Are here for the first time a couple of nights ago. Solid choice for Chinese food. The restaurant was not crowded in a Sunday evening and the service was good. The portion sizes were very good - as you can see by the pictures. I ordered the spicy combo, and ordered it extra spicy - maybe a language barrier, but I think they took the spice away as it had no heat at all. Still one of the best options for Chinese on the far north side/Stone Oak area! We've tried nearly ALL the Chinese restaurants in this part of town, and T Jin's is the most consistent in value, flavor, and service. We tried some new-to-us dishes recently and generally found them to be very good. Orange Chicken was not overly battered, big chunks of white chicken meat, not too saucy and just a hint of spice. Real orange peel, too, which makes all the difference! We also ordered the Spicy Combination with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Carrots, peppers, bamboo in the dish provided a bit of veggie balance. Not our most favorite, but still very good. As per usual, we started with steamed dumplings and crab puffs; DH added a cup of egg drop soup- this place serves his favorite egg drop soup. Everything was delicious. I always ask for chili oil for that extra added kick! I do wish that the dishes labeled "spicy" were actually spicy. They really aren't spicy at all. Haven't visited many other Chinese restaurants in SATX. T Jin's was ok. Not very authentic but definitely not the worst Chinese food I've had. Service was great and our server was very kind and attentive. We ordered way more than we should have lol. For appetizers we ordered: edamame, shrimp tempura, a wonton soup cup, and dumplings. For our main entrees we ordered shrimp lo mein, orange chicken and crispy beef which was literally the same "orange" sauce on both the chicken and beef. The noodles were ok, pretty plain; no veggies at all. Overall ok experience and great customer service + clean restaurant. read more

The service here is great and the portions are plenty, not to mention it's a very clean family restaurant that offers a variety of Asian food. We got a number of things to try and all were pretty good. I enjoyed the food but I'd say it's not my favorite. I'm more inclined to finding another Chinese restaurant only because I feel the taste here is a little off from traditional. read more

We arrived tonight and they were slammed.. little bit of a wait, but even those waiting in line said it was worth it. My barber said this was the best Chinese food in San Antonio and he wasn't lying. Egg rolls - good, given how busy they were, they would have been better fresh, but they taste great. Steamed and Fried dumplings - yes we got both - both were amazing. Orange chicken - Off the chain delicious - chicken was moist and the flavor amazing Sweet and sour chicken - tender and delicious! If the food can taste this good when they are literally hammered by tables and pickups... I can only imagine what it tastes like in the steady hum of a regular evening. read more

Every time I eat ear, my stomach hurt hurts. It used to be good but now it's not they used to be a great restaurant and I love their orange chicken but now I end up with stomach issues and in the bathroom I do not recommend this place. read more

The crab cheese puffs were AMAZING! They had so much filling and the flavors were spot on! The sweet and sour chicken was cooked perfectly, no weird pieces of chicken, loved the crispiness on it! The sesame chicken was huge, the sauce on it was a compliment to the chicken instead of being overpowering! It was cooked perfectly and the chicken to breading ratio was amazing! It did come with white rice and fried rice, nothing to special but still was delicious! 9/10 would recommend! read more

T Jin's China Diner is a wonderful restaurant nestled in a small strip of businesses in the Stone Oak area. We don't live nearby but find ourselves in the area from time to time and this little place will be a go-to stop for us. In fact, we'll make a drive just to visit. The food is delicious and the service was wonderful. We visited on a week night and didn't expect them to be busy, but in short order during the evening they got increasingly busy. The service was so good that it seemed like they had it down to a science keeping everyone taken care of and quickly cleaning empty tables to keep clients coming in. On the night we busted we had egg drop soup, egg rolls, and cashew chicken. It was flavorful and hot, and beautifully served. The menu is extensive so there's plenty to choose from and plenty for us to try on future visits. Looking forward to stopping in again. read more

We stayed in the Stone Oak area for dinner last night. We went to one of our favorites, @tjinchina281. Michael and team took care of us. Dad had Lemonade, and Hubby and I had Jasmine Tea. We had the Chicken Corn Soup to start. We shared the Cashew Chicken, House Special Tofu, and Orange Shrimp. Great flavors and tender meats! I will start by saying that Chinese is not my favorite but this place is delicious. The menu has a huge selection and the service is always professional and food quality is above average. The rice and noodle dishes are our go to for week night dinners. The egg drop soup is my fav. Always seasoned well and a good amount of egg. This place isn't great, and its not awful. But it is consistent. The food always tastes hot and freshly cooked but the flavor for me lacks a bit. The service is good whether ordering out or dining in, my husband has stomach issues and their food never upsets his stomach so at least I know they are using quality ingredients. He would give them a five star, so my rating is purely on flavor, everything else there is fine. I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce and even though my shrimp were cleaned and deveined they still had that dirt taste, it was weird. My husband had the amazing chicken and he loves it, I would have been better off ordering that, it was pretty good. I've heard great things about this place. I ordered chicken lo mein, cashew chicken and sweet and sour chicken (wanted lemon chicken but it wasn't showing in DoorDash). My cashew chicken was very good, however the fried rice and chicken lo mein smelled weird and had zero flavor, not even soy sauce could save it. Love this place! We usually have lunch here about once a week. The orange chicken is to die for, made with good sized chunks of chicken breast, the egg drop soup is the first thing I order and we always love the chicken egg rolls as well. It's clean. The service is really great. Everyone is very nice and attentive. If you're in Stone Oak it's a great place to stop in. I also love the portion sizes for the price. Great value. read more

