This place is also called Cha Da Thai. Decided to get a takeout here as we enjoy trying new Thai food. Ordered for 6 people. The dishes were hit and miss. I had the salad roll with avocado which was very good. I also had the green curry and asked for spicier than "Thai hot." It was spicy but not too much (would like it spicier.) Tofu was of medium firmness so was falling apart in the dish (not good, too mushy). It was way too oily as well. I also asked for no eggplant and got eggplant (mistakes happen, not a big deal). My kids had egg rolls (only 4 per order for $8) and they enjoyed those. They also had the pineapple fried rice- way too oily. We also ordered pad Thai, again way too oily and they charged extra $2 to add one egg. Food is not enjoyable if it swims in oil. A bit disappointed and will not return. read more

I am giving them 4 stars only because there should be MORE avocado in their spring rolls. I ordered take-out today (Monday, August 8, 2022) and waited 15 minutes for my food to be freshly prepared. I was starving, so I decided to eat 1 spring roll in my car. It was fresh but I could not taste the avocado as there is so much filler of lettuce and carrot, the avocado taste and texture gets lost. Since their spring rolls aren't cheap, ($8.95 for 2 rolls) and I typically order Thai take-out from Thai Coconut (who are closed on Mondays) I was expecting the same amount of delicious avocado that Thai Coconut uses, since they both charge the same price for their spring rolls! Based on the avocado situation ... I won't be rushing back. However, I do have a suggestion for Simply Thai, since I realize avocado prices are on the rise, simply CHARGE MORE for your spring rolls ... but please add more avocado! The chicken satay was perfectly cooked and very tasty, as was the accompanying sauce. All in all a perfect lunch. It used to be our go to neighborhood Thai restaurant but the quality has gone down the drain the last two times we ordered from them. My wife ordered a pad see ew and it was lack flavor. Both of our Thai Tea tasted like sugar water with milk. There was not even a slight hint of tea in them. I Don't know where to begin regarding my utter disappointment with this experience attempting to have lunch. My coworkers and I often order from this restaurant And the food and service has always been amazing. Today I am shaking my head at the experience we had today. It is truly mind boggling to me that when a customer calls and complains about not getting the order correct when they drove all the way there to pick it up the first time, that you would be certain to make sure that knowing they are driving back for a second time to get the correct item, but you would make sure they were getting that item. Nope not today. Today I received an order of the coconut-based hot and sour soup, without the tofu I had ordered as my protein. It was literally coconut broth with a few vegetables and mushrooms floating around. I have attached photos of the order I placed as well as the food received during the first order pick up and then the second which I thought was going to be the correct thing once I had called and let them know I did not receive what I ordered. The new management seemed very confused when I tried to order the correct item when I called back to let him know that I did not want coconut-based soup broth. I barely clearly read to him the exact wording from his menu of what I did order but did not receive. Again he seemed very confused and said oh I think I know what you want? It has a specific name! Tom Yum!!!! I am trying to be healthy I absolutely did not want coconut based soup broth. I also ordered a side of vegetables to add to my soup. I truly don't think the guy who answered the phone had a clue what was even on his menu. He tried to argue in a way with me about what I was trying to order and I was reading it right off of his menu FFS. I repeated back to the guy on the phone about three times making sure the soup that he was going to make sure I received the second time was in fact what I wanted! Three times!!! My coworker and I drove back a second time to get the what we thought would be correct order, and he reassured us that everything was in there. So here comes my utter disappointment and loss of words for this place going forward. We got back to the break room opened up my bag and sure enough it was the wrong soup again! I didn't want the broth with noodles and no mushrooms, I have attached a photo of their menu there are only three soups how do you screw it up? So I called back again to let the guy know how frustrated I was that again I was served the wrong thing after driving back a second time. At no point did he ever offer to comp any part of my meal and we spent almost $40. He even try to dispute again that I did receive what I was describing to him when I called but I informed him no I'm not I'm reading it right off the menu again right now. So disappointed and the soup I received was truly disgusting. Not going back. As a manager if you know someone's coming back because he screwed up their order and they are wasting their time, you need to actually go out of your way and make sure it's correct! First of all, he tried to argue with me that the soup I received was in fact broth and you can see in the photo it very much is not broth. The second Soup next to it is the replacement soup that was also the wrong thing and you can see all the gross wormy glass noodles floating around inside. Shaking my head. read more

I can only attest to their menu, as I've only received via door dash. But my favorite item on their menu, hands down, is the grapao! I think they call it basil chicken at other places. Anyway, I get it thai extra hot and it is amazing! Their steak salad is also very good! I've tried their pok pok, which is an unusual noodle soup I tried on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. We were so hungry that and food was so good that we forgot to take pictures. At first, we were surprised that the ownership changed from previous Thai restaurant. The menu was largely the same including authentic Thai dishes such as Boat Noodles and Pok Pok Noodles (Tom Yum Noodle). We ordered Boat Noodle # 2 and #6, Jungle Curry and the kids Simply Chicken. Wow!! The food was spot on in terms of flavor and presentation. The Boat Noodle #6 was the authentic kind and those familiar with this will recognize it right away. The Jungle Curry was excellent and had great taste with the peppercorns. Even my youngest daughter loved her kid's meal of seasoned chicken and sticky rice... a nice "mmmm" after her first bite. We had spice level #4 and that was plenty hot which I compare to other places at Thai Hot. If you can stand the heat, I'm sure #5 will not disappoint. Anyone that loves authentic Thai food needs to try this restaurant and support a new business. read more

Food about 2 stars. Servers 5 stars. Both servers were definitely getting their butts kicked during the lunch rush. But they tried to make up for it with kindness. Where my issue comes in, is with the "manager". Our food took 40 minutes to be made. About 25-30 minutes in, I asked about the status of our to go food. I was told 10-15 more minutes. We decided to cancel our order and just asked for a refund. The server let me know the manager would be over to refund me. Manager comes out five minutes after and let's me know he won't be refunding me because my foods already been made. At that point my coworker and I are wondering why we've been waiting that long if our food is ready. I said ok well we have to get back to work. He then changes his story and says some of the items are made. I wasn't going to argue. He suggested taking the items that were already prepared. I agreed and asked for a refund for the "unmade items". He walks back to the kitchen and minutes later brings back the "finished" order.... Never gives me back my customer copy receipt but rather shoulders me off. I thought managers were there to rectify customer dissatisfaction. Apparently there's feeds into it. I'm now back at work with an incorrect order that I guess I'll eat whatever they gave me so I can have nourishment. My potstickers are completely over cooked. Super disappointed and WILL NOT be back. Attracted by the menu page full of boat noodle dishes, my wife and I ate here last night. This is now one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Phoenix area, because my wife liked the boat soup, and I liked the chicken spring rolls, steamed dumplings, and flavorful spicy beef salad, made with tender beef. Nue Ga Prow (beef stir fried with peppers, fresh basil, onions, fish sauce etc) was "Thai hot" level and it was perfect. Challenging and delicious. Had it with brown rice (not traditional, but my preference) and some April Naam Pla sauce on the side (Thai chilies in fish sauce). Followed by Mango with sticky rice for dessert.
