The pacific coast batch brew was a nice surprise. I believe it's a 50:50 Mexico and Kenya. Natural sweetness comes through, good body and a clean aftertaste follows. This was quite a nice surprise. I'm a big fan of Offset Coffee Roasters! Their coffee is rich and strong. The flavor comes through in milky drinks. There isn't a lot of seating, but it's a clean and modern open space with coffee roasting machines on the side. Pricing is reasonably moderate for the freshness and high quality. The service is very efficient. It is located within a decent size free parking lot. There are a couple of restaurants there too, so it's easy to grab a coffee or tea after a meal. read more

Wow, a Rootbeer float latte?! This drink is on their seasonal summer menu. It definitely tastes like Rootbeer, so you have to be a fan of the soda. Their coffee is so smooth & I love the uniqueness of their summer menu! There was also a yuzu lemon curd matcha option. Also, the staff here is great! Decent coffee/tea spot in El Segundo. Wanted a place to catch up with a friend over coffee and Yelp suggested Offset. Plentiful parking is a plus. Service is a bit weird, to be honest. My friend wanted to add Cherry Blossom Foam to her drink and was told she couldn't, unless her drink was iced. She ordered an iced drink and the foam was served on the side. Okay??? Then, I was told "No Cash" very abruptly when I tried to pay the bill, despite a huge jar of cash tips right next to register. My matcha latte and banana walnut chocolate chip loaf were good, though. Set in a non-descript mall just a few miles from LAX, I found the perfect spot for a coffee before my drive back to OC. Minimalist, basic, and clean inside, it's nice to see the small roaster and someone working up front roasting coffee. Just a very basic, simple, great setup. Girl at the counter was apologetic when they were out of drip, and said if it was ok if I could wait 5 minutes. I was fine with that and sat down to watch all the action-lots of traffic early on a Sunday morning. I had ordered the smaller size, but as a courtesy for waiting she brought me a large and walked it out to my table. Star for service. Came on a weekend morning around 10 am, there was a short line but waited maybe 5 minutes to get the register. The ship itself has four two top tables and some picnic dining outside, not a place to work / study at in my opinion. I ordered the seasonal banana dulce de leche latte at half sweetness (thanks to the barista for recommending they could adjust the syrup amounts) and it was a nice balance of flavor but still being coffee forward and not overly sweet. I would definitely recommend that drink if you enjoy banana flavors and will be back in the future. read more

What a cute find near the airport and sofi stadium! We flew in from Vegas to see the chargers play and my husband happened to find this gem coffee shop beforehand. It was perfect location! Near the airport. It is such a cute little coffee shop, perfect for LA. I ordered the ceremonial strawberry matcha. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly made! Not too sweet and you can taste the hint of strawberry. The tea was definitely legit. I would get this again! My husband got the latte and loved it as well. We had cortados and pastries and both were phenomenal. We were hoping for just acceptable coffee, but the cortados were some of the best we've had recently. Offset coffee is located just off the street (off sepulveda) keep an eye or you might miss it. There is minimal seating inside and outside. The coffee was so delicious, I have no complaints. A new branch of the South Bay's best coffee. As expected, the drip is great, and I love the iced Matcha Latte. The drinks are fantastic, and it's cool to snack but if you care about cost, just stick to the drinks. They have some pretty good pastries from an outside bakery, and classics like the ABJ are nice to nibble on, but nothing you can't make at home for a fraction of the cost. They've got a lot of growing pains right now as they face the mad rush of eager patrons, but your order will arrive if you're willing to wait a few extra minutes, and it's truly not that long - they're professional and very sweet even while they're learning. read more

This is my go-to coffee shop for a flat white. I am a bit of a coffee snob and there are only a few local cafes in the area that actually roast their own beans (The Boy and the Bear and Smoky Hollow being the other two main competitors). If you are a coffee fanatic, I highly recommend you give Offset a shot (no pun intended). The espresso at Offset is reliably rich and low in acidity, hence why I get my flat white here. I chatted with the friendly baristas during a slow period at the store (which is rare in the morning), and they told me they calibrate the grind and weight of the espresso pucks every morning to account for different beans, roasts, and temperature changes. If you take enough time to savor your cup, that precision and artistry in the cup really shines through. The milk is also always steamed to perfection. For $5.50, it's basically the same price as Starbucks too, but much better quality. Expect to wait if you're going on a weekend morning. Good quality takes time! read more

The space is bright and inviting and you can stay for a long time. The staff here are super friendly and gets you your order right away. I ordered one of their top menu items which is the Honey Lavender Latte. It's perfectly balanced, smooth espresso, fresh milk mixed with lavender syrup. A little out of the way but manage to swing by and try this place out. Was very busy but service was friendly and fast. Ended up going with an ice hazelnut latte with cold foam that was pretty tasty. The decoration of the place is pretty minimal but I take it that's how modern coffee shops are these days haha. Half good Half trash.... Matcha latte was so bad, it was basically a cup of milk you could see in the picture. I wasn't informed that it wasn't sweetened so I had asked for sweetener and someone turns around who I'm not talking to and says "our regular Matcha doesn't come with sweetener" very condescending. When they were taking our order, they were super nice so I figured I would've been informed if I was gonna get a cup of plain milk. My friends got the strawberry and lavender Matcha and I tried both and they were really good, however, my friends thought they were mid. The only redeeming part for me was the food. I got the avocado toast and the bread they prepared on is super yummy. The avocado is ripe and fresh and the bread is soft and toasted, when we got home, we did add hot sauce because it was lacking a little flavor. My friend got the egg salad toast, which I don't have pictured and she said it was overly salty. She only took a couple bites and threw it away. Overall, I would not return the total for three lattes and three toast was about $70- just for the overall experience to be pretty horrible. If you're a Matcha person maybe opt for a coffee option instead. read more

The customer service is hit or miss; some visits are great, while others feel a bit indifferent. It gets pretty busy in the morning with people stopping by from the neighborhood and nearby businesses. They are NOT dog friendly--after I ordered my coffee, I was asked to wait for it outside because I had my pup with me. They were nice about it, but it was a turnoff nonetheless. There's limited seating both indoors and outdoors, so if you're looking to sit and stay awhile, it might be tricky to find a spot.
