Eggroll, tasted more like what I would call a springroll
    Paul P.

Ordered the pork fried rice and eggroll through DoorDash. I got the large portion for a $2 upcharge from the regular size (see picture) and it could feed 3-4 people, or just two if both are really hungry. It was good, not the best I have ever had but typical, with the classic ingredients and not the carrot and peas some places put.

Food was great here, we were the only people in the restaurant for an hour so no wait for service. The waitress was great and very conversational. We had crispy chips with orange chicken sauce and it was perfect to wait on our food with.

Not sure how long this place has been here but it's new to us. Hole in the wall spot. Comfortable and clean. We ordered two dinner specials which come with egg roll, rangoon, soup rice and entree for $9.95. I ordered the General Cho chicken with fried rice and wonton soup. My hunny ordered Hunan beef with fried rice and hot sour soup. I enjoyed the egg roll and rangoon, very fresh and tasty. Wonton soup broth delicious, the wonton was quickly moved to the side after tasting it. Hunny enjoy his soup, says it was spicy and different with the carrots. The fried rice was underwhelming, lacked flavor super basic. The Hunan beef was tasty, meat very tender, veggies were delish. The General Cho was ok. Meat was fresh tasting and very tender. Very large pieces. Definitely not the same as General Tso, so don't get it twisted. It was more like fried chicken thigh in a nice batter with hot sweet and sour sauce poured over it. Our food came out very hot. Staff was nice, made sure our drinks stayed full and made sure we enjoyed our meal. Chicken pieces were a little large for me and the rice needs some work. Very large menu so many items to try. Great price for the food. Food Ambiance Customer Service Price

We ordered Walnut Shrimp and General Cho Chicken with Hot and Sour Soup. All this for almost 40.00.

So my husband's birthday was yesterday. He used to order from this restaurant all the time and bring me some whenever he got out of work at the airport. It was always good and the portions were great! It's been a few years now and he got nostalgic. We decided to go and get some dinner from here for his birthday. We got there around 8:45pm. The place looked a little messy and there was only one server who was behind the counter taking a phone order. We placed our order and waiting in the corner of the restaurant on 2 little chairs that were presumably for take out orders. We waited 40 mins for 2 plates, a soup and some rangoons. We were trying to open the bag to check the order but we were told everything was in there and the server assured us because she checked herself. We had been patient and saw others come and go but I didn't want to ruin his birthday so I stayed quiet. We got home and realized they'd not given us rice. My "Walnut Shrimp" was covered in a white sauce that was off putting. It was coated in it and there was pecans, not walnuts. They were not flavored as advertised either. My husband was okay with his chicken but it was not as good as he remembered and it was lacking without the rice on both plates. I tried to call the restaurant and was put on hold for 15 mins and by hold, I mean the phone was put down and I could hear where people were laughing in the background. So 55 minutes of waiting total for this restaurant not including a 40 min ride to and back. So 95 minutes technically. I called the restaurant to talk to them today and all they could tell me was that when I go back next time, they will give me rice. That's it. No other compensation, no apology. I will NEVER go back here and I suggest if you are new and thinking of going here, don't. Save your money and try something else. This is not what it was and not worth what it is now.

    Egg Foo Young

Today my husband and I went to this restaurant for lunch it's actually pretty close to his job so we wanted to have some Chinese. I really did enjoy this place on first look it's a pretty good size, it was pretty clean and the prices were reasonable. I ordered the egg foo yong and my husband ordered the beef and garlic sauce. The appetizers were not good to me. However the main course was really delicious. Normally when I've gotten the egg foo young, all the meat is inside the egg foo young and then a sauce to pour on top of it, in this instance the sauce actually came with all the ingredients and the beef on the side as you can see on the plate in the picture the egg foo yong was by itself with rice it still was very delicious. My husband said he will be coming back here because it was very good and he enjoyed his meal as well. I'd give this place a try.

    Sesame chicken!

I was in the area around 9:00 on a Friday night so I gave this place a shot, and I was so happy I did! The restaurant was pretty empty but very clean. Friendly service. We tried egg rolls, crab rangoon, sesame chicken, egg drop soup, and wonton soup. I haven't had sesame chicken with that much crunch and flavor in a long time. The crab Rangoon was perfect. They provided a basket of crispy wontons and dipping sauce as an appetizer for free. All in all, it was $23 for the two of us to eat. Not bad! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the wonton soup. It had a funny smell like tap water. The eggroll tasted a little old. But, I think this is a solid option if you're looking for a clean, quiet Chinese place with good food!

Beef Lo Mein no veggies :) Sooooooo good! Follow my IG: SanAntonioMunchies

The Fried rice & Lo mein dishes are very hearty and generous portions. The owners are very nice. I highly recommend that anyone who tries this place avoid lunch and go at dinner time. It is usually more quiet and the food is cooked with extra care. Taste the homemade pork dumplings because they're excellent. The hot & sour soup is also tasty.

