Went here for the first time with my sister for a gel manicure, they did a fabulous job and we're very gentle. (I have very thin and sensitive nails) I wanted to get my hair colored darker and asked a couple questions and I ended up going back later in the day for a cut and color, which also turned out fabulous. Christine did my hair and it turned out great which was just in time for family photos for Easter. This shop is consistently good. I've gone here a handful of random times and they have never disappointed. Tonight I got a luxury pedicure (40$) and Nichole took such good care of me. I got there at about 5:45 and didn't leave till 7:15!! (Granted it wasn't very busy) but she seriously made sure my pedicure was prefect and took her time doing so. She has made this my forever nail home. Went there today for a hair cut. The owner had some older woman cut it. I told her I was growing it out into a long A line so not to take anything off the front sides. Just to raise the back a little bit. When she turned me to dry it I about wanted to cry. She had cut one side up to the bottom edge of my ear and left the other side where it was below my chin line. I really didn't know if I would scream or cry. I had taken so long to grow out. I then had to sit there waiting for the owner to fix it. The owner asked me( what can she do to fix it for me)? Really, really what did she think I wanted. She then said the back would have to be like a pixie. My hair needed to be cut on the other side. I'm back to short hair again. To add insult in the end she said oh I won't charge you for cut. Seriously never again. read more

Just had my eyelashes done by Jenny. She was great. I had them for many years, but then changed my work location and couldn't get back up where I was. I tried several different people and they never did a very good job, the prices were exorbitant and they took forever. If someone says a full set will take 2 to 2 1/2 hours, run away. They are too slow. Jenny was awesome and when I opened my eyes, nothing stuck together and no sting. She uses just the right amount of glue. So glad I found Jenny. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I took my son in to get his hair cut, and walked out with his neck and ear cut in multiple locations. The hairdresser told me she DROPPED the clippers on the ground, and that was when they cut him. (she believed they broke after the drop). I was shocked that she continued to use them after they fell on the floor! I will never go here again for a haircut. read more

I was so disappointed with my experience here. Although the girl that gave me the haircut was nice, she did a terrible job that destroyed years of growing my hair out. I told her I have been growing my hair out for 2 years and that I just wanted to trim off an inch to take off the dead ends. I specifically said I wanted it cut to my collarbone and even held my finger up to show her where I wanted it cut to. By the time she was done, my hair in front was just barely grazing my shoulders and the hair in back was choppy, uneven, and looked like a child had cut it. My husband even commented on how horrible of a job had been done. I was practically in tears because I stopped dyeing my hair, have been taking supplements, and have been working so hard to make it healthy and grow it long--in less than an hour she not only destroyed all that progress but I ended up paying for it. I had to find a different salon the next day and get my hair cut into a short bob( the style I've had for years that I've been trying to grow my hair out of) just to get rid of all the terrible choppy uneven chunks of hair. I will never return to this salon again and the stylist should be ashamed for how poorly she did her job. read more

Simply the best nail salon in San Diego. I've been to plenty, but this salon is different. Christine, the owner of the salon, is sweet and friendly and will remember you after only meeting you once. I use to go to Focus in Santee, but I have switched over. I am a loyal repeat customer as I went to Focus for 10 plus years. I love Chritine! She use to do hair over at Focus. I have had multiple pedicures, got acrylics with polish(by Nam), and had a facial and face waxing by Maggi. Love them all and my husband and son got hair cuts by Christine. Had a bad experience last week it's always something I have given this place lots of chances. They tell you a price and when your about to pay the change up on you. Last week i got my nails done requested regular color with gel on top . The lady doing my nails didn't understand what I wanted and instead did my nails and just put a clear coat of gel to top it off she took about 1 hour and 45 mins I had to leave to get my daughter and had come up and still had to wait another 30 mins for her to finish up. She got mad when I told her I didn't want clear nails she clearly didn't understand English than I told the manger I wanted regular polish with clear on top they said they couldn't do anything I told them either fix my nails how I want them or take them off and give me my money but there was no way I was going pay $30 just for clear nails which I didn't request. The manager and the worker started talking in their language the Maher was upset she walked away the lady ended up fixing my nails how I wanted and were very pretty however when she was done she was like ok bye ok bye when I was simply trying tip her like don't get mad at me because you don't know English not my problem So the total in doing my nails were 2 1/2 hours and they tried change the price as I was paying like they normally do. This is not the first bad experience I've had I've had switched my review before. They are supposed to tell you how much your nails will be before and they change your price when you pay that just shady!!!! read more

