I could see this place being the hang out spot for teens like on Saved By The Bell where the hangout spot was a burger place. Or a place to gather/celebrate with the whole team after a game! It's pretty hip in here, music is playing, friendly service, lots of coffee (or non-coffee) options, ice cream, treats, or froyo with toppings! The space is huge and colorful, oozing of happy vibes, and there's plenty of seating. Brought your dog out? No problem there's some seating outside! Will definitely be back! read more

We've been anxious to try the new ice cream place in downtown Clayton for months, and finally - after lunch at Ed's - we stopped by to try it out. It's a real cute place: fun and tastily decorated. You have your choice of frozen yogurt, premium ice cream, coffee, espresso, tea & more. This ice cream it's not your father's Baskin-Robbins - all the ice cream is imported from Wisconsin - and as a native Midwesterner I can attest that Wisconsin is Dairy Heaven! And they also serve Stumptown Coffee. We took our time making our ice cream choices, helped by a super-friendly server. My wife ordered the Halley's Comet: chocolate and vanilla ice creams with caramel swirls and caramel truffles. I had two choices, mixing "This $&@! Just Got Serious": salted caramel ice cream with sea salt fudge and salted cashews, plus "Cappuccino Break": coffee ice cream with chocolate-covered toffee and candied almonds. Wow. This was the best ice cream we'd had in ages. So rich and delicious! By the end we felt like getting down on our knees to give homage to all the Wisconsin cows. Yummy yummy yummy! Met a friend over at Ed's and had to stop here for dessert because the Wisconsin cream got me. Having traveled to Madison and eaten the ice cream there, I knew that this would be delicious and it is! There is definitely a quality in the cream that is different because there is no fatty after effect. And, as others have already commented on, the portion is very generous. In fact, my single scoop waffle cone was so big, it cracked so the cone and had to be set into a cup. Lovely mint flavor with bits of chocolate. Cool and refreshing. The scoop price was $5 and maybe an extra dollar for the waffle cone? The bill for two of these was $12 which I felt was a good price, especially for the portion size. Free parking right outside the door, indoor and outdoor seating. I'm glad that I don't live closer because I'd need to work my way through the menu. Please support this local business. read more

We host monthly mom groups here! And it's a fantastic spot with LARGE floor space for strollers or parties for kiddos! the flavors are always switching which is amazing for folks who are in the area wanting something new to look forward to in our little town! This review is long overdo. We've been to Sip N Sweet several times so far both with friends and on our own. Super happy with this "new" (ok, new to me as I think they have been around for over a year now at least) ice cream shop local to me! For reference, 3/4 of our family is vegan and going to get ice cream is really really hard. Most places have one maybe two vegan flavors if we are lucky. Add to that struggle that two of us have a rare chocolate allergy and it gets even harder since majority of ice cream shops put some sort of chocolate in their vegan flavors. I get it, chocolate is good especially in ice cream, but it leaves us with nothing. So imagine my surprise the first time we go in to Sip N Sweet to find out that they had one vegan soft serve flavor and two vegan sorbets in the scoops options. The second time we went in, they had the soft serve, two sorbets, AND a creamy vegan option (that one had chocolate, but that's ok since I had three other choices). The flavors are also amazing. I really really like the Big Daddy sorbet. Reminds me of the big pops from childhood. Friends said the creamy non vegan ice creams were excellent as well. The shop is clean with plenty of seating and cutely decorated. Staff has always been friendly. We usually are there in the middle of a weekday and it is always quiet. I imagine it could get busy post school let out and weekend. Highly recommend a visit though! read more

Ice cream was delicious and the serving size was huge!! Highly recommend the cookie dough flavor. Unfortunately a group of biker kids started disturbing the employees. The kids also got into an altercation with other customers which lead to two teenagers fighting outside the store. However, the employees did their best to handle the situation. read more

