I took a couple of minutes to decide what I wanted to buy, and the employee patiently waited. I selected one pecan turtle, one s'more, and one deep-dish caramel chocolate chip cookie. The employee had to individually weigh the pecan turtle and s'more rather than charge a per-unit price. The total price was OK. I ate these treats later in the day at home. All three treats tasted very fresh and sweet. I rate the pecan turtle as 4.5 stars, the s'mores as 5 stars, and the caramel chocolate chip cookie as 4 stars. To be completely honest, I wasn't impressed or blown away. I wish I would've ordered a cupcake and left the rest at the door. Unfortunately I didn't even order one of the cupcakes. I came here participating in small business Saturday and Pittsburgh Shopopoly. We purchased a container of cookie dough and brownie batter and one of the hot chocolate balls/bombs. The hot chocolate ball broke before we even got home. That was unfortunate but not entirely their fault. Although packaging doesn't give much support in preventing this from happening. The cookie dough and brownie batter tasted like butter and brown sugar. There really wasn't any other flavor. I've had other edible cookie dough brands and did not have this experience. There wasn't much of a flavor distinction between the two separate flavors in the container regardless of one being "cookie" dough and one being "brownie" batter. The service received was okay. The girl working had little knowledge of the days intended event of Shopopoly and we didn't receive the advertised free chocolates with purchases. Maybe we missed a detail about spending a specific amount but either way, the employee didn't have a clue about it. Wow, I definitely wasn't expecting to be blown away by a dessert shop in a mall food court! But, I definitely am. While at Ross Park Mall, I stopped by Sinful Sweets (or as their sign says, 'Cookies and Cream') and got some vanilla ice cream, a peanut butter deep dish cookie, and a chocolate macaron deep dish. There was only one lady working at the shop. She was extremely friendly. When it was time to pay, she tried to put the cookies into a cookie box but they ran out. Instead, she offered to put them in a different box and take the ice cream off of the price! That is extremely generous of her! The vanilla ice cream is delicious. Not too sweet, but has the exact flavor you want from a creamy vanilla ice cream. I only asked for a scoop, but it was 4 or 5! The cookie and macaron were both also delicious. For $3.50 each, it's definitely worth the price. These are thick, dense, and large cookies. The peanut butter has lots of Reeses on top of what seems to be a chocolate chip cookie. The edges are crispy and inside is pretty soft. The macaron was one of the best I've had. It was chocolate dipped, and also huge! Full of coconut. They also have chocolate, cupcakes, cookie dough, and milkshakes among other items. For a little shop in Ross Park Mall, this is beyond high quality! The young lady working there is awesome, too. Sinful Sweets is an adorable little chocolate and sweets places located in Downtown and is the perfect spot to satisfy and sweet craving. When I stopped by, personally, I felt bad. They closed at 8pm and I literally entered at 7:55pm, so I'm sorry about that but I was hungry! The main reason for wanting to stop was I noticed they sold raw cookie dough which is such a craze right now and something I never tried. In addition to cookie dough they sell regular ice cream as well, and many other different types of chocolate candy so you really can get it all here. Plus, the staff is super nice so although I came in there so close to closing, I could tell she really didn't care all that much. Now, sadly for me, I hated the cookie dough. It was red velvet which I normally find to be amazing, but this wasn't. Nothing against the shop, I'm just realizing that this raw cookie dough trend isn't for me. I thought it was too sweet, the consistency was odd and overall just wasn't something I'd ever want again. Next time I'll get ice cream, but even so I'd still make sure I came back to Sinful Sweets. I stopped by here this past Sunday while my wife and I were downtown. Sinful Sweets Is located right on Liberty Ave close to Market Square and the weird Liberty/5th Avenue intersection. Since there was no parking around on the day that I was there my wife circled around the block while I headed in. The inside of the shop here was quaint and consisted of an area with what I would consider to be random candy, see through glass to some ice cream containers and then a couple of display cases, one with chocolate and one with baked goods. Whenever I arrived at the shop I was immediately greeted by the person working that day and upon looking around ultimately decided on their burnt almond tort cupcake. I got it to go and $3.50 later I was carrying it outside in a nice container for it which protected it from getting too messed up. My wife and I ended up splitting it later that night and upon taking it out of the container the first thing that I noticed is that it was top heavy and had a hard time standing up on its own. After cutting it in half and taking my half, I first tasted the cake portion which was light and moist with a decent flavor to it. Once I was done with that I tasted the top and I was impressed with it. While there was a ton of frosting it wasn't overly sweet which means that I could have eaten it all on my own. It also had a nice consistency to it and I enjoyed the crunchiness of the almonds on the outside. The only thing about the cupcake that confused me was in calling it a burnt almond torte as the flavor didn't really remind me of it and it was tasty on its own. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. In the summer it would be a nice place to stop for ice cream and I have to admit that I was pleased with the cupcake I bought here. read more

