Singing Hills Memorial Park is such a peaceful and serene place. My mother is buried here and every time I visit, I'm reminded how beautifully they maintain the grounds it's always clean, quiet, and full of calm energy. Today we celebrated Día de los Muertos, and it was lovely. They had complimentary tacos, hot dogs, and face painting which made it feel warm and welcoming for families honoring their loved ones. It's my favorite time of year. The burial plots are definitely on the pricey side, but honestly, it's worth it in the long run for the care, beauty, and respect they show here. Both of my parents are buried here at Singing Hills Memorial Park, may they rest in peace. I come to visit several times a year to pay my respects. One thing that I really like about this memorial park is the continuance of maintenance they apply year to year. The memorial park is beautiful, nestled amongst the hills of east county, offering a peaceful back country appeal. The grass is lush and green. The park offers a lot of mature trees, streams, ponds, and flowering shrubs and plants. They offer in ground burials, above ground burials, estate burials, private mausoleums, and cremations. They also offer bronze memorials and special memorials for our veterans. The memorial park not only do a great job on the upkeep of the park, but they continue to expand and upgrade the park. read more

Very pretty out in that area although the landscaping with the maintenance crews are awful. I had complained about the grass around my parents grave not being taken care of and no one took me seriously this three or four times I've complained. A year ago I could not find my parents grave because it was so thick with dirt four or 5 inches. I was freaking out and crying and I brought it to their attention. Just went out two months ago and the same thing happened again I could not find them because no one had even taken care of the grass or trimming . Could not find my parents grave once again and I had to dig personally four or 5 inches in order to find it extremely upsetting for the money you pay there. read more

I had a beautiful set of windchimes that were stolen from my daughter's internment site. They were engraved to her and of no good to somebody else especially since the biblical scripture on there and her name, was meant just for her. I also noticed the tree next to ours had its windchimes stolen. I went to the office just to let them know, and Norma Rivera proceeded to tell me about her mother's windchimes that were stolen, and how privileged I should feel that they are the only cemetery around that lets you hang windchimes. She tried to show me the new policy and wanted to know if I read it. I told her it didn't matter if I read the new policy, I wasn't asking them to reimburse me, i know they are not responsible for stolen things, but they still need to be aware if there's a thief that's going around stealing . I'm letting you know that things are being stolen here and the cemetery should do something about. I told her maybe get some video cameras. Then she had the audacity to tell me that she had a Customer, and that she couldn't talk to me. I guess my $17,000 that I sunk into that place for my daughter's site, makes me not a Customer. read more

My parents set up their memorial arrangements over 30yrs ago. Dad passed 10yrs ago, and Mom a few months back. Everything was handled smoothly at both services. I enjoy visiting this park, it's always so peaceful and the environment is well kept up. I just made our arrangements there, and it went very smoothly. Thesa is very professional and respectful. She made everything easy to understand, and the financing was easy as setting up auto pay with no financing fees. Ryan at Singing Hills Memorial Park has been most kind, patient, friendly and even creative as I made pre-planned, pre-paid burial arrangements for my aging father. Ryan worked with me on the phone and via email since I live many miles away from Singing Hills. But Ryan's attention to my needs and requests was as considerate, personal and detailed as if I we had been meeting at the office. We needed to create a memorial marker for my father, and I gave Ryan a general idea of what I hoped it would look like. He had sent me sample designs, but he took the time and made the effort to create a completely custom design, including graphics, wording and even a font that was ideal. My parents selected Singing Hills Memorial Park in their pre-planning as they lived nearby and were members at the Singing Hills Golf Club for many years. The service we received when their time came was very good. The follow up care, especially with our current advisor, Iris Wise, is exemplary. I live nearby now, in my parent's home, and really appreciate Iris and her reaching out to me and excellent follow to some questions that I had. My family cannot be more pleased with the care and professional manner in which Iris has assisted. We started our journey of looking for a local cemetery for my hospice Dad in 2021. We didn't have the best experience at the beginning with the rep who is no longer there, but chose Singing Hills because of the closeness, a neighborhood feel, and the grounds are just beautiful! My Dad passed in early 2022 and we have taken advantage of all the events the cemetery offers. If you have the opportunity to attend, please do so as they are very classy events and upbeat and comforting. The bulb event in December is beautiful and very touching. You have the chance to decorate an ornament that night and hang it on the tree and say a little something about your loved one if you chose. You will shed a tear hearing some of the stories, but everyone is there with a common bond. All the staff we've worked with this year have been outstanding: Syltoya, Thesa and Ryan have been more than helpful with any questions asked and friendly people to work with. The GM is at events on occasion too and he is just as friendly! The cemetery grounds are decorated differently by family members every time we visit, which is weekly. Throughout the year you will find fresh flowers, lawn decorations, pinwheels, etc and during Christmas sites decorated for the holiday with trees and poinsettias. It truly makes you smile whenever you drive onto the cemetery grounds. If you are looking for a local cemetery with charm and a place that gives a good vibe, i highly recommend Singing Hills. You can visit anytime of the day, including holidays, and you will see people there having a gathering, or lunch, leaving flowers or just saying hello. My mom has been buried here since 2012 and back then it was gorgeous and peaceful, the wind chimes and the open space but for the past 3 years it's looked like a wasteland with weeds covering all the graves and they took the tree down where my mom is and all the wind chimes we would bring to her every few years got taken down and we didn't hear one word about where those wind chimes are. The whole place looks run down and abandoned im super disappointed. read more

