Singular is a nice restaurant that may be a good choice for you if you're dining with a larger group. The restaurant is spacious (unlike many tapas places in the area). Everything we ordered tasted really fresh however it wasn't your typical "Spanish" food. Not the most authentic Spanish restaurant however the food is satisfying enough.

Location: Not far from the Sagrada Familia. The place: Fairly spacious though boring decor. It looked like they had an upstairs but I'm not sure if there are tables, since the waitresses told us to sit downstairs, The goods: I ordered the fried eggs with bacon, sausage, white beans and toast. Note: don't ask for your eggs scrambled because the answer will be 'no' or 'order the scrambled eggs'. OK then. The eggs were awesome though. And buttery. I mean, I don't have eggs like this at home. They're oven-baked too, I think. I liked the bacon and the bread was fresh. Not a big fan of the sausage but my date was. The Cortado I ordered was good! Service: OK. The waitresses wasn't overly friendly. Price point: I think it cost 8.50€.

Enjoyed this place with my family for breakfast before visiting La Sagrada. Cute breakfast restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Smoothie was made with water, so it wasn't as thick as I'm used to. Bikini trufado was ok.

Left to Right: Spanish omelette, chicken croquettes, Catalan cured meats, Danish style poached eggs , smoked egg dish.

We were looking for brunch places after visiting Sagrada Familia that wasn't far and wasn't a tourist trap. Singular is very near the church, so the prices definitely reflect that, but at least the food was very good. We had the Danish egg, smoked egg, Catalan cured meats platter, Spanish omelette and chicken croquettes, along with their fresh juices. There were only 2 of us and we had no problem finishing all of that. Standout dish for me was the Danish egg which consisted of poached egg, toast, tomato, arugula, smoked sardines and pancetta. The combination just worked and it wasn't fishy at all, which I was sort of hesitant about. Would definitely order again. The only thing I didn't really like was one of the cured meats, the Catalan bull (pronounced booy), as it was a bit too funky for me. My friend didn't mind it, so try it and you might like it.

Good spot to stop in before your visit to familia Sagrada. Prices are a bit high for what we got I assume because of its location but still not bad! Service is friendly and quick. Total bill for two breakfasts, two juices, and one tea ~30€

While my stay in Barcelona I came here twice! The food and service was amazing! Really recommend it :)

    Lunch!

Great lunch stop after visiting Sagrada Família. Ordered several tapas items for the family to share. All yummy!

This is a pretty restaurant nearby Sagrada Familia. I would come back (with the following expectation) for a drink (only) and rest my feet with a touch of quality over the stand-up bar and trash on the floor tradition/fun. However, it would be nice if the following were shared in advance to avoid negative feelings. -A cup of 8oz hot water and a refill of my hot water. It cost €2 (1@). -Requested regular water: a bottle of water arrived at cost of €3 As far as food: -Fish and Chips It is a deep-fried fish cube. The oil needs to be replaced for good eats. But, it is not good eats this time. The chip is not the typical fried. It is chips like potato chips. The chicken wings burrito (tapas) is exactly not good eats. The chicken meat tasted stalled. With chicken meat issue and charging extra without being upfront, it pissed my company off. I don't think there will be a return here. So Yelpers... heads up.

The burgers are good, the French fries okay. The sangria is good, but a little too sweet. The staff is nice and friendly. They have English speaking waiters and menus in multiple languages. The cheese and bread tapa was delicious. The red wine was very enjoyable and only €3 a glass. The patio area was nice to sit, relax and enjoy lunch. Just a short distance from Basilica de La Sagrada Familia, but on a street that isn't overly busy with people.

No healthy breakfast options. Eggs with bacon and mushroom and cold fries 9€...

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

For an early dinner by Spanish time, we started with the croquettes. Crip and wonderful. Then the tenderloin which was taste as well, though we should have a sales what is on the top. It seemed like mostly a flavored fat. The tomato with toast was lovely. Soaked with natural tomato juice. The skewered prawns were the best. Get them. And we ended with coconut pudding. It was like a flan with a coconut base. All together fun and delicious!

Today they had one small table on the sidewalk and the rest indoor including limited bar seating. This is a spot clearly for locals as evidenced by the sheer number of people speaking Catalán around me. It's fabulous in every way- service, ambiance, food and what will be most surprising for Americans, price. For less than $20 I had tuna tartar (more like a guacamole with fresh tuna), beef short ribs, wine, coffee, water and the perfectly small sized piece of cake (tarta de Santiago) from the menu of the day Everything was amazing, and while I wasn't able to do so myself, many people left with leftovers. Come, enjoy and just be grateful that places like this still exist in the world!

That was probably a good idea because after we were seated a majority of the tables did fill up. Lunch included bread, a drink of choice, appetizer, entree, and dessert for 18.90 euros. A good place for lunch or a drink if you are in the L'Eixample neighborhood!

Their tapas are super yummy and I love that they have a display case that shows you a good variety of what you can get. I always recommend the abondigas (there a dark green color from the spinach, but really yummy I promise). I also love the grilled octopus (pulpo) and the seafood paella, which takes a while to cook so order it in advance. The drinks and coffee are always a hit, but I love that it's so close (within walking distance) from the Sagrada Família, so I always make an effort to come here after visiting the landmark. Service has always been great. I have usually been served by the Dark Haired Bartender (ask him about his sister in Utah if you visit). Everyone speaks English and is pretty friendly. It's a smaller spot on one side with bar seating and some tables inside and outside, but they have a more restaurant style sit down place that's a couple stores down so you can have the best of both worlds. I usually opt for the bar seating to people watch and chat with the bartenders.
