    Pesto chicken melt
    Bruce K.

As a neighborhood spot, I can see how this place is super popular. The surrounding areas are all houses, so when people are trying to get their coffee I can see that this place is one of the top spots just because of convenience. The coffee was good, and the sandwich was alright as well. I wouldn't say I have spectacular comments, but I thought it was decent for what it was. I enjoyed both of the items I got, but I do think I should probably order something different to see if there's something else that is better than what I got. I got the pesto chicken sandwich. It was alright, but I mean I think their other options are more exciting. If you're in the area, I would definitely see why this place is a favorite. Coffee, breakfast spot that isn't microwaved and cooked fresh, and just neighborhood vibes. This place checks all of them.

Great coffee and amazing service! There's a drive thru as well as nice areas for you to sit and enjoy your coffee and food. I love that the coffee is not weak and they put nice pattern on your coffee foam. Bonus is you get a slice of waffle with every coffee! If I lived in Vienna, this would be my go-to place for coffee.

My mom hates salad and she likes theirs so that says a lot on its own. I preferred the spinach avocado salad to the simply's house salad because I felt the former was a lot more unique and the strawberries balanced out the salad a lot. The portions are pretty good -- we weren't able to finish! The coffee was underextracted, though. Overall it's a really nice space for chat or work!

I have meetings across the county for work, so I'm always paying attention for local coffee shops because I don't go to the green mermaid lady shop. I've seen simply social before while in this area but it was before I became a regular coffee drinker (I.e. before having a baby). So I stopped in before my meeting to grab a latte and do my surprise they had breakfast as well. I love bagel sandwiches when I'm out because they're nice and filling, so I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk and a turkey sausage, egg, and cheddar on a plain bagel. - Cashier didn't say hello when I approached was the register and was downright rushing me, which made me forget to say that I wanted my latte half sweet + they have different bread options for sandwiches - no wheat bagel option. I think they have cinnamon raisin, plain, and everything + my latte was delicious and came with a piece of a stroopwaffle on top, nice touch + small space to work inside + free and available parking + food is cooked on a grill and not microwaved Not sure if they have a rewards program but I believe every coffee shop should.

Simply Social is located in a shopping center with a lot of parking, and it has a good amount of seating inside. It's cozy, and everyone working is nice. I ordered a caramel iced latte and the pistachio kouign amann. Honestly, the coffee was so much sweeter than I was expecting, but it was good once the ice melted to water it down. Probably wouldn't go for this flavor again. The kouign amann is exactly as they described it, a cross between a kouign amann and baklava. The pistachio filling was just sweet enough, and I like that they give you the option of getting it heated.

Service was great- nice workers and wait for food wasn't long. Seating is available inside, but all were taken when I was there. Bagel sandwich was really good. The sugar free latte was delicious too.

Simply Social is my go-to happy place! Their London Fog and chai brighten my mornings, and nothing beats a refreshing Fresca during the day. The food is Absolutely delicious. Healthy, simple, and satisfying. I used to pick it up daily while visiting family at the hospital nearby. Staff is amazingly friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for great vibes and even better bites!

    Honey Coconutmilk Latte -- 8/10

Stopped by for a coffee and a quick bite and was not disappointed! The service was great and quick. I ordered a honey coconut milk latte -- 8/10 & a spinach wrap w no cheese or mayo -- 8/10 It was very busy when I came in on a Sunday morning, so I wouldn't sit down here to do work or anything given that it was a bit lousy and crowded. I love that this give you a little waffle bite with your coffee! Will definitely be back to try more on their menu. I just wish they had more vegan options.

Came here to work and relax. Cozy cafe with a dark aesthetic. Seating is very limited- it would be nice if they had outdoor seating! This location also has a drive-through, which I thought was cool. I got the chipotle black bean wrap and a fruit smoothie. I feel like it's a bit expensive for the price point. The baristas and workers were very nice and welcoming.

I'd come back here in a heartbeat. My fiancée and I stopped by here for a quick bite to eat on our way to something else and we were not disappointed. The breakfast sandwiches are really delicious. I ordered the sausage, egg and cheese. I believe she ordered the bacon, egg and cheese. Both are solid options and you won't be disappointed with either. The coffee was also delicious. I get my coffee black so I can always tell when the coffee itself is good versus if it isn't or it's burnt. They also gave us a little stroopwaffel here with our drinks. It's a nice little extra that we weren't expecting. Not sure if they do it all the time but it was appreciated. The staff are super friendly and patient here. They took time to answer questions and help us since it was our first time. The ambiance is open and casual. There's plenty of seating inside and it's bright inside. It's in a shared parking lot with other businesses so there's ample parking available.

Cute little coffee shop with great service, good tea (I'm not much of a coffeee drinker), and great food!!! I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich I got, the tea wasn't what I expected but it was still good. The staff do a good job of keeping the cafe clean and they super friendly!!! I have no complaints and I would go back if I'm in the area. It's not a big spot so it's not great for large groups.

    Iced Vanilla Latte

Wow, a cafe w a drive thru available, what a cool spot! Being used to their amazing coffee from their fairfax location, we decided to try out their Vienna location as well! Staff were lovely, patient, and the service was quick! We got iced vanilla oat lattes, mango smoothie, and croissant. All were delicious and the it was perfect since their smoothies are water-based! Definitely coming back! 4.7/5

Very good coffee shop that fulfills that itch of wanting to get caffeinated in the afternoon. The space is very spacious with numerous amounts of tables inside and outside to sit down at. There's even a section where they have a fireplace as well if you wanted to lounge too. The place is decorated and it's cute too. For my coffee, I got their Seasonal Lavender Vanilla Latte with Whole Milk. It was very good and it was not very strong but not too bitter either. Perfect temperature and they even brought it out to the table I sat down too. The almond croissant was amazing too, I was even asked if I'd like it warm and also they brought it out to me. Very delicious bites with bits of almond nuts and a bit of cream filling too. I enjoyed it very much. It is a bit out of the way going to the Vienna location but I will definitely have to check out their Fairfax Location!

