Almost perfect experience, the coffee was good, will try the pastries next time around. The place looks great, to catch up or to get some work done, there's parking on the street and they validate garage parking too for an hour.

Stopped in with family for breakfast while in town to attend a wedding. The space is wide open. Big and bright with lots of seating. They need to work on how they manage their overflow guests who are waiting for orders (take out) to be completed. The pastry and breads selection was out of this world. Their signature coffees, lattes, and espresso drinks were delicious. I got a breakfast plate which came with sliced avocado and greens as well as bacon/eggs. Portion was plentiful and greens were fresh. Would highly recommend!

Really craving a warm tea latte or chai and a pastry this morning. When looking at different places, I saw that this place had some really nice looking croissants and some interesting drink menu items. So of course I already pretty much decided what I wanted before I walked in. I ended up getting the Matcha croissant along with the lavender tea latte. Both really good. The Matcha croissant wasn't too sweet or bitter. It was nice and creamy and super flaky. Definitely felt fresh and made in house, probably the same day. You could really taste the lavender in the tea. And when I finished, the tea was actually like a bluish color. Which totally surprise me! Nice little spot if you're craving a great croissant and a nice drink to warm you up in the morning.

Beesting Latte is a little sweet with a strong coffee and is a solid latte. Also, the mushroom pastry is flakey and quite decadent and oily from the truffle oil. The matcha is ok but nothing special--really strong on the oat milk. Super pretty inside with a separate bakery section and coffee section. Parking is quite inconvenient if you don't live within walking distance of here. They're pretty strict with parking tickets as it is near the Capital One HQ.

The best thing about Sunday Morning is the space itself. It's big, bright, and has plenty of seating to work, study, or catch up with friends. The food, however, was underwhelming. I ordered the strawberry latte and a slice of the lemon pound cake, both of which weren't great. The strawberry flavor of the latte was tart, but not sweet, so it left an odd aftertaste. The lemon cake was dense and dry, a bit difficult to eat.

Did was great and our barista was amazing! We had a team meeting there with four and could easily talk while enjoying g breakfast. Small but thoughtful menu.

Tried this hidden gem after loving their original spot in Pike & Rose, Rockville, and it's a great addition to the Tysons area. The coffee is solid, and the smoked salmon croissant was surprisingly good, especially for the price. My friend ordered the tuna sandwich and really enjoyed it as well. My only downside is the parking. It's a bit of a walk from the garage and I do wish they offered some outdoor seating.

First time visiting Sunday Morning Bakehouse. Beautiful space! I loveddddd the strawberry matcha but my husband's coffee wasn't as good! I will definitely visit again.

Really good experience. The honey latte was very nice! Great selection of baked goods. I liked the ham n cheese croissant. My husband did not love the brioche breakfast sandwich- said it was just ok. Would come back to try some new items. Lots of people getting the donuts.. maybe that's the specialty. The staff was friendly and efficient. The seating area was clean and cute!

TL;DR: cute cafe space with yummy pastries Stopped by here on a Tuesday afternoon, and it was nice and quiet while having several full tables. It ended up filling up quickly around 4:30PM. They have an extensive menu or drinks, breakfast/lunch food, and a case full of baked goods. FOOD/DRINK: ~Gingerbread latte (3/5): was a solid latte but I didn't taste much gingerbread flavor. The little gingerbread person cookie then gave with it was a nice treat though ~Mushroom Tart (4.5/5): the pastry is so flaky and flavorful. Lamination was on point. The mushroom filling was earthy and flavorful. ~Hazelnut Croissant (3.9/5): Highly recommend eating it there. Took it togo, and the flakiness fell apart. Or put it in the air fryer/convection for a few minutes to crisp is back up. Filling has good Nutella flavor ~Sea salt chocolate chunk cookie (4.5/5): didn't take a picture, but if you like thinner and chewier cookies, this thing was exactly that. If you don't like that type of cookie, then this isn't for you. That little punch of sea salt you get adds a nice punch at the end. Overall, I would definitely come back for a meal and/or coffee date.

Modern coffee shop with a bunch of pastry, food, and drink options I came here for breakfast with my fiance and we each got a latte, I got a donut and a BEC, and she got a yogurt parfait. The food all looked great, but had underwhelming taste and was fairly bland. Also, although I really enjoyed one of their specialty lattes that I had, she was unimpressed by her vanilla latte. As I mentioned, the space is pretty modern, but it also feels somewhat bare and seating is not the most comfortable

Great bakery/cafe walking distance from the airbnb I was staying at! Came both days over the weekend for breakfast --hojicha latte: creamy and rich --croissants/danishes: flaky! --avocado toast: great breakfast option --tahini cookie: just okay Would be dangerous if I lived in this neighborhood!

This cafe has delicious, high quality pastries. There are beautiful high ceilings, plenty of indoor seating, and shared tables for co-working. Parking on the street and in the colonial garage next door. Coffee had a lovely flavor profile and was well made. The pastries all looked delicious; we enjoyed the crème brûlée donut, which was filled with the perfect cream.

While I was on travel my colleague purchased a cake from L'Atelier and today we served it at an event. The cake itself was custom decorated including printed logos (this was a corporate event after all). I assume the printing was done on fondant, but I'm not positive. Fondant can be controversial, and if it was fondant it was definitely not an egregious amount. The presentation was exquisite; on it's own serving platter protected by a crystal clear plastic square box - NOT a clamshell - that was then secured with an elegant ribbon. It was presented almost as one would a piece of jewelry. It was accompanied with a lovely fold-out sharing some inspirational background of Founder and Chef Marie Axelle. Exceptional presentation. Now, the cake itself ? PHENOMENAL. I have enjoyed my fair share of cake in my life - this is immediately evident upon meeting me in person. In fact, my own mother used to make custom cakes when I was younger, and I have constant access to extremely high quality cuisine including yes more deserts than I really should consume. Presentation is one thing, but if the food doesn't back it up then it's just pretense and not real quality. This cake 100% backed up the presentation ! It was surprisingly moist, making me wonder if perhaps pudding was mixed in, and the icing was just perfectly sweet enough - not overly sweet. We had a large group of people enjoying this cake, with many comments on how good the cake was, and grown adults taking slices home. That's when you know it's good :) My hat is off to Ms. Axelle, and the fine cake she presented that made an important day even more special. Thank you L'Atelier for your support, and proud to support you. Sadly because this was as private event I can't include pictures ... you'll just have to order your own !

Since we were back in the area for a DMV for a brief visit we knew exactly where we were stopping before heading to the airport. Hubs ordered his usual sausage, egg and cheese sandwich , and I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich along with an iced mocha. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference. My sandwich disappeared one bite at a time, and Hubs completely demolished his croissant sandwich without hesitation. That's usually all the confirmation I need. Some restaurants are good. Some are memorable, but there are the places that become part of your routine whenever you're back in town. Best Buns has earned that status for us. Five stars earned! Consistently fresh.