My favorites are the pepper steak (which I don't usually order at other restaurants but LOVE here), and the Sweet and Sour chicken (which has a little lighter than typical sauce, which I actually really like. The food here is good and always fresh, which I really appreciate. However, I was very disappointed on my last visit when I went to place a lunch order. The cheapest lunch option on the menu was $12.99, and then I noticed it said "plus $1.99 for fried rice." I asked if that was correct, and they confirmed it was. Honestly, I find that very unreasonable, at every other Chinese restaurant I've been to, fried rice or white rice is always included with the lunch special. I decided not to order and left. The food is tasty, but charging extra for fried rice on top of an already pricey lunch is really disappointing. read more

Arrived rather early so not many tables were taken but by the time we left it was a full house! Both our selected lunch specials arrived quickly and steaming hot. The hot and sour soup was phenomenal, as were the Kung Poa Chicken and Sesame chicken entrees. Had never been before but this restaurant will not be one of our luncheon stops. read more

Solid. For San Antonio. We have ordered take out from here twice now and both times have been pretty good. We are basic - sesame chicken and kung pow chicken. T. Jin's is a good all rounder. I've been here several times with my fiancé and friends over the past couple of years and it's always been consistent. The servers are polite, the food is always yummy, and you can get several items off the menu without having to worry about breaking the bank. The menu is pretty extensive, covering all the basics of your typical Chinese food restaurant; if there's a particular dish you're craving, T. Jin's is sure to have it. The appetizers arrive to your table very quickly after ordering them. The portion sizes are enough to take the edge off of your hunger without ruining your upcoming meal. I definitely recommend the steamed dumplings. They're fresh and moist and are some of the best I've had. For the main courses, a favorite of mine is most definitely the Amazing Chicken, something exclusive to the restaurant. The sauce is to die for, packing a lot of flavor without overbearing the rest of the dish and pairing really well with the steamed rice, and the the veggies are steamed to perfection. The chicken is always very tender and melts in your mouth, but I'd say that extends across the board to all of the items on the menu. The portion sizes on these dishes are massive and it's more than likely there will be leftovers to take home. I will say that despite my love for this restaurant it has caused an upset stomach or two. I believe it's because the food can be pretty rich, but it's happened enough to me and my fiancé to make us think twice before deciding to eat here. It's also worth mentioning that it isn't the best place to stick around and chat either. The servers always seem to know precisely when you've taken your last bite and bring the bill without you asking for it before kind of pointedly waiting off to the side. Again they're extremely polite, but we've felt rushed each time we eat in. All in all, definitely give T. Jin's a shot. Maybe order take out rather than eat in if you're worried about time, and keep some antacids on standby just in case. read more

A very busy restaurant in a strip mall with tasty and fresh food. Service was fantastic and they kept my water glass full. I forgot the dish name but it had three meats, brown sauce with lots of fresh vegetables. Came with rice and was very filling. I came here for my birthday lunch, alone. I was seated at a table for four. I waited 15 mins before a waiter came. Another 5 before a waitress came up and asked me to move to a booth to accommodate more guests. She grabbed my water and tried to rush me over. The patron who needed the table comes up and apologizes. I went to the booth and then decided to leave, anyway. Other tables were served quickly because money was at stake. More bodies = more money. It's tough enough celebrating alone as a disabled combat vet, but to be treated as less of a customer because you're a party of one is substandard. Used to be better, was really disappointed today with our soggy tasteless crispy fried beef orange. Not a salvageable dish, actually bad. The Hunan shrimp was watered down, less portions, very little veges, no taste. This place used to be worth the trip. I'll likely not return. I ordered the host and sour soup and Mongolian beef with fried rice. Overall I found the flavors of my soup muddled, I could not tell the difference between the hot or the sour, there was an over abundance of tofu, and not much else. For the Mongolian beef, the sauce was very thick as if corn starch was added to it. The meat was over seasoned and the onions were not crisp. There is an imbalance between food quality and price. My dog loved the fried rice though. read more
