It's very quiet on a Sunday at noon and decided to stay anyway because I've been meaning to try them for a while. I started with a cup of Tai wonton soup. It was absolutely delicious and so fresh. Very generous portions of veggies and the wontons were fabulous! For my entree I ordered Pad Se-ew with beef, no spice because I'm a big baby. It was good without I wasn't expecting it to taste sweet so I would have chosen different knowing what I know now. I was hoping for more salty but that's on me! Loved the wide noodles and you definitely taste the egg cooked in. The Thai tea was good but very sweet! Thankfully she was able to adjust this for me :) Very attentive service! Got their food to go because we were craving Thai food and this is one of the only places that's open a little later. We went for level 3 and 4 on spice and were disappointed that we really couldn't taste any spiciness. It was very mild and subtle, maybe like a level 1? Pad see ew tasted okay, it was subtle tasting and they didn't get the sweet and sour sauce quite right for the chicken in my opinion. But portions are overall decent. read more

We ordered our food to go as we do very often from here. Tonight we just had the large wonton soup which was super hot fresh lots of steamy wontons inside and loaded with vegetables that had just the amount of crunch and they were fresh. We also ordered a half roasted chicken Which came with a little dipping sauce.There is a reason they call this a house specialty. The chicken is seasoned throughout on the grill and we love how even though we live only minutes away the food is steaming hot when we sit down to enjoy. Just had lunch here with our family and the catfish dish we ordered had a hair in it. We also ordered the full roasted chicken which was still uncooked and literally cold in the middle. We brought this to the waitress attention and she picked up the dish, pulled out the hair and walked to the register area. A minute later she came back and said she could not see a hair in the dish. Ordered from this place via Door Dash. Apparently they were too busy, and ignored three different door dash drivers that showed up to pick up our order. We got the confirmation of the time it would be ready...but an hour and a half later, still no food. I tried calling and they just ignored the phone. The door dash driver told me the phone was ringing, and they were just ignoring it. Eventually we had to cancel the order. Just terrible. Avoid this place. read more

Amazing food! I'm from LA and usually feel Asian food outside of California and New York cannot compete. Imagine my surprise when we ate here... the flavors are amazing! And the portions are massive! Pineapple fried rice had great flavor with a hint of that elusive "wok aroma". And the portion was massive. Red curry has great coconut flavor, and very generous portions of chicken. Spicy basil with pork also tasted great and the pork was extra tender. And the prices are very reasonable, Especially considering the portions and the nice area it's in. This was an amazing find in our road trip, will add it to my "favorites" list! read more

I was there yesterday evening to celebrate my cousin's birthday. We had eaten at Thai House a couple years, and the food was fresh and good then. But last night what we received on our table did not resemble what was promised on the menu. My mountain of Pad Thai's noodles swam in sweet sauce with a few tired, leathery pieces of chicken and a couple pieces of green onion. This is my second time eating here and both times, I came on a weekend around noon and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Pretty surprising as the food is so good! Their Satay is one of the best I've had. I crave it all the time which is why I wish this restaurant was closer to my home. They give such large portions as well and don't skimp on the good stuff! The service is standard, but the food makes up for it in my opinion. The music is strange though: country music in a Thai restaurant... Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant! Thai food is one of our favorites cuisines We have tried several different thai restaurants in the Phoenix / Scottsdale area. Even though we are willing to travel all over the Valley, we find ourselves returning to the Thai House on Shea for good quality, consistent flavors and generous helpings. The restaurant interior is nothing to write home about but the food is consistently good. The Thai House is our go-to for take out Thai food in the Valley. The pad thai with chicken uses authentic rice noodles with a good sauce and not soupy. The spice profile is spot-on and the flavor is great. Our other favorite is the the massaman curry with chicken. The sauce is rich with coconut milk and not oily. The potatoes are soft, onions and chicken helpings are plentiful. In the past we have tried the spicy chicken basil, which is also noteworthy. If you are searching for perfect take out Thai food, check out the Thai House. They are not fancy but good quality food, reasonable fees and generous quantities. Thai House is consistently good and they give you a boat load of food. We were rushing to get there during the lunch hour because they close at 3:00pm and reopen at 4:30pm for dinner. Many Thai restaurant do this. There were quite a few diners during the late lunch hour. We got there in time and got our standard Spicy Chicken basil except no onions and no spice. Their spice packs a punch. I would rather spice it up myself. The spice level goes from 1-5; 1 being the mildest and 5 is fire alarm hot. I ordered the dinner meal rather than their lunch offering. Their dinners can last us 2-1/2 days especially since I add veggies and tofu to it. The meal took about 10 minutes and was piping hot. The breast of chicken is plentiful and sweet bell peppers accompanied the meal as well as a carton of white rice. Delicious fragrant meal. read more

Still the BEST most authentic Thai restaurant in Arizona, California, Oregon, Nevada, Oregon, Washington State, and New Mexico. I've had takeout and eaten at Thai restaurants all over the West Coast & desert Southwest. Traveled all over Thailand on 20 trips. The Thai House is on par with outdoor market food stalls and restaurants including 5|6 star hotels in Bangkok and NE, South, Golden Triangle, & the islands in Thailand. In Asia, top hotels often have some of the best dishes & top chefs at reasonable prices. Best bets: Pad (paw-d not pad) Thai at least 1 star spicy and Panang Curry Chicken with of course rice. Any soup with coconut milk is fantastic too. Almost all dishes are a solid 5 stars. The food at the Thai House is even better than the real thing anywhere else in Phoenix metro. Don't be fooled by any upscale Thai restaurants elsewhere in Scottsdale, Chandler, Tempe, Mesa, Glendale, Peoria. They're not up to snuff except for maybe one other on the Eastside of Phoenix. Be adventurous and try dishes outside of your comfort zone. Thai is an amalgamation sometimes of Thai, Lao, Cambodian, Chinese, Burmese, Malay, Indonesian, Singaporean recipes all rolled into one. A mixture of cultures, fresh vegetables, "meats" and delicious spices. Thai ice tea is epic too! Every time I come here, I love the food. It's a nicely appointed restaurant in a strip mall, and service is solid. The absolute highlight is the food. Regular dishes are yellow curry, panang curry, pad Thai, chicken satay, spring rolls. All are delicious and each makes you want to shun the others.
