We needed to get our tank serviced in lieu of selling our house. My wife contacted these guys to come out and give us a quote. Aside form the unfriendly attitude she got on the phone, they arrived on time and were quick to find the tank. So far so good. They informed me that they needed to get a Backhoe in the back yard to dig out where the lid was. The tank is only about 18 inches deep. Not only was it impossible to get a small backhoe through a 36" gate, I told them that the last guys who serviced our tank 10 yrs ago just dug it up by hand in about 5 minutes. He looks at me and says "you can dig it up." Aside from being flabbergasted and a little pissed off, I told them that I didn't want them tearing up my yard and crushing my sprinkler heads to only find out they tractor will not fit through the gate. He then said that I could find some other guys to do the job, so I said I will, and they left. In this economy, it amazes me how unwilling some people are to do a little hard work, and, the kind of attitude they bring to a jobsite. In honesty, I can't evaluate their work because they did none, we never got to that point. But, I can only imagine with a work ethic and attitude like they displayed, it probably would have been subpar anyway, and that's saying a lot since all they do is pump crap out of a tank. read more

We had another company that had to come out for an emergency pump and told us we had to replace our drain field. I called Simply Septic because they had great reviews and wanted another opinion. I had also seen reviews that mentioned our similar issue and that they resolved it with a treatment instead. That's exactly what Simply Septic ended up doing! They came out, inspected everything, and the guys were super nice and explained all things septic to me! Luckily they were able to do the treatment and we didn't have to replace our drain field!! In the end I got the job done for under $250, no bushes removed. They had no idea what they were talking about and they did not want to help. I imagine if you have any challenge, like a bush or a hill that might give these guys a challenge, go with another company. Huge waste of my time and gave me a bunch of false information. I'm new to Georgia and I just bought a home. My home is on septic instead of sewer. I have never owned a home on septic, but I had hear that you should clean out your tank every 7-10 years so I called the company for a clean out. I was out of town when the guys showed up but I got a call from the company telling me that my leach fields were clogged and no longer draining properly. I was told there were a few other small pipe problems. The total cost of the job was $3,500 but if I did it that day, the cost would be $3,000. I was perplexed that a simple clean out of my tank could go from costing $500 to the whole leach field not working properly. I declined the discount offer of $3,000 and got another quote from another local company. The crew from that company came out and and cleaned out my tank for the $500 and they ran water for 30 min in my leech field to make sure there were no problems. They told me that I didn't need the leech field cleaned and if I did, it would only cost me $1,000. I would strongly recommend that you take several bids if you decide to get a quote from this company. This left a very bad taste in my mouth. They came out, took a look and told me that everything looked good. They offered to pump it, but ultimately told me that I didn't need it pumped. I called them to get my septic pumped and we set up a time for them to come out the next day. It was a good response. They came out and opened my septic on the drain side. They pulled out my filter and cleaned it. They didn't charge me for that. Which I respect. Then we got into the discussion of pumping it. The guy was really personable and friendly. He went into what we need to do and what is wrong. In the end the quote was $2500. Yes you read that correctly $2500!!!!! I just wanted it pumped, no clogs or back ups. These guys are out here fear selling and taking advantage of people that don't know. I like supporting local but not if they are taking advantage of the people that don't know. The people there are nice I'll give them that, but the price is outrageous. I got my septic pumped and inspected by a more reputable company for more than 75% less than what Simply Septic quoted. The more reputable company said everything was good. They are nice people but don't let them fool you!!!! They are crooks! read more

0 's Almost got shafted by these guys today, was told I needed a cleaning for $2500 or a repair and system flush for $5700 and that I had 15 minutes to decide if and how I wanted to pay cause the crew had other customers to attend to. Called another company that charged me $450 and said no repair was even necessary and he won't charge me for work that didn't need to be done. Called out Simply Septic after we had a Clog in pipes.Husband Snaked.pipes cleared the line but just to make sure we did not need septic pumped and system operational .Simply Septic told us everything was fine and no pump required..They did not even charge a service charge! The technician explained things to me, and gave me tips for maintaining my septic system. He only did the work that was necessary, and was careful to not mess-up my yard any more than necessary. I recently had a problem with a backed-up septic due to an invading root problem. I called 3 companies and they all told me basically the same thing, including George at Simply Septic: I probably had a bigger problem, but the first step was to PUMP the tank, clean out the roots, and go from there. Simply Septic was the cheapest option and considering the additional expense that I was probably going to incur, thought I should save as much as possible on the front end. But I guess I got what I paid for, because instead of pumping my tank, George simply scooped up the solid waste floating on the top of the tank and dumped it in my yard. Instead of clearing as much root infestation as possible, his helper pulled out one small root ball that he could reach from the edge of the tank. Instead of having ANYTHING better, I still had a full tank and a root problem IN THE TANK, which George was kind enough to show me (though I already knew this: it's why I called him). When I asked him about pumping the tank, his response was simply, "I didn't even bring my pump truck." Since he didn't DO everything that we discussed for the agreed upon price, because he didn't bring his pump truck, I assumed his cost for services would reflect that. Nope! Full price. I guess that saying about assuming is proven right once again. If you do business with George, I would definitely insist on a WRITTEN estimate that shows EVERYTHING to be done. read more

I would choose zero stars if there was that option. This company quoted me $400 to pump a 1500 gallon tank. They came out, dug it up, then told me I needed to spend another 180 to pump because it was full (most tanks are when they get pumped). Then they played a little game with us scaring us into needing to spend another $3k to remediate the lines with a chemical. Unfortunately a "simple pump" of septic turned into a $2,700 project. Stated that leach bed needed pumped and a chemical added. Wish I hadn't been at work and wish I had done my research prior because I am not the only one that has been gouged after they arrived.
