Service was great and friendly. The interior looks well kept. Parking is decent enough that it shouldn't be an issue finding a spot. They have seating outside. I'm giving it a 1 star rating because the coffee I bought for myself and wife just tasted really bad. She ordered the Buna Miel and I ordered the Vietnamese Latte. Buna Miel was overly sprinkled with cinnamon. The taste was hard to put my taste buds on. It was just awful. My Vietnamese Latte was just as bad. It had a bit of a flavor of banana I mine. I took 3 sips and couldn't force myself to drink much more of it. Completely wasted money. But the service was friendly, lol. This place is not a coffee shop I would ever comeback to nor would I recommend to anyone else in my inner circle. My boyfriend and I cane in on a Saturday morning to try this new coffee spot. They have an egg avocado toast that's been on instagram, so we wanted to try it. The toast is apparently so good that they ran out when we got there! I'll have to come and update this review when I get a chance to try it. I got a cold brew and a coffee cake muffin, my bf got a matcha. I have to say I've never had cold brew this good, and that's without sweetener! They use Groundwork beans but didn't confirm if that's what the cold brew was made from. The muffin was also delicious, very soft and moist, tastes homemade. My boyfriend, who doesn't like muffins, loved it! And after his 1st sip of matcha he said it's 'the truth'. The women's working at the counter were very nice and personable. I also liked the space a lot. There is an area for games, outlets available for charging, and a nice variety of seating. Unfortunately, the drink itself was a big letdown. I ordered the ube matcha and it did not taste like ube at all. The flavor was sour and left a very unpleasant aftertaste. It also had a powdery, grainy consistency. This Black-owned coffee and tea shop in the heart of Inglewood is truly a gem--owned by a powerful mother and daughter duo and one of the very few shops standing in the area. I've been twice so far and had the chance to try both the charcoal coffee and "The Karen" (which I believe is infused with lavender and almond), and both drinks were incredible. They were smooth, flavorful, and had just the right amount of sweetness. I also love that they offer a wide variety of options, including milk alternatives that cater to the non-dairy community. It really feels like there's something for everyone.
