WARNING! DO NOT COME HERE! They will rush through your service, do a sloppy job, and then argue with you about the price when you literally called ahead of time to get a quote. I called beforehand and specifically asked how much a gel acrylic set with French tips would be. I was told $47 + $10 for French tips. When I went to check out, I was suddenly charged $70. When I questioned the price, they argued that I had supposedly asked for the fill price over the phone -- when I never said "fill" at any point. If there was a misunderstanding, the professional thing would have been to simply acknowledge that neither of us clarified and apologize for the miscommunication. Instead, she continued arguing with me and was extremely rude and nasty about it. And the actual service was just as disappointing. The man doing my nails got product all over my hands to the point where I couldn't even touch my phone without getting product all over it. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME in all the many times I've gotten my nails done. The whole service was rushed and sloppy. Oh, and apparently when you Venmo him for your nails, you're supposed to put a food emoji in the payment description, which is shady in itself. I also mentioned that it was my birthday, and while I certainly don't expect anything for free, it would have been nice to receive even a little bit of customer appreciation -- especially considering how unpleasant the entire experience was. Instead, I left with a sloppy set of nails, an argument over the price, and someone basically laughing in my face while I was trying to civilly and respectfully explain why I was unhappy. I stopped getting my nails done for this exact reason, and this experience was a great reminder of why. I should have just gone to the salon I used to go to, where they actually provide good customer service and even offer customers 10% off for their birthdays. My go-to spot for my gel manicure! Ask for Tracy! She's thorough and she's fast with her work. She never gives me any problems if a nail chips and I need to come back in to fix one nail. The location is really cool as well. It's on the second floor, and you have a view of Hollywood. This is my last time coming here. I've given them way too many chances. This is now the third time I've had to come right back upon realizing they've messed up my nails. You wouldn't think you'd have to inspect that their aren't chips in your polish as SOON as you get them done, but at this salon you do. I had already given up on asking for anything more than a basic design because they're incapable of doing those. On top of that, I've always called to make an appointment and no matter what, the appointment never starts on time and they're always rushing through appointments, which is exactly how mistakes happen. The tech was so lazy- she used a metal drill to file my old gel off all the way down to the nail- multiple times I asked her to stop and physically pulled away because my nails got hot but she didn't care. Instead of wrapping the nails and soaking the remaining gel off she brought over a bowl of hot acetone and told me to stick my hands in it. Nails were crooked and all different lengths. This was my first time coming to this nail salon. They were quick and I was open to coming back but the manager was very rude when I asked her about a hang nail. She said she cut it already but I wanted to make it more secure. I asked to change at least the big toe to gel and she said they don't do that. I was willing to pay extra. I have an important event this week and do not want any snags or have to redo my nail. Instead of hearing me out about what I wanted she got an attitude and said if it breaks that's on me after I asked her if it broke could she fix it. The gentleman who did my hands was nice and quick but would not recommend or come back based on that interaction. I am not your friend. I am a paying customer. I was looking for a new local nail salon on a whim since my usual spot closed down during the pandemic. On a whim, I looked up some nearby locations and decided to try this one since it seemed like the owners were very responsive to any concerns on reviews, and because it was close. We called ahead of time to make sure they weren't too busy for two pedicures and full acrylic sets. They told us we could come right away. Thank goodness we did because after they got slammed with walk-ins and appointments right before close, but did their best to take everyone who wanted their nails done. One thing I would like to note is that nearly half of people who came in were men. Yes ladies and gentleman, your boyfriends and husbands should be taking care of their nails too! I digress. While the outside of the location might not seem like a high end salon (it's upstairs in a strip mall) the service was high end. You'll be sure that find parking in the lot in front as well. The location seemed clean and up to date and there are lots of nail color choices and examples of current trends on mannequin hands. My nail tech was Linh. She was absolutely fabulous and helpful. She speaks great English (I say this only because I've seen occasional complaints from people having a difficult time communicating), is friendly, knowledgeable about current nail trends, and helpful with finding colors for what I wanted to accomplish. At some salons, they will do nails and feet at the same time, and while they didn't do this because of how busy they were (I assume), they worked quickly and efficiently. I was also not charged extra for my matte topcoat which my former salon used to charge me for. My friend got acrylics on for the first time by a gentleman working there and had an equally great experience, smiling after she left talking about how good the nails were and how feminine she felt. Annoyingly, we both dented the paint on a nail and they were fixed no problem. The price was very reasonable, especially for the standard in which my nails were done. I paid $45 for a long full set and $70 in total with pedicure. They accept credit cards AND Venmo which is great. I'm so happy that I've found a great new nail spot! Recommended! read more

