Delicious coffee and pastries! I had the Karak coffee, it was on point and Pistachio Croissant had a sweet, creamy pistachio filling. Nice ambiance and plenty of seating.

I got the Biscoff croffle and I also got a Mexican latte and both were so good. I felt like I ate the Craffle so fast because it was so good. I felt like these kind of desserts you only get in Europe, so it was very nice to see that these existed near my house. It was a very cute coffee shop and it was really quiet and there's so much seating in there. I've been here a few times now to meet friends and it's a really nice place to come even to study because it's so quiet. The service is also very good. They always have something free whether that be samples or dates during Ramadan

First of all, I absolutely love the aesthetic in the cafe, it feels very chill and a good place to catch up with friends. There is plenty of seating available too! We ordered on the kiosk, and got our drinks probably after 5 minutes. I loved how the drink came in a soda can, I thought that was really cute. I got the Lotus Frappe and I thought it was pretty good. It was the perfect amount of creaminess, yet I could taste the coffee and the Biscoff sauce inside was yummy. Would definitely visit again if I am in the area!

I've enjoyed all my visits to this Shagf location. The ambiance is a comfortable setting with Earth tones and green plants. The coffee and food is delicious. Shagf Cafe, like its location in Falls Church, specializes in unique, North African and Dubai-inspired flavors. Without customizations or extra shots, the coffee isn't necessarily caffeine-driven, but still delicious. My favorite is the Lotus Latte. The African Pudding is absolutely delicious and served warm. The customer service has always been OK. This location, being newer than the location in Falls Church, has a self-service kiosk for ordering, conspicuous WiFi information, and ample seating. The parking situation is not ideal as the street parking is limited and too competitive, serving multiple businesses on this street. There is parking around the corner, which I have yet to locate, however, it is in the vicinity. NOTE: the adjacent apartment building has conspicuous signage warning against retail parking. The enforcement seems to be pretty serious as there is signage on the Shagf storefront reiterating this. I've encountered a resident who also echoed this warning. Overall, a good experience.

Come prepared with a sweet tooth, because you're about to consume a lot of sugar! I got the African pudding based on recommendations I saw online and I wasn't sure how sweet it was going to be so I ended up getting karak tea to mitigate some of the sweetness. It paid off because the dessert comes with ice cream and if I had gotten one of the sweet lattes it would have been way too sweet for me. My husband got the shaghf tart and a pistachio latte and they were both individually good, but the tart had a level of sweetness that I couldn't handle. He has a big sweet tooth and enjoyed it. They also have a fruit tart that is not in the display box, I might try that next time and probably pair it with a less sweet drink again. You order up front and they call your name, it was just one person working so things took a while, but it wasn't his fault. The inside decorations were similar to an upscale hotel vibe with Arabic music playing in the background and I really liked it. The seats were also comfortable which was nice.

Coffee was delightful, I was here for a while studying because they have a lot of seating and outlets available to study at. Cotton candy energy was a redbull with flavoring btw. They were so kind and gave us a free croissant!!!

This place is really so nice! Amazing drinks, delicious snacks and a wonderful ambiance! The service is also incredibly friendly. My only constructive feedback is that the internet is a bit too slow for this to be a remote work spot, but otherwise it's amazing!

Ambiance was nice! Unfortunately I think we came on an off day because their heat was broken, they tried their best and brought out space heaters. The decor was elevated and had beautiful arches and gold accents. We tried the date latte and pistachio latte - both very good but both over priced as well. $9 for a latte not including tax or tip. Tiramisu was kind of dry. I hope to go back and try a different pastry.

    Shaghf tart

The Shaghf tart was divine! It was like a warm pecan pie with melted cookie butter on top. It was perfectly sweet and the crumbly texture was great! I also got the white matcha crack, which is supposed to mimic the viral crackle coffee, but mine sadly did not crackle like it's supposed to. I wish the chocolate wasn't hardened at the bottom, but the matcha tasted great and I could tell the ingredients are high-quality. The pistachio latte tasted good, but I didn't care for the large pistachio chunks. Street parking right outside the cafe is hard to find, unless you park at a garage a bit further away. Not a huge issue, but something to keep in mind. The interior was elegant and posh and the service was pretty quick. The prices are a bit steep, but I would come back for the tart and enjoyed my time here!

