I got the worst pedicure ever here and it was so bad I had to tell the lady to just stop and I wanted to leave! And they still charged me $50. I didn't even get any color. The lady who did my feet was the only one here so I couldn't really get someone better. I literally want to cry looking at this ugly pedicure I got. I will be reaching out again to this salon to try and speak to a manager and hope I can get some type of resolve but otherwise I may have to file a dispute with my bank because this just isn't a service worth paying for. I went in for a pedicure and a nail polish. Literally the next day my nails were badly chipped. When I went back in for a fix, I was told it was my fault and that my nails weren't dry when I left. Obviously this wasn't true, as I was there over 2 hours and my nails were painted prior to starting my pedicure. Also, the pedicure was done in plain, barely lukewarm, water until asked for an additive of some kind. Finally they tossed in a teaspoon of blue sea salt. Really disappointed for $50. read more

I unfortunately cannot recommend or give this place any stars. Came in for a gel mani-pedi on a Sunday. By Tuesday, 2 nails were peeling off and chipped really bad, and another two were also starting to deteriorate at the tip. I went back, and they redid my whole manicure for me. It looked great at first and I thought it would last a full two weeks... Now, after another two days, a huge chunk of one nail chipped, another is cracking, and a couple others are also deteriorating (nail polish is chipping at the tips). I was out of the country while this was happening and couldn't do anything about it. So when I get back, I call them and they argue with me like I did something wrong - which I did by coming here. I have never experienced anything like this before. Now 80% of my nails are cracked, broken, or chipped because of their horrible gel manicure. I have never had a gel manicure last less than 2 weeks. They had the nerve to then refund me $17, when I requested a full refund since they damaged my nails and I will have to get them re-done by someone else. I am beyond pissed off that my nails can't even last five days, let alone a week, forget two weeks. Wish I could get my money back so I can go somewhere for a manicure that will last me two full weeks. I have never had a gel manicure that didn't last for two weeks... I will never come back here. Horrible service! Do NOT RECOMMEND. I called ahead of time to see if they had time for a full set of acrylics and she said yes starting at $35 and up. I showed the nail tech a picture of what I wanted which was just soft pink acrylic powder and clear coat. Nothing hard . She said yes, and proceeds to use a "pink powder " that i told her I did not like at all. She ignored me, and said we can just put polish over it if you do not like the nails. Afterwards they had a violet purple tint to them and they are thick! She said no they are pink. I tell her okay we can just put this pink/nude polish over them and she tells me to pay first. I asked ok how much and she said $70 ?? It was a simple nail and was told 35 and up . I did not ask for design or anything it was simple. Literally she glued on the nail - cut them, shaped and put on acrylic powder that was it. I get my nails done often and for this I pay 45-50 never asked for more. I then asked why do I need to pay first if the nails are not done. She said yes I believe you are going to run off without paying. I repeated what she said to me and she just shook her head yes that I was going to run. I could not believe she said that and I immediately told her nevermind , and I ended the service with horrible nails. I felt so sad and angry with the way I was treated and no one else who was working there offered to fix them. Came home really happy after my appointment here. Everything was great from the moment I stepped into the shop up to the time it's time for me to leave. There were three customers and two nail technicians when I walked in so I assumed that I will be waiting a while even though I called for an appointment. Surprisingly, as soon as I said that I have an appointment, KK nicely told the other customers (whose hands they were already working on) that they would have to wait... I felt like a VIP as I was seated immediately. It is nice to know that there's a nail place in LA where appointment times are honored KK was the one who did my gel mani and pedi. I wanted a matte nude shade going in but I was not entirely sure if I should do it because I know that not everyone can create PERFECT matte nails. As soon as I saw how meticulous he is while cutting and buffing though, I knew he can do it. He asked several times if there's anything he missed. I saw that his clients' satisfaction is his priority because when I pointed out something, he took it really well and thanked me for letting him know. Not something you'll get from other nail salons where nail techs are snobbish and rude... This place closes at 8pm but at 7:56, KK just finished applying the top coat on my toes. I was half expecting him to tell me that they need me to leave even if the polish is still wet, buy he didn't. Instead, he said I can stay until I think it's dry. I was like, "Wow! I've been coming to Rose, Andy, Van for years now. As you know we've been locked down for a year so my toes were screaming for a pedicure. It was to the point where my nails were turning into pincher nails (super painful). I was just about to go see a podiatrist and my nurse Cousin said to me "Just go and get a pedicure". I come here at least once every two weeks and they know me by name, which is wonderful. The reviews on here calling it "dirty" must be the kind of women who can afford to drop a hundred bucks at the fancier, upscale nail places. My opinion? Why would you ever pay $20 for a manicure that you can get here for $10? In fact, the prices here are the best I've been able to find in the Hollywood/West Hollywood area and the service is wonderful. Van is my go to for eyebrows, acrylics, and amazing nail designs (see photos), however I've used everyone that works here at some point and they've all done a great job. Even celebrities come here! A few months ago, I spotted Donna from Parks and Recreation getting her nails done by Van. I'm a fan of the show and I'm a fan of this nail salon. She does an amazing full set, gel manicure, & has this new product called SNS. I have always done a gel manicure w. Van which would last me 2 weeks w. No chips. Van then introduced me to SNS nails which I have now been doing for almost a year. SNS is honestly the best technique in the nail world. It is a powder base & is WAY healthier than gel. Now I get my nails done every 2 weeks religiously, but it is meant to last 3 weeks. Everyone that works there is so friendly & welcome you in right away. Pros: - Very friendly service - Technician asked me how thin or thick I would like the white part of my french tip, and did a very nice job. Cons: - Possibly the filthiest nail salon I've ever been in- the entire interior looked both dirty and unkept - Technician did not have clean tools (not autoclaved, and he didn't clean them in front of me) - They didn't have the clear pink tint in gel polish that is usually used for french tip, so they used a solid pale pink. It's not my preference, and the nail technician didn't ask, or let me know ahead of time. I'm very glad I didn't get a nail infection! I was looking for a dusty pink, and ended up settling for a light, barbie pink tone for my hands, and grey for my toes because I just wanted to choose an OPI color that wasn't red. - Paint job was poor. I think it's because the color was almost finished, so came out blotchy. - When I was done, they didn't help me with my shoes or things as I was struggling to carry my stuff to a fan - I had gel when I came in, so they charged me an extra $5 just to take that off. The place is whatever. I did acrylic nails, the first visit they where all even, real smooth, no air bubbles but sharp as knives. the lady didn't bother to file them what so ever. The second time, every single one of them was uneven, and they put so much clear powder that the tips where completely see through with a dash of color. Filed this time...but that was it. They are super pushy and tried to up sale me. I only went in there for my nails but they tried to get me to wax every possible surface of my body and get a pedi as well....Yeah that is how they make their money but after the third "No thank you, I only want my nails today" it just gets annoying after that.
