DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I've been getting my nails done here 15 years and have never had a problem, but I've noticed since David left, the quality of work and customer service left with him. I came in with a photo of the nails I'd like done. I proceeded to ask them if they were able to do these nails before I sat down. They insured me they could and it would be "no problem at all, easy". The end result was absolutely HORRIBLE, she cut my nail beds, I had to ask the nail tech to stop being so rough numerous times. $131 later and the nails looked like a toddler had done them. This is my go-to nail salon! I initially went based on the positive reviews and it did not disappoint. I've now been back every month and always to Ana who gives the best manicures I've had in my life. Seriously, it's the first time I've grown out my gel nails vs. them chipping or falling off. She puts so much care in her work and you can tell she's an expert. Plus she's friendly and so sweet! Ana is now my nail tech for life, but everybody at this salon seems so skilled and nice. This makes me so sad because this used to be my go to nail salon. They jacked up prices and got way worse on quality. I got a pedicure and they barely scrubbed the feet, I came home and it feels scratchy. I could do a better job by myself at home. Secondly I got a fill, the nails are crooked and paint has immediately gotten scratched off, the inside of the nail is a disaster. The nail top wasn't filed down so it bumps up and isn't thinned out. This is why you can't trust reviews all the time. I've been coming here since my teens and I'm well in my 30s. I've been to plenty of other nail salons because I like variety but over the years I know I can get exactly what I want whether simple or extravagant from Peter. I can't tell you how many times he's fixed other peoples work too He listens to you, doesn't rush you, gives you suggestions when you're indecisive and is just genuinely really nice and easy going. The prices are what everyone else is charging since Covid. There isn't a cheaper place for the quality you get here. Also - He's one of the only places I know that still does air brush, if you're into that. They're super clean. They wear gloves and masks (which is super important bc I'm immune compromised). This place can be hit or miss on gel manicures. I live down the street, so I sometimes come here when it's convenient. I've had a couple really good manicures here, but lately they have been more like this (as you can see the polish doesn't even cover my whole nail). It's hard to catch during application too because they pretty quickly move your hands in & out of the curing light without allowing you to look at the nails in between. This place by far does the best job at cleaning up and giving you a well-deserved mani/pedi. I've been going here for about 5 years, on and off with the geographic moves I've had. WIth each move, I realize how great CT is compared to the other places I visit that cost more and do a "half @$$" job at getting all my cuticles and doing a neat polish job. They can get busy, and sometimes even with an appointment you might end up waiting a bit, but this place makes up for it. Sara & Holly are my favorites, but they all do a great job. Oh, and the best part is, they have amazing airbrush designs - even for french designs - they do this "shadow" like airbrush that is really pretty and one-of-a-kind. Wayyyyyyyyyyy too rough!!! & I'm a male, I have tougher hands I'd like to assume. She was shoving my hands all over the place and cutting my cuticles like I had pissed her off. The nails aren't that bad at all as far as quality, but I had to ask her to be more gentle like, why are you being soo rough. Even after she agreed to be more gentle she was the same amount of rough.. I always get designs elsewhere, but they want additional money to do stenciled designs that are airbrushed & not such good quality. They had toy nerve to brag about being the only salon that airbrushes and I see why!! Hand painted designs are wayyyy cleaner. Not to mention they wanted to charge me $5 per mail per design!!! like what!??? Never again will I be seen here! I still tipped $5 that they complained about. Look. I'm not big on pedicures. I'm a lesbian, butch, but my GF insisted we go so I went. It was Sunday, the place was not busy at all but the LA Marathon was going on so that might of detoured people from venturing out of their house...anyway.... The lady who did my toes (no idea who her name was but she had red hair) was super nice and cleaned my toes all up and didn't make me feel uncomfortable because this only being my 2nd pedicure in 30+ years. No color on them, no problem. If you haven't had the worst manicure of your life and would like to get your nails ruined, please try this place! Absolutely horrible is an understatement. This establishment should not be open for business. It was my first time and will certainly be the last time as well. 1. It's not clean and messy. Dirty chairs. Things scattered all over the place. 2. My friend specifically asked Anna and Peter to ensure they put me with someone good before getting there. I got the worst possible technician one could possibly get. She attacked my nails with a file and started filing the gel manicure and digging into my nails with a tool that was taking layers of my nails. I kept asking her to be gentle with no luck. I asked her to remove my cuticles and she started cutting skin surrounding my nails to the point I couldn't feel my skin. 3. The manicure looked like it was applied by a toddler. The polish was all over the my fingers. When asked to ensure it was removed and not all over my nails, she started cleaning it by digging her fingernails all over my skin instead of removing it gently with a brush and acetone. She then said it was done when it was clearly still a mess. When asked to fix it, she said took the electric machine used for filing acrylics or who knows what else and starting removing the polish with that which left dents all over my nails. Absolutely horrible! Please do yourself a favor and do not even think about trying this place. HORRIBLE! THE WORST NAIL SALON EVER! SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!! read more

I don't recommend this place at all. I live in the Weho area and was looking for a new shop for my weekly gel mani. MY APPOINTMENT TOOK TWO HOURS. Literally two hours to do gel nails. I couldn't believe it. The work was also badly done. Everyone who I spoke to in there was nice but the quality of work was just not there. Peter is a master airbrush nail artist-this man can paint anything your heart desires onto your nails in minutes. They have many beautiful designs displayed on the wall to inspire your decision. The salon itself is large and always busy-for a reason! The manicurists here are experienced, patient, talented, and FAST. I got a perfect full set ($25) in under an hour, and they did my pedicure ($15) at the same time. They charge $5 extra for acrylic removal, and $5 extra if you have long nails. I've read the other reviews and I can understand why people might not like this place. It is not fancy. It is not cool looking or posh or trendy inside. It's actually kind of a dump. But, the airbrushing is so dope that I would endure much worse to get it. This is my second visit to CT Nails III and I'll be back again. I got black nails and toes with red and pink flames. My sis got white nails with leopard print. They look amazing. Yes, it's busy. And yes, you might have to wait. You also might have to move around alot. Sit here. No, sit over here. Now move over into this seat. There won't be alot of niceties either. I don't think they say "please" there. But if you walk in there to get a rad airbrushed design on your actual nails, that's what you'll walk out of there with. Just don't expect a lot of pampering. But do expect a lot of compliments for the next two weeks as you flash your mani/pedi around town. It's crowded and messy. There are barefooted clients all over the place: looking around for the newest and juciest People magazine, fan drying their dolled up claws, older Russian women conjouring up dating plans for their single 30 year old sons. The salon workers are jabbering out Vietnamese at a thousand syllables a minutes, with the head guy hollering "Hi, may I help you?" at every entering customer. It's chaotic. They do a good job on their mani/pedis and they are cheap ($20 for both, I think). Their waxes are quick and to the point too, except when they try to tell me I need my eyebrows waxed.