Intro: So I been on a cafe trend where I have been trying all the middle eastern cafe and this one has been on the list, happy to say it was great! Decor: this the probably the strongest part of this place, it's so warm and comfortable yet trendy. I would come here just to chill and vibe. Food Breakdown: So it's drinks and dessert. Sadly I got here at closing so I didn't get a drink otherwise I would be up for hours Lmaoo. But I got the brownie bites and mannnnn it was so good. Don't get me wrong it's veryyyyy sweet and I am glad I shared it with someone but totally worth the price and would get it again. Portion Size: really happy with this size and price. Especially since after eating it I felt very content. However I do wish they made it little less sweet. Service: nothing bad to say as I ordered on the tablet and they just called my name 5 min later to tell me it's ready. But text notifications system they have is really nice plus. Price: These cafe at typically all priced similarly so I think it's fine. Would I go Back: For sure, I am really excited to try the drinks and love the containers they come in.

The only 2 hot drinks without caffeine: pistachio latte and hot chocolate. Pistachio latte: taste like thick pistachio milk. It does taste authentic and nutty, not like the fake flavored type. Comes out very hot and I did not get the extra hot option. I would get this again although it is pricy. Tiramisu latte: very pretty but very sweet.

Really cool new coffee shop! We came to the grand opening of the Fairfax/Merrifield location of Shaghf cafe because they were giving out free Dubai chocolate to the first 200 customers and was impressed by the food and drink that we got. The grand opening was very hectic, but the employees did a good job of keeping the lines moving as fast as they could. Inside of the shop, there were two kiosks and one cashier that customers could order from. Inside of the shop, there was a good amount of seating. On a different day where there aren't so many people, this would a be a good place to get some work done or hang out with friends! The menu has a large variety of unique drinks and desserts. We got the ocean blue drink and carrot cake. The ocean blue was pretty tasty and had a refreshing lime and mint flavor. The carrot cake was not too sweet and very light and fluffy. We did have to wait quite a while for our order, but I think part of it was because it was very crowded due to then grand opening. Hopefully the service will be better on a non-grand opening day. The employees were nice and helped me get find my order when I asked. I would definitely come back to this shop!

Newly opened Cafe in Dunn Loring (with another location in falls church but different owner). There are two self-serve kiosks to order from - drink descriptors are not overly helpful and you cannot customize (i.e. sweetness level). There was one order ahead of us but it took almost 15 minutes to receive our order of two drinks. The drinks were just ok - tasted like normal coffee shop drinks, nothing special. My Habibi latte had no spices whatsoever, which was expected to have. The date latte was too syrupy sweet. This is a perfectly fine coffee shop if regular coffee is what you are seeking. Haraz in Fairfax has a more authentic taste. There's plenty of free parking in the close by retail garages.

The flavors rotate seasonally with different combo twist flavors and there's now a Mini 6 oz option as well as the 9 oz classic option with unlimited toppings! There are interesting seasonal flavors that are fun to try: - Honey Dew & Guava Cheesecake Twist - The summer flavor and sweetness of the honey dew complemented the exotic guava cheesecake flavor. - Peach Honey Goat Cheese - My favorite summer! The unique flavor is complex with a bit sweetness and a touch of savory. You can taste all of the ingredients. - Sakura: The pink cherry spring flavor wasn't that sweet and a bit tangy. - Kyoto Taro Cheesecake: A great combo of Taro and Matcha Cheesecake twist that's not too sweet and flavorful Ube Cheesecake flavor - A bit bland with a subtle cheesecake flavor. - Watermelon Basil - Fun flavor to try and tastes like a sour watermelon jollyrancher. It pairs well with the Peach Honey Goat Cheese flavor. - Black Sesame - Grey, savory flavor with a hint of bitterness. - Cookies and Cream flavor is a bit bland. - Classic Ube & Pandan Twist: I always resort back to my favorite default sweet and coconutty flavor. The Taikayi waffle cones are delicious. As the stuffed Taikyai is quite decadent, getting it hollow without any filling is the best way to go with the ice cream. Any type of filling with the ice cream becomes overload of sweetness. The Wicked Pandan Float (from the glass cooler) was delicious with layers of green coconut Pandan cheesecake custard pudding on a bed of Oreo Crumbs drizzled with salted caramel dulche leche. All of the flavors pair well together. I wasn't a fan of the Ube Dulce Leche or the Ube Oreo Floater. The Ube custard was a bit bland and didn't like the jelly topping. Skip the floats in the cooler and head straight to order the ice cream! Sign-up with the app and you can score deals and discounts via text and get notified of new flavors and when some flavors retire. My kids and I enjoyed love coming here and sharing a fun sundae! We came here a dozen times during the summer. There's both indoor and outdoor seating.

