I usually splurge for a mani/pedi once or twice a year. Went in a couple weeks ago for my annual birthday pampering. Maggie and Mary did an amazing job and gave my nails a wonderful nod to the Disney 100 celebration look. Today I went back to remove my dip nails and get a gel manicure. Maggie was able to take care of my manicure and took her time to hand place my glitter to make sure it didn't look clumpy. Take about attention to detail! Thank you ladies!

I hadn't been here for quite awhile, due to I was going closer to my work before. Then the pandemic, etc. Yet I am so happy to be back. Today Tom did my mani and I love the color , shape and overall a great job. My pedi went great as well. I'm ready for the 4th of July. If you need a good salon you can trust. This is the place. Great People! Great haircut! I'm really pleased with the outcome of our visit to simply shear. Although I was nervous when I showed up because our appointment was at 6:30pm and I had a 2 year old waiting to get her hair cut, they did not start her hair until 6:50pm. I would recommend communicate before hand about your child's temperament to make sure and needs are met. The hairstylist wasn't expecting my daughter at two to sit by herself, but she was able to. This is why I said communicate beforehand with the hairstylist to let them know whether your child can sit on their own or not thank you very much simply Shear and spa. We are very pleased with your service.

Went in with my daughter. She got s haircut and I got a pedi Very gentle with my sensitive feet. Very friendly. Liked the decor. We will be back. Went back again with my other daughter. Great experience again. My pedicure by Lani was fantastic. Everyone is so very friendly and efficient. The salon is extremely clean and beautiful set with big and comfortable chairs. This place is HORRIBLE!! They messed my hair up. Missing pieces of my hair at the roots and over my ears and I went back to figure it out and they were rude and said they could re bleach my hair but it was going to take a couple hours. They couldn't give me money back. They fried my hair and it looks horrible. The place is not clean. It is covered in hair and they barely clean up after anyone gets a cut. I watched multiple people not clean tools after using them on a client. I would give them no stars if that was possible. I recommend going to a different spot. I can't say enough about how bad this place is. read more

I went here to get my nails done recommended by my grandma. My nail tech took her time to make sure everything looked right and was patient with me, even though I can be kind of difficult sometimes, but I love how my nails turned out! read more

Simply Shear & Spa was wonderful. I got my nails filled here by Nam and he did an excellent job. He took his time and was very kind. Tracy did my pedicure and was very polite and took her time as well. Stop in and say Hi to Christine as well, she runs the shop in a professional manner and runs a tight ship. Everyone was very helpful and they all want to please the customers. The shop is new and clean and has been open for 9 1/2 weeks. Give them a try, you will be pleasantly pleased. read more

I do not know anything about nails, but my wife went to this salon once. The girl grabbed her hand furiously ground down her nails with the stone, then started working on them. Eight months later, they have stopped cracking and have started to heal. A nail salon is a people place, and based on what I have seen this place has no interest in people. read more

So me and my cousin decided we wanted to get our nails done and she really wanted chrome so we decided to go here because they have a lot of options for the chrome. The ladies there are so so nice and funny and she was pretty gentle with my hands/ nails for the most part. I absolutely LOVE the shape of my nails! They are perfect, BUT there are air bubbles on every single nail!!! And on my right hand she filed down my nails and you can even see it through the powder. Right from the start this place went above and beyond to make my experience here amazing. When I walked in I was greeted and my nails were checked, I was shown to my seat and shortly after John came to my nail rescue. I was treated as if I've been his client for years! I have honestly never been as happy with my nails as I am now! I recommend John to everyone!!! I prefer the coffin nail shape which he is a master at,not too long not too short,literally just perfect! I also enjoyed their spa pedicure,which I only have more positive things to say about it! The service was very friendly but the reason for the 2 stars is because they did a really bad job on my nails. I came for a fill and pedicure. The pedi was wonderful but the fill took forever and they didn't even look like they did anything. There was still gaps and the polish (gel) was patchy. I had almond shapes and told her I wanted the same shape and she did a weird kinda oval shape. read more