I suggest Hong, she's great and been working their for like 20 years! She's solid and I only go to her. The tanning could be better but it's dirt cheap. I think it's $55 for 5 sessions. I went to get my eyebrows waxed and they were not busy so I decided to get a full set. The gentleman rushed through it, didn't listen to my request and my nails look horrible. don't waste your time coming here. My friend I got the worst pedicure. I checked it right after I was done and told the other lady that was doing my friends to clean it up; it wasn't until I got home to see how bad of a job she did. Polish wasn't fully on, nail wasn't polished up from the buffing of the nail. We then called to get a refund for both and I understand that she wanted to redo it for us but honestly I just didn't want them to mess up again. They saved me when I needed it most - broke one acrylic nail in the airport on the way to Burbank. I called and they were able to take me right away. I was in there for 10 minutes and out, paying $7. For these reasons, I'm giving stars. BIG WORRIES: they look like they don't really sanitize anything. The woman that did my nail was so rough with it, didn't wash anything, left some nail primer on my finger that was sticky and I couldn't scrub off all day. It was peeling my skin. I literally just came from here about 20 minutes ago. It is a GREAT place. I've been coming here since at least high school and (no lie) have even seen celebrities like Dita Von Teese here (way to make a gal feel bad. I came to get a full set in my $30 forever 21 yoga outfit and no makeup and here is the queen of sexy about ten feet from me!) Anyways, full sets are $27 pre-tip A bit on the expensive side, but they are worth it. Mine took just over an hour (wait time included) and was done by Vi / Vu (I'm so bad with names). I have horribly bitten down below the quick "nails" and she took great care in applying the tips. She was very gentle, careful, and checked her work often and accurately. Best of all I never once went "ouch" or bled. Most (like...all) other places at least cut the corner of my nail bed , but she didn't. Even when using the file/emery board she went quickly but it was the most far from painful experience ever. They offer those cute bright colored glittered French tips for $45. It was a little bit out of my budget for this time but the red one was absolutely beautiful! I know what I'm getting next time someone treats me to getting my nails done!! They have waxing and tanning (two separate tanning rooms), the pedicure chairs are separate from the manicure chairs and are next to each other ( as opposed to in a line which the manicure chairs are) which probably makes it easier to gossip with your friend. My full set was done without much conversation, but that is what I prefer. There is a private lot with parking. And as a note the bathroom lock is at the TOP of the door, it is signposted well, I just don't pay attention to things. They have OVER 200 polishes including crackle, Opi, and Essie. Walk Ins are welcome, I believe they're open 7 days. read more

I'll explain: - the quality of work is very low - you can literally get hurt - they do not pay attention to the customer requests - if you tell them what you want - they argue with you - prices are inconsistent, looks like they overcharge if you're not paying attention; the price list is not readily available - the place is dirty - no respect for the customer - you can tell them exactly what you want and even show references,but they will still do whatever they feel like. - they double book you or forget to book you at all - might take a break during your appointment or send you to wash your hands and put the next customer in your seat and tell you to just wait around as if it wasn't your turn to begin with and as if they decide how to make your schedule! - they always make you wait They are not professional in any way - very stressful and frustrating experience - oh and tanning prices were raised, they explain it with installing new lamps, but the issue is that it doesn't matter if you tan for 5 or 15 minutes, you'll be charged a max amount regardless! I would even give it a minus 5 stars if it was possible. With all that said, there's several other nail salons walking distance from this slice of hell, so save yourself time, money and nerves and go get a decent manicure elsewhere. Linh is constantly learning and growing in her craft and is always flexible and accommodating. They have so many long time clients because they use good quality products, are friendly, skilled and affordable. This spa was recommended by a dear friend so I happily made the 30 minute commute from Burbank in hopes of a nice and relaxing mani pedi. I had a full set done and had asked for a half moon design. They came out semi ok but far from what I expected especially for $60 + $5 tip. I left with gel paint all over my hands, crooked designs and pieces of dirt and dust dried into the gel which is a huge bummer since I leave for vacation in a few days and don't have time to get them fixed. I also had a diamond pedicure ($28 +$5 tip). Not only were my toes not fully painted, I also didn't get a top coat because the technician was in such a rush. It's only been a few hours and my toes look awful. I was really excited to go here and try a new place and although I'll give two stars since the staff were sweet and friendly I'm not sure if I'll be coming back anytime soon. *Update* It's been less than 24 hours and two of my tips have already broken off. I am fuming and will be calling for a refund as soon as they open. For $60 my nails should last more than one day. I've never experienced nails breaking in the first week let alone first 24 hours. read more