Talk to the people that work there for orders to make sure the one you want isn't running out and to ask if it's being made fresh. The workers don't ask you anything just make the food when they finally do get around to making it. The food is good but expensive for what it is, the service is a 1/100 if that is possible. Food is 6/10 could be better, honestly go to an asian market and buy ice cream there it taste better and is cheaper. Plus you don't have to feel insulted waiting nearly an hour for an order when you're the only one in the restaurant and ordered via Kiosk. The kiosk is there for convenience to disregard customer to worker interaction making it easy to just gloss over orders until they feel a type of urgency when the restaurant floods with people. ONLY THEN will you get your order faster. Upon finding out they were talking to a manager in the back disappointed me more because a good manager would say look we have an order ticket handle this first then we can continue talking but I had to wait for their conversation to end before they even began working on my order. Do i recommend this place If you order via kiosk and don't mind waiting half an hour go for it If you like mediocre mid overhyped food go for it If you value your time and money go to an asian grocery store and buy their ice cream.

Oh, and shout out to the owner's dad, who is in his 90s and makes the bread, a rich sourdough, served warm, that has a 50 year old starter at its essence. Yum. They're best known for their bingsoo, or Korean shaved ice, which is perfectly fluffy and delightful, with a sweet, milky flavor that acts as a great canvas for all their toppings. You can't go wrong with of their bingsoo options, but they do run a little bit large and are meant for 2-3 people to share. If you're in the mood for something smaller, they do have a delightful selection of other desserts, chief among which is their rice paper waffle. This glorious confection is a super light, crispy waffle made entirely out of rice paper (which, as a side bonus, also means it's gluten-free). It's slightly chewy on the inside but generally incredibly crunchy and airy. It comes topped with a lovely rice-based syrup that tastes a bit savory -- almost malty -- and black sesame. You can also just get a scoop of their rich, creamy ice cream (instead of the shaved ice that it normally comes on top of), and it will be topped with a generous helping of red bean paste, injeolmi powder, sliced almonds, and corn flakes. The combination of flavors and textures levels up this humble little scoop to a full-scale dessert with sweet, savory, and nutty notes. Aside from their sweet treats, Soricha also has a bunch of fun drinks. They have a long menu of expertly brewed artisan teas, or you can also cool down with one of their refreshing fruit mixes. The omija berry refresher is particularly lovely, with a great balance of tart and sweet flavors that make it the perfect summertime drink. Beyond the food, the service is also super friendly and quick, and the cafe is gorgeously decorated with chill, relaxing ambient music. It's a delightful place to hang out with a friend to chat, finish some work, or do a bit of reading. I will note, however, that it is quite expensive -- the bingsoo is about $20, and the teas are a minimum of $7. It's so worth it every time, but it's definitely more of an occasional treat than an everyday indulgence.

Stopped in for breakfast on our way to a hike and loved this place. Super cute atmosphere with lots…read moreof seating, and everyone working there was really nice. I ordered an almond milk latte and the avocado toast without feta. The avocado toast was SO good, the avocado tasted really fresh and they used the perfect amount of balsamic vinegar. Also loved that they had packets of hot sauce available. My son got a bagel with cream cheese and my partner got a bagel with butter and jam plus a chai latte. Only note is that the bagel came with a ton of cream cheese, so if you don't like it piled on, I'd recommend asking for light cream cheese. Overall we really loved it and would definitely come back when we're in the area again!

This place is a lovely spot! My friend and I first stumbled upon it while trying to find a cafe to…read moresit and catch up, and I loved it so much I dragged my husband back at a later date. The decor makes you think of what you'd find at an eccentric great aunt's home, but in a positive way. Each area has its own mini aesthetic that contributes to the entire place; in the back are color themed books that give it a more serious look, while upstairs is more whimsical in it's random assortment of chairs and couches. The food is in appealing display cases downstairs. The stand out pastries for me are the tiramisu filled cronuts. Drinks wise, they have the typical cafe fare but excitingly so they also have Colombe on draft which I will always be excited about. I recommend this place to grab a snack and socialize!