If I could give Zero stars I would. I came into the salon for the second time to get my hair washed and blow dried. Christine was the person available. I informed her that I had hair extensions before she started to wash my hair. (Side note: I just had surgery so I needed the help washing my hair and had limited movements.) She let me know that she too installed hair extensions and proceeded to ask me how much I pay. I told her how much I paid and she told me she could do them cheaper. I let her know that I already have a hair dresser and was happy with her. So I nicely turned down her offer in other words. She finished washing my hair, took me to her chair, and then told me that my hair was completely matted. I was in shock. She tangled my human hair extensions so badly that after 1 hour they still couldn't unravel my hair. I had to go to my hair stylist pay to get my hair extensions removed the same day. My hair stylist was shocked by they mess Christine had made of my hair. My scalp was soar for days after from Christine tugging at my head to untangle my hair. It was the worst experience I have ever had. I asked for the owners information. She gave me his email I emailed him asking to please make this right. I was extremely reasonable, just asking him to pay for my hair and I would pay for the installation. So pretty much I asked him to pay less then half of what I would have to pay for new Mirco bead extensions. I heard from him the first day, he asked for a copy of the receipt, which I provided. Then I never heard from him again. You would think that his company's reputation is worth more then the cost of my hair. Apparently not. Unfortunate for sure. I will never go back! I hope my review helps someone else out there avoid this horrible business. read more

I am so very disappointed in this place. I've been many times now. Now the last time I came was just infuriating. I asked for a specific gel polish that looked purple on their test nails they have and I asked for a cat eye on my ring fingers. Well the lady that did my nails charged me for "reshaping" the nails they did 2 weeks prior, didn't do a cat eye even tho I asked her multiple times if she was doing it and she said yes. When I left I looked at my nails and they were a BROWN! Not even close to the purple i chose. I was in a rush so I left to my app then called and said I needed it fixed Christine the manager said she would make it right and fix it for me. Came in not even an hour after I initially left and she was rude and argumentative and said that it was the same color I chose and it's a manufacturer defect Well why does it look like a deep purple on your tester? It's not my fault that you're advertising a different color when it's a crappy brown. So I asked if she could just change the color because I wanted a specific color she said she would for $25. I was livid because the color i got is a COMPLETELY different color than the one I picked and I didn't get the cat eye I wanted. She in turn argued with me and said that she didn't charge me for it. Well why?! When I specifically asked for it and asked the lady multiple times while she was doing my nails if she was doing it. I left angry and called back and said I was really disappointed in the service. So she had me come back the next day to change the color, so I got a deep purple and at the end of the appointment she said that my nails thinned out a lot because I decided to change the color I looked at them and they are uneven and lumpy and just terrible. I can't even stand to look at my nails. But I already paid for the fill and they wouldn't budge on fixing them for me so I have to wait to get them done again. I will not be coming back here. The prices they advertise isn't what you pay, you pay what the nail technician says you pay, you could be going in and expecting to pay $40 and you pay $70 because apparently they also charge you per nail that's lifting and "reshaping" them even tho it's the nails they had done and were the same shape as last time (happened 2 times to me now). The lady's I had dealt with All 3 times including Christine the manager are very rude and argumentative. I have so much more to say about this place I had faith in and gave them multiple chances. But I will be looking for a new place. read more

My nails are so beyond crooked. I've been going here for some time and I have seen a decline in service. They turn out nail techs like crazy and the people they are bringing in are not great. The last time I went lani did my nails and they looked like a toddler did them. Crooked, bumpy, they looked grown out the first day. I went back in and Christin "fixes" them. My nails are all different lengths and still crooked. The prices are increasing but the service is declining rapidly. So sad that the people in there aren't quality anymore. read more
