Worst experience of my life. Avoid this place like the plague. Dead serious. Literally the worst spot in Vancouver.

They have one of the best patio's in Vancouver and an incredible happy hour menu. Inside is contemporary and cozy with ample space and doesn't feel crowded. Service was amazing, I was greeted by the GM and the server was very attentive. Happy hour is 2-5pm Mon-Fri, 10pm to close daily. My husband enjoyed a $4 can of Sing Sing lager and I had "good kitty" off their spirit-free cocktail menu. There were so many food options on their happy hour menu: Katsu burger: they make a delicious burger, the chicken katsu was so crispy. It came with rosemary fries and a curry mayo dip that is addictive. Funghi pizza: $3 off during happy hour, comes with truffle cream and is loaded with mushrooms. Fantastic spot to stop by for a snack and a drink. We stopped over for happy hour and got to enjoy some well priced rice lagers. There are a few nice cocktails to pick from as well. Foodwise we got the fungi pizza and rosemary fries. Both were very tasty with a nice mix of flavours bringing a very unique twist to classic dishes. I want to start that I will go back but to try their lunch/dinner menu! That's why we chose this place and made resos for lunch on Sunday, only to find out that they ONLY serve brunch. That was not what we were looking for but wanted to try this place. We were told the kitchen was small and plates meant to be shared! We got the Shishito Peppers (lime-season, peanut sauce, miso mayo). The dips make this! Very unique and flavourful. The Rosemary Fries (shoestring, grana padano, curry aioli) were fine. Warm and the best part was the curry dip! I got the broccolini parm dish which is not on their menu. It comes with thick, but dry toast. The broccolini is chopped fine and in every bite. I could not taste parm but the dish was nice. The potatoes it comes with burst with flavour and oil from the fry. Our waiter was nice but a little too "jokey". It was hard to figure out if he was being sassy or annoyed. Again, we really want to try the whole menu so will come back! read more

Great happy hour experience! The restaurant is large with plenty of seating. And it feels warm and cozy inside. Servers were attentive and friendly throughout our meal. We tried a few different items, including: Rosemary fries: loved the curry dip! And this was a generous portion of fries. I'd come back for this! Calamari: tender pieces of fried squid. A little heavy on the seasoning, but a tasty dish! Pho ga: comforting and flavourful bowl of noodle soup. The chicken was tender and I liked how it was thicker noodles. The soup was tasty and I liked the quail eggs in it. Kimchi and brisket pizza: flavours were good and I liked the crust. It was a bit on the softer side, and to be honest I could eat the crust as breadsticks and I'd be happy. Green juice: loved the presentation and it was so refreshing. We stopped by for brunch over the weekend. The restaurant was not busy and we were seated at the patio section right away as per our request. Patio faced a park which was a nicer view than traffic. After reviewing their brunch menu, we placed our order for a few items. Service was efficient. Food arrived after a short wait. I enjoyed my chicken katsu burger ($22.25). The chicken was fried nicely. There was a good crunch with every bite. The shoestring fries were crispy and pipping hot served with a side of ketchup. My husband ordered a good luck benedict ($19.25) and it was also made well. The pouched egg had a runny yolk. The homestyle potatoes were seasoned well. The pho bo ($18.25, no greens or onions) was what our child wanted. There was a decent amount of noodles and meat. Broth was a touch on the salty side, but was still quite flavourful. That is a good place to go. Sing sing has a beautiful declaration which reminds me of the 90s. Their service is great and the food is great. I ordered the Katsu burger and it was so tasty. Cocktails are a little overpriced but it was ok. read more

This is not to discredit the hard work of cooks in the back or the lovely servers in the front-- both are doing their jobs exceptionally well. However that being said, the staff's professionalism and the "vibes" of Sing Sing are all meant to shroud you from what it really is-- a business to make money. Corners are cut in the food and prices are ridiculous. Pho has horrible portion sizes-- what appears to be a half meatball cut into four, 2 slices of brisket, and 1 "sheet" (their term, it looked like one slice, couldn't have been more than 15 grams of beef) rare beef. Noodles are the flat vermicelli, and no side bean sprouts, basil or lime. Bean sprouts that are in the soup aren't trimmed properly. The broth tastes Americanized, which is short to say it's missing both spices and salt. Again this isn't because the cooks or chef is unaware of what good pho tastes like, it's just to save on cost. Still a great place to grab an overpriced beer, admittedly. Vibes are high, staff are nice, service is quick. Never getting the pho here again. Would probably do the fusion Asian sandwiches which is an easier pill to swallow when reality is sorely not the advertised product. It's a pub after all, let it shine in its burger and fries glory. read more

The place is super cute, love the lighting and the light wood finish. The staff is super attentive and friendly. The food was average all around, we got the pork pho, the dumplings and the spicy pepperoni. All were pretty basic and standard. We ended with the salted pretzel toffee cake which was totally worth it. Portions are good to share. There were so many yummy-sounding dishes, it was hard for me to decide what to get. I finally decided on the Chicken Katsu Burger and the Paw Meh Hard Tea cocktail. The Chicken Katsu Burger was delicious; the chicken was crispy and moist. The fries that came with it were also nice and crispy. And the Paw Meh Hard Tea was also tasty; very unique cocktail that I haven't seen before. It's tequila with lemongrass, matcha, pandan, and some other stuff. I came here with my partner and roommate after viewing the aurora borealis. I thought we would get happy hour fries since it was 12am but the server told us that their system wasn't working for happy hour so everything was regularly priced. I was really disappointed but got the fries anyway. The rosemary fries, however, did not disappoint at all! They were really good--I would liken them to fancy McDonald fries. They give a large amount of parmesan topping, and the fries are seasoned perfectly. We got a curry-like dip and ketchup but ended up just using Japanese mayo from the home. I really liked the soggy fries--a soft mouth's favourite! But the crispy fries are good as well. The fries were really fresh. We got takeout but just from standing outside, we could tell that the ambiance inside was way too loud. You wouldn't be able to talk to anyone inside there. Despite living near their Main St location for several years, I had never visited. When some friends suggested we try the new location on Commercial, I jumped at the opportunity. It was a beautifully sunny day and the neighbourhood was busy, with many locals in the park. We were sat at one of the outdoor booths along a quiet street and enjoyed several food items and a collections of drinks. The high points of our experience included the Tofu Baguette, the fries (small and simple) and the Broccolini. For drinks, the large assortment of beers were all fresh and cold, and the Espresso Martinis kept us powering through the night. We could have done without the Beef Carpaccio, it was just OK. Special mention to our server Sophia (Sofia?) who was honestly wonderful. Not only did she check in with us a reasonable tempo, she was accommodating to some of the dietary restrictions our group had in a friendly and up-beat kind of way. Server was friendly but we ordered a bunch of things to share and everything was extremely salty. Don't get me wrong, I love salt so when I say this. It's saying something! We ordered a couple of the breakfast meals and the potatoes were quite over done. At first I thought it was supposed to be like that... double fried or something but then I looked over at another table. Theirs were perfectly cooked.
