A lot of florists would take advantage of that and charge you way more than what they need to. Not Lindsay! She talked me through everything and I basically just picked colors, and she ran with it. My bouquet was huge and stunning, I received so many compliments on all the floral decor. What makes her the best, though, is that she is there to answer any questions throughout the process. At the point I hired her, she had done just a few weddings, but from her professionalism and sunny demeanor, it was obvious she was meant for this. She provided great insight and advice throughout the process, and I appreciate her work for my new husband and I. Her biggest value truly came the wedding day, though. She kept everything running smoothly, finalized venue setup while we were all in hair/makeup, and headed up the team effort to put out a rather large fire just before the ceremony, and kept the flames at bay during the reception. Right away we knew she was the right fit for us. She took the time to get to know us before we contracted, so both sides knew what they were getting into. We picked the Full Planning Package, and that allowed us to occasionally get distracted by buying a house and major job changes without worrying that we were losing track of our wedding checklist and timetable. We met frequently and every time I came away feeling more and more prepared for the day. She brought things up I wouldn't have even considered, she helped give advice but never pushed. We met Jamie at our venue's vendor expo and were immediately impressed by their services, pricing, and vast food offerings. It was a no brainer to book with their group! We had our tasting a couple months before our wedding day; which is complimentary to the couple and a $50 charge for any additional guest to join. They have you select 8-10 appetizers, 2 salads, and 4 entrees to taste at their Naperville location. They also have displays of china, silverware, glasses and more to help couples select what aligns aesthetically for their special day. Jamie worked with us to make small modifications to their standard offerings to make the food exactly what we wanted! Our wedding day came and we were floored by the quality/presentation of food, level of detail in place settings, and service from all staff members. We had multiple guests say that this was some of the best wedding food they've had, steaks were not over cooked, and food tasted fresh. Jamie also let us add desserts a week out to reallocate money from a couple of guests who last minute were unable to attend. Their team was even nice enough to service items not purchased through their group: disposables for the late night snack, display and refilling of cupcakes, etc. Overall, their group went above and beyond for us under Jamie's leadership. Our tables looked great, our food was wonderful, and their team was fabulous. We truly appreciate all they've done for us and could not recommend them more! Our experience was incredibly disappointing due to the way the staff and security handled our…read moreguests. Several of our invited guests were refused entry, and when I offered to pay for the additional attendees on the spot (these guests had not RSVP'd and were not included in the original count), the owners declined the payment and continued to keep people waiting outside--or turned them away entirely. Their explanation was that the venue had reached capacity, but this simply wasn't true. We were informed beforehand that the building's capacity was at least 70 people more than the number in attendance. Even with payment in hand, the staff acted as though the situation was beyond their control, which came across as both unprofessional and unreasonable.... it was strange. After investing over 20K into this event, it was humiliating to have to PLEAD for our guests to be allowed in. The entire situation completely ruined the night. If you're considering booking this venue, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a location that is more accommodating, and capable of handling unexpected situations with professionalism and respect. To top it off....When we left that night, we were told everything was settled and that our balance was fully paid. However, when I followed up a week later to request the return of our $500 deposit, I was suddenly told that we still had an outstanding balance. The inconsistency and lack of transparency were extremely frustrating -- trust me, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
