or asked her a question. They clearly have a high percentage of lost merchandise, but I didn't think they would target a mom in her late 20's with her young daughter along. Oh well, I guess I could be an ax murderer for all they know. This place didn't have nearly as much Hello Kitty merchandise as the lady at The Icing (their sister store) led me to believe. My daughter is in love with HK and we were hoping so score a new necklace or some kinda somethin'. After much looking we settled on a chain necklace with a silver heart pendant dotted with costume diamonds. Before selecting that though, the employee was unable to tell me where on the chest each length of necklace would hit. I had hoped they would have an image in store like ones I've seen online illustrating the lengths of each common chain length on a person's neck and chest. Nope. Not available. Trying on the jewelry is tricky too because it's packaged with the clasp taped inside and folded into the hanging shop tag. The lady had to cut the tag open with scissors but acted like it was something they do often. A couple months have past since my daughter got her pretty silver plated necklace and the metal on the pendant has already started to viably tarnish and turn brassy. My daughter doesn't mind, but it's not a place I would shop for my own jewelry. I did however, pick up some cute nail art accessories for myself while we were there. Will we be back? Probably at the start of the next school year, though I'll make sure she takes the necklace off more often the next time around. read more

I had 3 of my cartilage piercings done here! They use disposable guns that are for one time use only. If you ever go and get yours done, Monique is really cool , very nice and friendly! they value your preference and also give really good advice if you're having troubles picking the best spot for your piercing . Also, pain-wise, dont worry bout it! Pain scale is 2/10, my mom pinches harder than this :D i'm glad i went here and checked it out myself rather than listening to the things people say on google. Took my twins to get their ears pierced! On a Sunday so it was kinda crowded. There was a young lady getting hers done so we waited while I picked the earings. The lady made sure I was happy with the placement then did the piercing she qas very patient given that my babies are only 2 months! So it's really unfortunate that im having to write this review, specially since Claire's is the place i had my baby daughter get her ears pierced when she was a few months old. But im inclined to write this and inform the public how my mother was treated HORRIFICALLY when we visited the evening of 7/30/2014. My daughter is now 1 year and 3 months old and needing a new pair of earrings. We thought that it was a good idea to visit Claire's since it was our go to place. Little did we know that it was going to be the exact opposite. We walk in and was greeted normally, there were 3 girls working the floor at the time. My mother, carrying my daughter, went to check out earrings as my sister and I walked around the store to browse. Everything was fine until my sister overheard one of the employees call for security. The store had a few other customers and honestly we thought the security was called for someone else. Then one of the employees approached my sister and told her to tell my mom "to put the earrings back." Confused at the request my sister asked what happened. Apparently the HEAVY SET mid-20s mexican employee wearing stripes suspected my mom STEALING $6 EARRINGS WHILE CARRYING MY 1YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND CALLED SECURITY ON HER. The entire situation was both embarrassing and horrifying and i feel so bad my mother was made the center of it. EVERYONE AT THE STORE STOPPED SHOPPING AND HAD ALL THEIR EYES ON US. MY MOTHER'S EYES WERE WATERY EXPLAINING IT WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING. We even asked one of the employees to check her bag and pockets to which the employee replied "Why do i need to look in there? Just put the earrings back. We already called security." There was my mother, a member of the community, a postal carrier for over 10 years, in the center of the store holding a baby while she was being accuse of stealing some $6 pair of earrings, TRAUMATIZED from being a victim of DEFAMATION. Now i don't know what type of training a Claire's employee goes through, but i don't think part of it is speaking to other coworkers in spanish in front of customers and using the word "puto." I know a little spanish and i can tell you they were saying a lot of derogatory things to my mother as we left. Our entire drive home was silent, we all were thinking the same thing- unable to believe what just happened to out mother. I tried calling the store later in the evening and was able to get one of the employees names, Elisa. I asked if i was able to get the other girls names and she told me it was against policy to give names when a customer asks. I've worked retail for over 5 years and never have i came across a policy where i wasnt allowed to give an employees name to a customer who asked for it. I'm just hoping im able to give enough information about this very unfortunate incident so hopefully someone that works for Claire's can do something about this if they care about customer satisfaction, because at this point they lost my respect as a customer, as well as the rest of my families respect and all my friends that we will be sharing this with. Walked in with my wife and kids and didn't get any kind of greeting. I noticed that there was 3 girls working. Two of them standing in the back having a conversation, and the other helping a customer. I've worked customer service for years and this was very poor customer care. Me and my family came to visit the Fairfield mall 2hrs away to be disrespected by the manager. Me and my family we're looking for an IPhone case and earrings for my niece my nephew just so happen to be holding a pair and he manager said my nephew and was breaking all of the earrings I stated to her politely he only has one pair in his hands And if he breaks them I will pay for them no big deal. I continue to do my shopping but the manager continues to be disrespectful and talk about me and my family to another employee making rude comments while mi niece is in front of them looking at them phone cases I finally became upset and ask if there was an issue why was she making disrespectful comments about me in front of my niece who is only 10yrs old, no adult should be behaving and making disrespectful naming calling for.