I ordered the crispy dumplings (pork) and spring rolls as appetizers, and the spicy noodle soup as my entree. My server came to take my order, and brought me the items as they were ready. The entree came out before the appetizers. The spicy noodle soup was spicy (as named) and it was good, but it was incredibly oily and the noodles were overcooked, so I didn't eat much of it. I would definitely recommend ordering this with rice, or taking it home and making your own. The dumplings and spring rolls were crispy, but nothing special. I did like the duck sauce they had -- I would have asked my server for more of it, but she was busy in the back or something, not sure. I wish she would've checked in on me a bit more during the visit so I could have gotten more napkins and sauce. The service was alright. I wish I would've gotten checked on a little bit more, but she was nice and helped me pack my noodles to go. Overall, this spot wasn't terrible, but if I had to choose, I'd probably try another place.

We noticed the decor had changed (yes, I said it had been many years) and it was quite nice! We were seated promptly and placed our drink order (tea came with lunch). We ordered Rangoon as a starter. The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.

It was the in between time of late lunch 2:30-3pm so we thought we would miss the Sunday afternoon church rush. The parking lot and restaurant was full but didn't let it scare us. Only had to wait 5 mins. Don't let the full restaurant fool you. The wait staff checks in often and moves tables very fast. Pro tip- you can hang outside and check out the koi fish in the pond to kill some time Sat down and drinks came out fast ordered dim sum which came out in the cute steam baskets first. Shrimp Shumai and pork bao buns were so good. My kids asked for seconds We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken, spicy eggplant/tofu, shrimp& broccoli and the combination fried rice. Everything was perfectly seasoned with the exception of the sweet and sour chicken. It was very bland. Next time I want to order the orange peel chicken instead. Looked good and now we know! So much food we'll have leftovers for a few days. Score!

My daughter and I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was better 15 years ago…read more It is too westernize now; meaning the food is more cater/made for western taste. When you walk in up to the restaurant, the view of ponds with large koi fish was very welcoming, however as soon as you open the door/walk in...it's a chaos of sports on tv and western music that will burst your burst your tranquility from the front of the restaurant. The restaurant was busy since it was lunch. We were seated right away. However it took the waitress a few before knowledge our small table. The waitress was in a hurry and look like she already had a bad day. She asked quickly what we would like the drink and we said water and hot tea but ask what type of tea they have? She mumble something I could not understand. So my daughter ask for green tea. We started off with appetizer as usual. Shrimp toast, chicken wrap, Asian bbq ribs then a cup of hot & sour soup. Main dish were Moo Shu Pork and Mongolian beef. Soup came out first...it was lukewarm. Cup was hot but soup was lukewarm. It was vinegary and salty. This is the first time I had seen/tasted imitation crab meat in a hot and sour soup. I'd flag the waitress down to let her know the soup was cold and if she can bring me another or warm it up for me. She gave me an annoying look and took the soup back to the kitchen. The Asian bbq ribs come out then the shrimp toast a few minutes later. The shrimp toast looks appealing. The shrimp were whole shrimp on top of bread, fried bread. It was ok...no real taste and a bit greasy. There were too much honey and chewy/tough for the Asian ribs. My soup comes back hot to touch... which means it was microwave...but not an issues; what was is ...it was still lukewarm soup. I try to finish it but couldn't. Soup needs to be hot; especially hot & sour soup. The chicken lettuce wrap was delivered. It was again salty; no real taste, except for the salt. A lot of mushrooms over powering the this dish. Keep in mind we had a small table and dishes are pilling up. It took a few before anyone came to pickup the plates. Half way through our appetizer, the waitress dropped off Togo boxes with a bag right after the chicken wrap was dropped off.... Staying it's for later. So we went ahead and packup the appetizers into the Togo boxes to make room. The main dishes came out about 10 minutes later. My daughter was very surprised by her Mongolian beef. It looks more like pepper steak then Mongolian beef. Most Mongolian beef are cook with green onions, yellow onion, garlic, sesame seeds and large slices of beef...some with a little sauce other dry so this is a the first for us to see a Mongolian beef looks like that. It was again too salty. There was more bell pepper than beef. The beef was slice small. The moo shu pork come out already wrap?? Which confuse me. Most of the time the thin rice pancake is on the side and moo shu pork is a little sweet and savory that comes with plum sauce so you can spread as little or lot of plum sauce into the rice pancake then top it off with moo shu pork. Since it was all roll up...it was very messy trying to pull it open to put the plum sauce. The dish lack favors...it had a char like taste. Usually moo shu pork is very flavorful and fill with flavorful juice from the ingredients like cabbages, bamboo, onion, mushrooms and eggs. There was no favor except a char taste. I have eaten here before a long time ago and it's definitely not the same taste/food and experience. We pack the food home so we can get a second opinion from other family members and the results were the same. I would never recommend for anyone looking for Asian cuisine. But if you like America/Asian cuisine/atmosphere then this is a place for you.
