It's also quite pleasant to spend time inside or outside where I enjoyed my coffee with some friends. One of my friends even got some beans to go! Business meeting with clients opening a premier sneaker and apparel boutique. Just a couple crosswalks up the street, an iced latte was a no brainer. Walked in and immediately you'll notice the high ceilings and great open space with cozy communal seating. Anita Baker "Sweet Love" was playing and the vibe was nice. Getting to the menu, simple with one particular unique stand out for me. The Onyx which is a Vanilla Charcoal Latte. Approached the register and neither of the two staff were very welcoming. No, "how are you" or any small talk. Felt transactional. Not expected from a neighborhood shop. It was straight to business. At least they make a good latte. Let me take a minute to congratulate this place for being so awesome. I had at least 15 years or more not taking a little stroll in Inglewood, and I have to say the ambiance at Market St is really cool. Coming back from LAX me and my friend stopped cause we checked tge mwnu and sha wanted to try the lavender latte and boy, she took a 5 hour flight and landed JUST to try this absolutely delicious drink. I ordered an Onyx which has activated charcoal and was phenomenal, and the place itself is so cozy and relaxing. There was a group of women at a gathering talking about finances and bible study and I loved how they chose this place because of the space. I enjoyed the latte, my friend had to add a bunch of sugar & cream for her to enjoy her onyx, it had charcoal in it so it was an acquired taste. It was pretty busy when I went. Visited with my partner a few weeks ago, and we were blown away. The baristas were really welcoming and kind and had great recommendations for us. Quick wait and delicious drinks, and my wife had a pesto sandwich, which was really, really good. Tons of seating, including couches, tables, and work stations. There's additional seating outside, where my friend and I chose to sit. The service was great! The girl who took my order was super friendly, and made good recommendations, as I was struggling to pick a beverage. I ended up going with the Onyx Vanilla latte at her suggestion. It was delicious! This neighborhood has so much soul. While sitting outside drinking my latte, we met an older veteran named Walter! They were delicious and flavorful, definitely a highlight of our visit. The pastries however were just ok. I had better elsewhere and for the price we were expecting a bit more compared to other coffee shops in the area. The pastries prices felt a little bit higher. As you can tell, the city of Inglewood is greatly being gentrified. This location is located on market Street in which they sell overpriced coffee and the staff does not have any time for any questions. They literally just wanna push people in and out. The flat white had good texture, and the coffee was well extracted. It would have been the best flat white near LAX if it had been served hot enough. The barista mentioned that the coffee machine is a bit old, but steaming the milk for a few more seconds would get it to the ideal temperature of 135-155°F (around 60-68°C). First and foremost, I can't eat or drink anywhere where the restroom is disgusting. Employees also use this restroom and it's absolutely disgusting. Simply cleaning, updating and replacing broken items should be maintained regularly. The restroom totally turned me off from enjoying a coffee and the space. Sip & Sonder is owned by two black women, it is a very popular coffee house in downtown Inglewood Ca. Amanda Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas were two friends who met on a rooftop in NYC while practicing law for the same firm. Fast forward, they became business partners and opened up Sip & Sonder in 2017. There is a small patio in the front, the inside is pretty large with multiple couches with pillows, large lounge chairs, tables & chairs, there are no TV's rathera projector with a large screen that was showing comforting fire place burning scenario, soft music was playing. Customers were on their laptops and reading plus there were a few gentlemen playing a table game. There is a true sense of home here; like a home away from home...the ambiance is just awesome. There is a small art gallery on both side of the wall by the restroom..(btw) which was very clean. They also offer an open mic experience, a cypher sessions with different speakers plus you can host a private event here as well. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful provided service with a friendly smile...Amethyst has really embodied what it means to render good customer service. I had a honey lavender latte which was very good. This is a beauiful place in Inglewood serving the community and all cultures. They are cashless...One thing to be cautious of is there in only metered parking, and for two hours only...make sure you are very attentive to your meter because if expired it is $50.00. read more

What a peaceful full way to end a long vacation. My husband and I visited Sip & Sonder on our way to the airport to head home. The ladies at the counter were very welcoming. The calm relaxing music was a vibe. I was asked about their honey lavender specialty latte and declined as I've never liked lavender in my coffee (though I tried). Street parking is the only option for most of Inglewood so be warned, but when I arrived at Sip & Sonder on a Monday around 4pm, it wasn't too hard to find a spot. Service was fine, and the crowd inside seemed to be all reading or working on laptops. I ordered an iced matcha with oat milk, and though i will say it was still served to me hot "over ice" it was a good flavored matcha. Nothing crazy, I may try something different next time. I attended a meetup here with a group of 10. The space was really nice for us to chill and chat. Some people were working on laptops (I forgot to ask about WiFi) and one person was sipping his drink out front at the table there. I ordered an iced chai latte (they were out of matcha) it was surprisingly good. (I normally get that hot) it was $6.75 +tax and tip. They also have a points/rewards system.