They offer a prix-fixe menu that changes seasonally (?) for brunch and dinner. The ingredients here are high-quality and well prepared and cared for before serving. I've heard great things about Maple Ave from a friends, so I took my family here for dinner this past Wednesday. We really enjoyed the creativity of how the dishes were crafted and plated here and the execution was also phenomenal. This time around, it was 59.00 per person for a 4-course prix-fixe dinner (two appetizers, one entree, and one dessert). Since there were only a couple options per section, we were able to try all the options they had. FIRST: APPLE HAZELNUT SOUP Creamy, pale colored soup with a thicker consistency similar to butternut squash soup. It was lightly sweet, yet savory at the same time. There were some pickled apples and toasted hazelnuts delicately sprinkled on top that added a bit of a crunch. The soup was unique and we enjoyed it. FIRST: ROOTCAKE Between the rootcake and the apple hazelnut soup, the rootcake was my favorite. The vegetables were caramelized and made into a patty, topped generously with almonds with some umami aïoli and pimenton sauce. The rootcake was so good. Each bite was hearty and rich, and it's such a unique way to prepare vegetables. The sauce enhanced each bite and the almonds provided a nutty texture. I would recommend the rootcake as your first option. SECOND: CRISPY SQUASH NUGGETS I didn't think I would enjoy the crispy squash nuggets as much as I did. The roasted squash is breaded with panko crumbs, sitting in some dill yogurt sauce and topped with some raisins and radish. The squash were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a soft interior that left my taste buds wanting more. The dill yogurt sauce was a good complement. I'd definitely recommend this option if you're not a fan of mushrooms and/or you want something more crispy. SECOND: WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO One of the best mushroom risottos I've ever had. It's rich and creamy, filled with truffle flavor. The shiitake mushrooms had a dry, crispy texture. The manchego shavings on top were a great plus. The squash was used for coloring and probably some flavoring? Not sure. The whole thing was really good and memorable. I'd definitely recommend! THIRD: SHRIMP I'm not a huge fan of shrimp, but my family loved it along with the citrus braised fennel. I was a fan of the creamy semolina, though! Overall, it wasn't for me, but that's more of a personal preference. THIRD: PORK CONFIT STEAK The pork they used was pork belly (?) and seared very nicely, topped with perfectly crispy potatoes, mangoes (?), brown butter sweet potato puree and chimi churri sauce. The pork belly melted in my mouth but as someone who's not the biggest fan of fatty pork, I wish it was a leaner cut. The potatoes were so good and went well with the sweet potato puree. Even though I didn't love the pork confit steak, I'd recommend this entree over the shrimp. FOURTH: MOCK FRIED "APPLE" PIE It was zucchini instead of apple and you can't even tell. I loved the crispy pie exterior which was lightly topped with cinnamon. The vanilla bean ice cream was my favorite as it was creamy and smooth. The dulce de leche and lavender honey were nice touches. Very nice way to end the meal. All the food here were so rich with lots of complex flavors. Each dish was so beautifully plated with many vibrant colors. We were quite full after all the food we ate. I would recommend coming here with another person to try all the options they offer here! The food here is unique and well-executed, and I'd be open to come back to try a different seasonal menu.

We ordered the Poulet Gruyere ($12.10) without the cracked pepper...and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. They cut it it in half, exactly as I requested. This crepe was generously packed with chicken/mushroom/peppers/cheese consisting of intense flavors. While I appreciate the generous amount of filling in the crepe, the ratio of crepe to filling was a little off. The filling probably would have been easier to eat in a wrap form. Nonetheless, it was still very flavorful and I highly recommend it. They have an extensive menu including sweet/savory crepes, all-day breakfast, waffles, various beverages. There is definitely something for everyone. The cafe has plenty of seating (inside & outside), but I would assume it may be a little crowded if/when they get busy. The employees were very friendly and accommodating in that they gave us an extra cup with ice and split and plated the crepe. I thought it was cool they sell the crepe mix separately. There are plenty of outlets for anyone who needs to charge their devices. One thing to note, the cafe is located in a very tight and potentially busy strip mall. While there is enough parking, it can be limited in the evening (from past experience. Would I return? Possibly, if I'm in the area.

I ended up biking and there's a bike stand really close by. My friend was craving fish and chips, so we ventured out this way. Because we came on a Thursday they had a deal going where if you ordered a pie, you could get a beer for free. Of course I had to partake, so I ordered the special pie, which was a masala, chicken, curry pie, and it was quite good. A bit small for the price point but with the beer included totally worth it also because their fries are so good. I could demolish over a pound of those fries. They were thick potato and maybe the extra added bonus of having to use a glass ketchup bottle added to it. My friend and I were also taught how to properly hit the ketchup bottle to get the ketchup out by the bartender. You find the 57 on the bottle at an angle and bump you palm there that instead of hitting the bottom and hoping and praying that ketchup comes out. It actually worked or at least it was more efficient than trying to hit the bottom of the bottle upside down. I had never had a hand pumped beer before, but it was quite good. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference.