Awesome little shop downtown. We swung in after lunch for a dessert to take back to the hotel for later. We got two different of there edible cookie dough treats. She picked the sugar cookie and I got the fudge brownie cookie. Both were delicious and eaten very quickly. We also got a deep dish fudge batter chocolate chip cookie to share and a cinnamon bun cupcake and a toffee cupcake. Again everything was amazing and we can't wait to stop in again. Nice little shop right on Liberty near Point State Park and the Cultural District. Stopped in the evening looking for some chocolate truffles to surprise my wife with at home. They have lots of other sweet options as well, including cookie dough and ice cream too, but the truffles were speaking to me. Price was reasonable and I got a 4-pack sampler of peanut butter, dark chocolate fudge, Guinness and Espresso. I got a dark chocolate coconut cluster and it was delicious. My dad enjoyed his cookies and cream cupcake. The girl working was friendly and patient while we looked around. Everything looks delicious and I will definitely stop back during the holidays to get truffles for gifts. The edible cookie dough is good, but too sweet for me. I can not ever pass up a candy store especially one that has dark chocolate covered anything. Smaller size store with not a huge selection of items , But all the items looked amazing. I got a bunch of dark chocolate covered truffles and some dark chocolate covered nuts. I also got some dark chocolate covered orange, Which where amazing. I had really wanted some strawberries but I arrived too late and they where already sold out. They had some amazing looking cupcakes and also amazing looking dark chocolate covered pretzels. I will definitely be back for more. The staff where extremely helpful and very friendly. You can not go wrong going to the Sinful Sweets Chocolate Company. Oh my - sweets galore! The hardest part of shopping here is finding a place to park, but it's worth it! Truffles, tubs of (egg free) cookie dough, chocolate covered Oreos, and chocolate dipped bacon.... and huge gourmet cupcakes. There are so many options. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The store was clean and well laid out, though small for the large line out the door when we arrived. The lady working recommended that we call ahead, if we desired, with large orders so that they would be ready upon arrival... although that would prevent us from buying "just one more thing to try." :) read more

Cute shop, great location. It's right across the street from the 6th + liberty bus stop down town (next to CVS), which also means it's surrounded by parking garages. Right in the cultural district. I imagine it would be a great spot to grab a treat after a show at Heinz Hall or the Benedum Center. There was a small outdoor patio on the sidewalk. Not very busy this time of year, but a man with his dog was enjoying some cookie dough there, and it seems like it would be a nice place to relax when it's warmer. The shop has a wide variety of treats -- it seems like their speciality might be cookie dough, which I wasn't expecting. You can order scoops of dough or prepackaged pints like at an ice cream shop. They also have beautiful cookies and cupcakes, and (what I stopped in to try) truffles. I tried a few, but the fudge truffle and the Guinness stout truffles were my favorite. Small but well-stocked shop. I tried the triple chocolate cupcake and the brookie dough. Actually, I bought both to bring with me on an airplane and they kept well (they have special cupcake containers! The triple chocolate cupcake was so decadent and moist - loved it. Not too rich for my taste, but definitely chocolaty. The brookie is really rich and not my favorite. Maybe I'm just not used to their version of edible cookie dough (although, let's face it, most cookie dough is edible to some extent!), but I didn't enjoy it as much as the cupcake. So whichever corner of downtown you're visiting, they more or less have you covered now! All of the things you like about the Penn Ave location apply to the new one, except that this place is much more of a "grab and go" spot (while the original shop has some limited seating available). Milkshakes? Got 'em. Cookies? Check. Chocolate covered cookies? Yep! Truffles? Roger. Cupcakes? Go ahead and order a boxful. And there is of course a whole host of other assorted sweet treats, too. I just left with a chocolate covered oatmeal creme pie and a chocolate chip whoopie pie. I suspect they will need some time to get into their grove, especially based on what I saw tonight: one lone staffer holding down the fort (and doing pretty well, actually) as Pirates fans flock into downtown. They have a really nice assortment of sweets. I got a birthday cake cupcake and a cinnamon roll cookie. The cupcake was very cute and had a nice flavor. Sinful Sweets is beyond amazing! This review is for their kiosk in the Ross Park Mall, but they do have an actual bakery on Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh too! The Sinful Sweets kiosk is always stocked full of bakery items, especially lots of great flavors of their edible cookie dough! The employees are super friendly and always willing to help and let you try samples to determine which items you like best. So far, my favorites are the Sugar Cookie Edible Cookie Dough and Red Velvet Edible Cookie Dough. The edible cookie doughs taste so fresh and stay good in the fridge for about five months. I ended up going with the chocolate chip cookie dough because you can't go wrong with the basic stuff. It was absolutely amazing and tastes just like cookie dough. I had to stop myself from eating the entire tub in one sitting. Now that tub is sitting in my work fridge and I'm sitting here sad as I write this review and not being able to eat it. Best of all it doesn't have to be refrigerated which I LOVE. I had how hard cookie dough gets in the fridge so the fact that I can leave it out so it stays soft is incredible in my opinion! It was a Friday evening that we were there, having just come from Anthrocon. There was a line at this place, but all we wanted was a scoop of ice cream. The flavors of ice cream were interesting: cannoli, birthday bash, a piece of cake, peanut butter cup, salted caramel, etc. lots of melted chocolate lay around for sale, as well as empty candy jars with no goods in them, despite their labels. The a/c unit dripped on us a whole bunch when we walked in. When I checked in on Yelp, it gives you the offer to have a free chocolate covered pretzel. So when the time came, we waited in line (there was only one very stressed young man working, he said his coworkers hadnt shown up, he hadn't had a break, and he'd been working all day. What gives?! We got a single scoop of peanut butter cup ice cream, in a plain small cone, price came out to be around 2.77 or something like that, couldn't remember the number and there was no where the prices for ice cream were listed. I wanted to thank my brothers friend for letting us stay and with any woman chocolate is the answer! I saw "Sinfully Sweet" and walked right in. Small little cozy place with a lot of chocolate they make there. They give samples so you can try before you buy. I like all the selections they offer. I'm not a chocolate person but I would come again if I wanted to buy a woman chocolate. But for now I will just be buying it as a thank you and nothing more. A cute place for when you're looking for a sweet pick-me-up. There's quite a bit of variety as far as options, so you can probably find whatever dessert you're craving. The location is made for stopping in as opposed to eating there, and the service was quick. I ordered a cinnamon roll cupcake, which I found to be pretty average. It wasn't spectacular, but it was definitely worth the price I paid for it. The cinnamon roll on top was an adorable touch that tasted great, almost acting as a second dessert. I would recommend trying their other desserts such as the chocolates, as I feel as though those might be the focus. Ah cupcakes!!!! That was the first temptation I saw when I walked into this baked goods, candy, and ice cream store. With your check in you are entitled to a free choice of a basic milk or dark chocolate covered pretzel with any purchase. The ice cream looked enticing however, since we just had a major temperature drop I decided to go with a cupcake and bring a few home. I settled for the pumpkin with a cream cheese frosting. It also had liquid caramel dripping from it. It was out of this world good! Among their other offerings were red velvet, carrot cake, oreo cookie and peanut butter chocolate to name a few.Their most popular was the lemon drop. They also sell cookies partially covered in chocolate with either M and Ms or other toppings. As far as specialty pretzels go they had a dark chocolate covered one with cranberries. Different but worth trying out next visit. This is a great place to stop either before or after theater for a sweet treat without spending a fortune. As I leapt off of a PAT bus Downtown on a recent Friday afternoon, I had a mission in mind: To hit Sinful Sweets first and Diamond Market Bar & Grill second, a detour to Prantl's Bakery (I had forgotten it was there!) serving as a mild complication. The interiors have the colors of a stylish criminal: Pink, white, black... I was greeted by a young woman with frizzled, dark blonde hair, a form fitting grey dress, a high-school letter jacket (???), black fishnet tights, and a dragon inked on her leg. A femme fatale? Well, she did charm me into taking home $40 (2lbs!) worth of beasties bedeviled further by milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and peanut butter. Raisin Clusters, Walnut Clusters, S'mores, and Pecan Roasted Toffee were each cloaked with that which occult chocolatier Christopher George has surely crafted in cauldrons as ebon as a necromancer's eyes. The dark chocolate was slightly bitter, the milk chocolate silken, and when each possessed the humble campfire snack, it transmuted from groundhog to Wendigo. That evening, I too mutated into something horrible, just as I did after visiting the Lawrenceville locale. Kay: "Why was the window open last night?" Me: "I dunno." Kay: "Oh my God! Those chocolates!" Me: "What?" Kay: "Your shirt is ripped to shreds and... on your back!" I find a mirror and turn around to find that scaled batwings have sprouted from my shoulder blades.