I found out that Singing Hills has a new manager when he reached out to me via Yelp. His response is here, and it gave me a genuine impression of sincerity. I was encouraged by this, and I was able to talk to Scott a little more about what happened. It was refreshing to speak to someone in this industry who has a sincere interest in the feelings of the customers his business serves. He righted the entire vase situation, spoke with me by phone, and even went so far as to place flowers in the replacement vase. It was an incredibly touching gesture, and both myself and my family are very grateful. The responsibility he takes personally for the grounds and their care was not at all present when we went through the process originally, but gives me hope for how things will be in the future. None of this will change what happened, but I am hoping it's representative of positive progress. And either way, I am eternally grateful. I am leaving this with three stars for now, a middle ground between my brief positive encounter with Scott and the hell that we endured those years ago. We will be visiting here for years to come, and I hope I can update my review again in the future when it's clear that my recent experience is the norm, rather than the exception, for those that seek out the Park's services. read more

If you want your family member respected after being buried, Singing Hills Memorial Park is not the place to burry your loved one. I have visited once a month since my grandfather's passing in August 2018. The grounds crew is certain to remove the faux flowers I place on the headstone, flags and other mementoes. They do not trim around the headstone and they do not uncover the headstone when it is covered in mud. The last three months I have visited, the headstone has been covered in 6" of mud. I trim around the headstone, clean the headstone, and water the grass in the summer. I've brought my concerns up with management and they continue to dismiss me. read more

Unfortunately I've been here a few times since both my parents have passed pretty recently. The first time we had Brian helping us with my mom and everything was perfect. I visited the park this past weekend after a death in the family, and the unpreparedness for it, prompted thoughts about what would happen to my daughter if I passed with nothing in place. My wife and I purchased a burial site including interment services at Singing Hills Memorial Park before my wife passed away and I am very grateful for Thesa's compassionate and caring support that helped support me through the burial and interment process. I wanted to give this review regarding Singing Hills Memorial Park because I recently used their services. I had the pleasure to work with Syltoya Sterling cemetery family service advisor. Well I am so glad she was there to help my sister and I through a very difficult time. She went above and beyond and exceeded any expectations I had. My son was buried at Singing Hills almost 5 years ago. During that time I visit his grave site almost every week. I too take care of the site by trimming around the stone,etc. I am appalled when looking around, the condition of some of the grave sites with weeds growing all over them. I was told that the grave sites are cleaned of all weeds every 3 months. As I mentioned I am there almost every week and I know some of those grave sites are not taken care of every 3 months. Recently it was posted that there were new flower and decoration guidelines. I entered the office and asked for a copy. I read them over and felt I had an understanding of them. One of the items permitted was flags less than 18 inches in height. I have had a flag stand and flag (which is 18 inches in length) at my son's grave site for 4 years. One other time in January it was disposed of as I believe the people working there are told throw everything away after Christmas. I complained and was not given any response. The flag remained ( although I change them every few months) until this January 13,(2020) when I arrived at the grave site and it was gone. I called the office and was told they would look into it. It is almost a week later and no response. As I am looking around, I notice a large windmill sitting on a grave site up on the hill above my son's grave site, obviously 18 inches in height or more. Now I am thinking that because that area is a private area and obviously more expensive, do they get preferential treatment? My son's grave site also had a bronze vase, it was stolen a year or two after he was buried. When I approached the office, I was given prices to purchase another one ( why would I do that if it is going to be stolen again?). However, a very nice man from the office gave me a plastic one to be used instead. Now there is a vase which is stuck in the opening which I cannot get out. I purchased a plot at Singing Hills over a year ago. The park is quiet and serene and appears to be well kept until you start looking at some of the grave stones.I have been disappointed in the lack of empathy from the staff when approaching them with these issues. They either do not respond at all or act as if this has no meaning to them what so ever. I would think working at a cemetery, these people would have more compassion and understanding. Our loved ones are buried here and deserve not just mediocre care but outstanding care. Thus the reason for only 3 stars. read more

I lost my wife in July to COVID at the age of 44, Claudia was nothing but empathetic, understanding, and accommodating for our needs. My mother pre-purchased her grave site many years ago and everything was fine. When my brother passed away in 2009 she upgraded to a double grave so he could be buried with her, again everything was fine. She passed away in 2010 and everything was still fine. Since both of them were veterans their markers were provided by the VA. Everything has been going great until this past year or two. Every time I have gone to bring flowers, which is at least once a month, the grave site looks horrible with grass overgrown around the markers. I had complained numerous times and even requested a special maintenance in Sept so everything would look nice for my mom's birthday but when I went out the work hadn't been done. I just went on Thanksgiving to take flowers and the site was even worse, like it hasn't been edged in a very long time. And to make matters worse I couldn't get the vase out of the holder to even leave flowers. I called this morning and "Nancy" informed me that she would put in another work order but there was nobody there today to do the work or even pull the vase out of the holder for me. On top of that I was told that even though this is an "endowment park" the family is responsible for maintaining the markers? I think if we had been told this at the time of the original purchase she would have made a different decision. I have been to numerous other cemeteries around San Diego County and most of them always look outstanding even up close. It's not like I can move them to another park, however I will say we will not bury any other loved ones at this cemetery. My husband and I will be buried at Miramar Cemetery where veterans are treated with respect. read more
