We were warmly welcomed when we entered. The inside had an old fashioned vibe, with large black and white checkered floors and a few sofa fountains for making old fashioned ice cream sodas. They sell Mitchell's ice cream from San Francisco and offered a variety of flavors. They also had a lovely display of cookies, cinnamon rolls and muffin tops and a refrigerated case filled with delicious looking pies. The pies and goodies are made in house. The pies are what caught our eye. They came in a 3" bite size and a 5" size that would be perfect for sharing. The varieties of pies they offered were: Key Lime Pie, Banana Cream Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, Pecan Pie, Dutch Apple and Mixed Berry. They also sell coffees, fountain drinks, sandwiches and salads. You can also get an ice cream sundae, floats, ice cream sodas and Italian sodas. Since we were having dinner next door, I asked if could buy the pieces and have them kept in their refrigerator until after we had our dinner. They had no problem with that. We decided to order the 5" Key Lime Pie, the 5" Banana Cream Pie and the 5" Mixed Berry Pie. We came back after dinner and they had our pies ready for us to eat. All three pies were amazing. They were so good. My favorite was the Key Lime Pie and my husband loved the Mixed Berry Pie. The Banana Cream Pie was delicious, as well, and had chunks of fresh banana in it. We haven't had good pie like this in a while. We were blown away at how good they were. I definitely will return for more pies, the next time I'm in the area. I also want to mention how friendly the staff was. They were very accommodating and fun to chat with. Excellent customer service, all around!

I tried the latte sampler and it was amazing -- such a creative and delicious way to try multiple flavors. The shop has the best nostalgic old-school soda fountain vibe with handcrafted fountain drinks, massive sundaes, fresh baked goodies, shakes, floats, and classic ice cream treats. Everything felt thoughtfully done and full of charm. The atmosphere is warm, family-friendly, and just one of those places that instantly puts you in a good mood. We've also had items delivered a couple times, and they're always well packed and in great condition (not melted) when we receive them. Not only can I get an authentic Taiwanese shaved ice, but they have an incredible variety of ice flavors (strawberry, mango, green tea, etc) and toppings. They also have boba tea (which also originated in Taiwan), milk tea, regular ice cream, freshly cooked Chinese finger foods, and more. The place has tables inside and out and is always immaculate. I also really appreciate that they don't add the problem of landfills overflowing with plastics! They use real dishes and real silverware. I don't know of any other place that conscientious. I have been going here for 8 years. It was started by a couple from Taiwan and the owners the last several years are from China. They keep the place open seven days a week, but even with that grueling work schedule, the customer service is always fantastic. They go out of their way to keep their customers happy. Apparently, I'm not the only one who loves the place, because when school gets out, the place is filled with teenagers and families with children. It's a great place to hang out. On a Friday afternoon, I visited Baskin Robbins to get an ice cream cake as a treat for Easter…read more Even though there were Spring-themed cakes with cute designs, I noticed there was the Dubai Chocolate Inspired Cake in a box that is available for a limited-time. Since this item is not permanent, I decided to order online to reserve in case they run out. When I arrived, a friendly female employee explained how they ran out of the cake flavor that I ordered but an employee from another location was on their way to deliver and would take 10 minutes. I did not mind waiting. After I returned, my cake was ready and a nice male employee gave me my order. Before I tried the ice cream cake, I was unsure if I would like the almonds with the cake because that type of nut is not a part of Dubai chocolate. But the almonds paired well with the pistachio sauce, roasted kadayif, Pistachio Chocolate Bar ice cream, and chocolate cake. The ice cream cake was sweet and slightly salty. I was also surprised how fluffy the chocolate cake was. Because there is no other place near my home that sells a Dubai chocolate cake, I am definitely going to miss this Cake in a Box flavor.
