While we were in Concord, for a concert, we happened upon this wonderful bakery and ice cream shop. The Kreamery and Bake Shoppe is located in the Vineyard shopping center, a few doors down from where we were going to have dinner. We were warmly welcomed when we entered. The inside had an old fashioned vibe, with large black and white checkered floors and a few sofa fountains for making old fashioned ice cream sodas. They sell Mitchell's ice cream from San Francisco and offered a variety of flavors. They also had a lovely display of cookies, cinnamon rolls and muffin tops and a refrigerated case filled with delicious looking pies. The pies and goodies are made in house. The pies are what caught our eye. They came in a 3" bite size and a 5" size that would be perfect for sharing. The varieties of pies they offered were: Key Lime Pie, Banana Cream Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, Pecan Pie, Dutch Apple and Mixed Berry. They also sell coffees, fountain drinks, sandwiches and salads. You can also get an ice cream sundae, floats, ice cream sodas and Italian sodas. Since we were having dinner next door, I asked if could buy the pieces and have them kept in their refrigerator until after we had our dinner. They had no problem with that. We decided to order the 5" Key Lime Pie, the 5" Banana Cream Pie and the 5" Mixed Berry Pie. We came back after dinner and they had our pies ready for us to eat. All three pies were amazing. They were so good. My favorite was the Key Lime Pie and my husband loved the Mixed Berry Pie. The Banana Cream Pie was delicious, as well, and had chunks of fresh banana in it. We haven't had good pie like this in a while. We were blown away at how good they were. I definitely will return for more pies, the next time I'm in the area. I also want to mention how friendly the staff was. They were very accommodating and fun to chat with. Excellent customer service, all around! read more

The Kreamery was such a fun find and absolutely worth the stop. We met one of the owners, Amparo, and she was beyond welcoming and genuinely made the experience feel special from the moment we walked in. I tried the latte sampler and it was amazing -- such a creative and delicious way to try multiple flavors. The shop has the best nostalgic old-school soda fountain vibe with handcrafted fountain drinks, massive sundaes, fresh baked goodies, shakes, floats, and classic ice cream treats. Everything felt thoughtfully done and full of charm. The atmosphere is warm, family-friendly, and just one of those places that instantly puts you in a good mood. I got 8 three inch pies and they were gone in about 3 mins when I brought them into the office. What a hidden gem in Concord. When you walk in, it feels like you are at an old fashioned soda fountain shoppe. The smell of cookies and pies attacks you, so be ready for the deliciousness. Everything is made right there in the shoppe, so you know it's fresh. They also serve great ice cream, local coffee and awesome sandwiches. I can't say enough good things about them. I made my first visit to the Kreamery on Pi Day. Pie, of course, was my goal. Bought a 5-inch Dutch Apple for takeout. Delicious! I thought it was a bit pricey for the size, but after one bite I knew it was worth it. Large enough to share which is what DH and I did. My husband and I have been to the Kreamery and bake shop a few times now The service has always been exceptional the owners/staff have always been very prompt and professional and very friendly Even when they were busy. The pies are exceptional the cheesecake is better than any five star high-end restaurant. The mixed berry pie is perfect, not too sweet just the right amount of tang. And the pecan pie ..... There really are no words. The piecrust is flaky and absolutely phenomenal. They must be made in house. Needless to say, we will keep coming back.... I cannot believe we've been sleeping on this place when it's so close to home! My boyfriend surprised me with some treats from here and we're pretty obsessed. He brought home some cinnamon buns, a small banana cream pie, and a mini chocolate mousse pie. The banana cream pie is SO much better than the one at nations. The pie crust is flakey but can still carry the weight of the filling. Always a positive in my book. The banana flavor is perfect. I made the mistake of saving the cinnamon bun for the next day, so when I had it the outer layers were a little dry, but the center was still perfect. The frosting was AMAZING. I haven't tried the chocolate mousse pie yet -- I'll update when we do. The only thing that could use some improvement (thought we didn't mind it too much), was that the to-go boxes might be just a little short and will touch on the frosting. So if you wanted a perfect dessert to-go, you might want to be extra careful. read more

Made my first trip between Christmas and New Years, and maybe it's just because of when I went (mid day, Tuesday), they were basically out of everything. We were super stoked to try out the pies. The pecan was DELICIOUS! My 4 year old picked out the coconut cream, she was sooooo excited. After a bite or two she said something was bitter. I tasted it and yes the whipped cream was super bitter so we scraped it all off, but it left a literal bitter taste in our mouths so we threw it out, such a bummer. I want to go back and try again, but I'm not sure my daughter wants to return. If we do, she will definitely be the one to give you feedback in person. read more

I attended the Mayor's fundraiser today at the Kreamery. What a great family- owned gem. A Soda fountain bar area with a great selection of Floats. Very clean and old school meets new school. I'm a pie fiend. Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted pie instead of birthday cake. For years, someone in my family has baked my favorite lemon merengue pie for my birthday. I. Love. Pie. I stopped by today to get a little key lime pie and they were out. I was surprised because this was the first time they've ever been out. They should always be out of their key lime pie. They should have a line out the door when they open every day for that key lime pie. I'm a huge key lime pie fan and get it at every opportunity, I even make a pretty fine one myself. The key lime pie at this place puts me to shame. Its so freaking good. I find myself driving around just thinking about it and when I can get there to get some. Delicious! Since I was late the huddled masses already bought out all the key lime today, I went for the coconut cream. Previously I had also had the cheesecake which is also delicious with a graham cracker crust. The coconut cream has a traditional pie crust and it is as good as the best I've ever had, and that's my brother's. He has a gift for pie crust and his has competition at The Kreamery. Solid competition. If you love pie, you'll love The Kreamery. They also have a large selection of Mitchell's ice cream. Yeah, that Mitchell's. Keep it up!
