Tried to tune the furnace anyway to accommodate it, which was actually kind of fun to watch all the different ways it could be done. No other HVAC technician I've ever worked with before has done that. A/C maintenance went great too. First company I've ever hired that didn't try to sell me an entirely new unit just due to a faulty capacitor. Even gave me the model number of the capacitor to replace if I want to save money and do it myself (I'm reasonably handy so it's something I'd probably do). I'll be using them for as long as they give great service!

AC died in the middle of the night. They came out the next morning and said my unit was too old…read morerepair (just over 20 years old), while ripping out something from the power box and seemingly breaking a component in there. They said they could try to do a repair for about $1.3k but that they couldn't guarantee the repair would be effective because of the condenser. They then tried to sell me on their highest end heat-pump for about $24k, which was too much for our needs, since our furnace was also functional. We ended up choosing a basic AC replacement for around $9k. They were able to install the new unit two days later. However, on the day of the install, they saw some surface level rust on the furnace heat exchanger and tried to get me to replace it for an additional $4k. When I said no, they backed off and recommended a CO alarm (which we already have). It felt like I was being heavily taken advantage of because I was in a dire situation. The installation went fine, but my experience of being pressured and hard sold to during the process made it feel like I was being milked for every penny they could get out of me. Take this as a precaution to check your HVAC AC/furnace/heat pump regularly, and get multiple quotes before deciding on work. If you go with this company, they will seemingly do an effective job, but they will try their best to get as much money out of you as possible.

Update 1: 120 minutes into the installation service appointment, within the first 90 minutes the new AC condenser and furnace were both staged. The old furnace is being removed at the 120 minute mark and the new furnace should be going in place within the next 120 minutes. The entire service time was from 0815 to 1200 for a total of 5.75 hours of servicing time to complete a total system swap. I'm impressed by a single mans strength and agility in HVAC work. I have inspected the exterior AC compressor in detail and have verified that the installation meets all local and state ordinances. The technician really goes an extra mile to select quality equipment and sell at near wholesale rates. His truck is nothing impressive and thats how HVAC trucks should be, the more beat up a truck looks the more likely they invested in actual business instead of vanity. FINAL - 1.Took a while to get the furnace done installed but it is a complex setup and he did a very clean install on it. I'm honestly unaffected by a technician who takes their time. This how they get it done right the first time by not cutting corners. 2. Is this an air conditioner or a whole house refrigerator. Because if I turn the AC on and stand near a vent feels like I could freeze a toe. The cooling efficiency is a massive step up from even something 20 years old. 3. Didn't charge by the hour or require me to pay extra for those neatly cut corners on the PVC piping, that's one FurNice install by a really pleasant installer. Secret tip: he loves having people offer a water or San Pelegrino so don't be afraid to offer a drink. 5/5 Will review furnace performance in the winter.