Worst spa pedicure you will ever have. My appt lasted 15 minutes from the moment my feet got wet to when he was done and walked away. He charged me $22 for a frenetic 15 minutes where I thought he would cut me at any moment. When I questioned him as to how 15 minutes amounted to a spa pedicure and $22, he walked off. This was the only place I dared to go to in Los Angeles (with the exception of a very upsetting experience going to some place in Santa Monica, but that was on request from a birthday girl for whom I was treating her pedi of choice). I came here the second day I moved to Los Angeles back in 2006 and I LOVE it here! Two years ago they had a smaller shop on the same level of the building. Now they're revamped with free wireless internet, huge massaging well-spaced chairs, nice decor, separated areas for the acrylics/gels/exclusive manicures and another side of the place for pedicures. Lynn (Linh?) is awesome. I also saw Q. There are just some great women here and they are always so sweet! They never even seemed to gossip when my dad came in with my mom and me! They loved that he came! The women there always remembered who I was and always said hi to me when I came. I felt like I was getting the attention and time I deserved and I always left Diamond like I had gotten my money's worth. I'm really sad that I moved to San Diego and can no longer go to Diamond Nails. :( I'm trying to find a good place down here and booked an appointment for a pedicure tomorrow morning (Yelp reviewers raved). Maybe next time I'm in the LA area I'll stop by Diamond... I miss them! PS. Usually guys at nail places suck; lacking in attention to detail, foot rubs aren't as relieving, and they aren't as good with the scrubbing and leg rubbing... However, there was one guy who was pretty decent. I don't remember his name, but he was new back in June. Anyway, get Linh or her sister. Q is also pretty bomb. It is true what a reviewer said - if you have an appointment, it might not make a huge difference- but it doesn't hurt to make one! Well, disappointed as I am. I HATE to resort to writing negative feedback about a service I paid for. Diamond Nails is HIT or MISS. Unfortunately. My earlier review was 5-Stars, but I have to take that back based on how today went. If I have to re-file MY OWN NAILS -- even after tipping my manicurist $4 for a shitty job, this is a problem because clearly I am being TOO generous to even rate them a "3." Don't get me wrong, my pedicurest was AH-MAZING. If I ever come back, I will ONLY request her (if only I would have got her name!) :( Honestly, I wanted to snatch back my entire $8 tip for both girls and give it ALL to the pedicurest. Bad work doesn't deserve generosity. The manicurist was so disappointing. Nice lady, don't get me wrong but maybe she is a bit blind or something because I am not sure how someone can completely change the original shape of my nails (which looked perfect when I came in today) and change them to an awkward round and uneven shape that doesn't suit me at all. She just did what she wanted and that's not cool. She filed my natural nails down super short (when I came in they were long and looked like acrylics) I am just so irritated to have had to deal with that. I don't think anyone should to be honest. I will attach a photo of my crappy manicure so you can see you can see how bad it actually looks to know I am not exaggerating. And YES, I had to reshape my own nails MYSELF, after she was finished, and prior to polishing them. Also, I did express my dissatisfaction with how poor of a job she did shaping them. Then she went on to paint them horribly. And got polish all over the top of my hands and underneath in the palms of my hands and I had to ask her twice to remove it. Sorry Diamond Nails, but I will have to take my business elsewhere. Manicurists need to pay closer attention to detail and make sure you do a perfect job in the future. Been going here on and off for more than a decade now. Tracy is so wonderful and I've never had any problems with her. But on the other hand, I got my nails on the 11th with Andy (right before the quarantine), and within less than a week the right middle finger nail broke, and now my thumbnail is cracked. I havent done anything that would cause that to happen, so ummm...? I've come in a few times for pedicures because it's close to home, but will find some where else to go. Older woman with glasses rushes my pedicures every time, barely scrubs my feet. She is not friendly and acts as if she doesn't want to be there. Today I got a gel pedicure and manicure and I asked if they could do a design on my nail , showed a photo they said yes they'll do it. I mean , they tried, but it's nothing like the photo , but instead of taking it off bc I didn't like it, said "no it's ok it's a design".. mainly because they wanted me to pay for the extra designs.