A very cute shop located in the heart of Clayton. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There is ample seating. I ordered the old fashioned vanilla ice cream and it tasted completely homemade and fresh. My husband ordered the Oreo ice cream and he said it was delicious. My friend ordered the London Fog and she absolutely loved it. If you are in the area it's a great place to visit. They also serve fro yo and have a variety of toppings and cone options. read more

I LOVE Sip 'n Sweet so much. Their ice cream is the creamiest ever, straight from a dairy in Wisconsin. They rotate flavors and always have delicious options. Their frozen yogurt and toppings offerings are also expansive, and nearly all of their fro yo options are marked as gluten free. My husband loves their snow cones. My favorite is their amazing coffee. They use high quality Stumptown beans and always have imaginative, delicious monthly coffee specials. I just had the love potion latte with oat milk - lavender latte with raspberry cold foam. The combination was unexpected and very lovely, without being overly sweet. The owner is a GEM, and all of the staff are friendly and hard working. It is wonderful having a small, family-owned business in downtown Clayton! The murals and decor are vibrant and evoke such a happy vibe. The music is always top-notch as well! read more

Stopped here after craving some ice cream on a warm Saturday evening. When entering there is a bit of a line and it appeared to only have two employees working. They also have frozen yogurt with some toppings. I had a couple scoops and my buddy had a sundae. It did the trick though. I really loved this spot and stopped by twice in the four days I was in town. I ordered the raspberry mocha latte with oat milk and it was a stellar combination. Each visit we were greeted warmly and the latte did not disappoint! On the second trip I tried their ice cream. Another winner! I tried only coffee and I really liked it. The indoor design of this coffee shop is simply mind-blowing! The vibrant colors add such a cheerful vibe to the place. Found sip n sweet today driving by, my wife looked at website and we turned around to stop by. Our boys have food allergies and rarely get to enjoy stores like this. Colin helped us and was very friendly and asked about their allergies and told us what flavors would be best for trying. Both our boys ate the vanilla chocolate chip oat cream and they both loved it. Great atmosphere , enjoyed art on the walls, my wife and I also really liked what we got. We live in Martinez, little drive to get there but we will be coming back regularly now. Excellent ice cream and smoothies. We bring our grandkids (12 & 9) here every Thursday after school. Only issue is staffing - often there is only one overwhelmed employee ( who amazingly manages to smile and be pleasant regardless!) at 2:30-3p serving 20 plus customers. Yet , we are always going back to this delightful palor. read more

Great stops for coffee or frozen yogurt. Staff treated me like a regular on my first visit. When I walked in I could not help smiling due to the colorful, cheerful decor. We are from out of town and we were looking for an ice cream/fro yo spot that wasn't 31 flavors. We came here and it is the coolest place! The decor is awesome! I love the details of the design. A great spot for kids to hang out esp on a hot day! Service was great! This is a great local spot. We will be coming back. One thing- I wish they had more toppings for the fro yo! If I'm going to be completely honest this is just a downgrade from yogurt shack also the inside is just very confusing different vibes on each wall and is kinda weird. Their raspberry yogurt was the worst thing I have ever tasted and the flavor made my cousin vomit. I also think 14$ for 2 cups is absurd!! read more

For starters, the ice cream is excellent. Scoops are generous and neatly served. There's an area for soft serve (self service) and a tiny ice cream cabinet. There also is a delightfully spacious espresso bar area, but to my dismay they couldn't make any lattes when i came (a little past 5pm). The kind server noted that it was already shut down and they don't make coffee after 3pm; which is sad because I was really looking forward to trying one of their creations featuring Stumptown coffee. Anyways, the place is cute, it's very clean - but this may also be due to the fact that it's super empty. Average at best; if you're close by I would recommend stopping in; but this isn't the type of place I would recommend traveling to (from a farther distance). read more

Disappointing because the location is fantastic and decor is fun. They do NOT allow samples for ice cream, nor can you put any of the frozen yougurt toppings on the ice cream (a clear money maker for the business and would help make up for the very minimal ice cream flavor offerings). My ice cream and my husband's frozen yogurt were "just ok." We might have been able to find flavors we liked if they gave samples. read more