After the first lady started to cut my hair, I knew I was in trouble. I said two inches off the bottom length, about 4"to 5" later, she gave up. Said out loud in her language, walked away, and insisted someone else finish, everybody laughed. But me, I was not happy! The second lady tried to fix the length issues. I kept telling her it was not even, about an inch difference from one side to the other. She never fixed that. When I showed her the difference in length at the back, she said no it's cut into a V in the back. Why? I didn't asked for it that way. I told her I was going to a wedding tomorrow and she said, "Oh". She asked me if I wanted more layering, I asked if I have any hair left to do that, she said yes, okay then can you fix the uneven sides to? No it didn't matter. My hair was long, I just wanted the ends cut off and some layers so the hair would bump under when flat ironing. Now my hair is short!!! and Uneven !!! My daughter gets her nails done by Bryan, he does a good job! So I thought I'd try the hair...never again! read more

I've been going here for almost maybe nine months and the last time I've been here was the day before I left to Vegas for my birthday I was having issues with them after the very first time I had been to them every time I would leave it was like the job is really sloppy or my nails would break two or three days after so when I went for my birthday the last time in August I said I would never go back because three days later they broke again while I was getting an oil change nearby and I really want my nails done so I said OK let me try them out again the same lady who did my nose last time she did it again this time and she did a phenomenal job she she took care meThese are the best Set of nails I've ever had in my life. This place is amazing! The people there are very friendly and polite. The location is also very convenient with lots of parking space. I did a walk-in to get a manicure and I was helped by Sophia. She did an amazing job! Let's just say she transformed my cave man hands to a flawless set of hands. I'm very happy with her service. I decided to get my eyelashes done here along with a pedicure I have to say these are the most amazing chairs for the pedicure I've ever been in the massage is legit. The technician that did my feet was sweet and kind and did an excellent job on the massage on the legs and feet. Jenny did my eyelash extensions and I couldn't be happier. She was gentle and I swear I almost fell asleep I was so relaxed! I highly recommend this place!! read more

I want to give this place a 5. I appreciate the fact that they took me in on such short notice and how sweet the ladies are. but my nails didn't turn out smooth and I asked for "more pink" multiple times on my ombré. I also got nicked a couple times by the electric tool being used and even got a little cut under two of my nails. But overall the place was very nice and clean, and the ladies were friendly. The only reason I gave a 3 is because my nails looked clumpy and not well blended, I didn't get exactly what I wanted, and I got cut. (Update: it is the next morning and the cuts still hurt) read more

Extremely horrible customer service . Made an appointment for my sister to get a new set at 5:30pm. Someone else called and booked an appointment who happen to have the same name as my sister . EVEN though I was the correct appointment and the one on paper scheduled , the other person was given my sisters appointment and we waited another 30 minutes to even be seen by anyone . I will not be recommending this place to anyone, there was no point in calling for an appointment. read more

I stopped coming here a few months ago because the quality and look of nails kept getting worse and worse. I came back only bc I needed a fill bad and was hoping they would have better nail techs and I was wrong! My nails are horrible and paid $35 for a fill. The nail tech said bc the shape of my nails is the reason they look bad and that can't be right, she's didn't file them down correctly and look bubbly. I wouldn't recommend going there go somewhere else if you can. Very disappointed read more

My Husband bought me two different gift certificates for this nail place; one for my Birthday and another for Mother's Day. I took my Mother to this Nail place on two different occasions and they were rude to My Mother and I and we believe they were negatively referring to us in their language. I have gone on about 3 different occasions to obtain a refund for my gift cards but they would not oblige us. We originally went to this place due to its High ratings but our experience on the last two times we patronized this establishment was horrible. I do not recommend this establishment due to their blatantly rude behavior and overtly racist attitude towards us. read more

Love love LOVE my gel polish!!! I really liked that they have all the gel colors displayed on samples so I'd know exactly how the color would come out. I usually get the classic french tips because they go with everything, but today I decided to try something new. I tried several nail salons in lakeside before finding Simply Shear and Spa and I have been going to this salon for about 2 years. When you walk in the door someone always greets you right away (even when they are swamped). They always treat you like a queen and remember your name as soon as you walk in. Christine is fantastic with gel mani pedi and always so sweet! Vivian is my favorite for acrylic, she does my nails exactly how I ask and they look so nice when she is finished and last FOREVER. I went there I went to get my nails done. I got gel nails and toes. The gel did not last long and my nails were shaped uneven. Christine did my nails and she was nice enough but nice doesn't make my nails look good. Unfortunately, I will not be going back.
