I've come here once before but it's been such a long time! My boyfriend and I came to have some dessert after our dinner and we chose to sit down and eat! They have 2 lines. One for to go orders and another for their typical indoor seating. Their menu is extensive! Had we not already been full we probably would've ordered some French fries or some other snacks on the side! The ambiance is great, lots of family's and couples enjoying ice cream and their meals. There's TVs inside showing sport tournaments and things like that too. It's not too loud inside either! It's really nice. They give you the option of sitting at a booth or a regular table, of course my preferred option is always booth! The ice cream was delicious! We got a triple sundae and customized the flavors of the ice cream rather than the original vanilla strawberry chocolate. It was so good! The place has a great soda shoppe feel that is really fun. Kids as well as adults seem to really enjoy the place. The ice cream was great, I mean it's ice cream right? We split a sundae that was 'normal' on the menu but easily enough for the two of us. Sauce was easily over flowing the glass on to the plate. Terrible service and zero flexibility. My husband, Grandmother, and toddler sat down at an empty booth to eat the cones we had just ordered and tipped for at the counter. The shop was mostly empty, and absolutely no one was waiting for a table. Despite this, the host told us we had to leave because "takeout" orders are only allowed outside. I politely explained our situation--it was hot outside, and our toddler is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia and shouldn't be out in the heat. I even offered to switch our order to "dine-in" and pay/tip more just so my grandma and daughter wouldn't have to get up. The host completely refused, even stating that the owner would be "furious" if they saw us eating their ice cream at an inside booth. They put out an awning for shade outside, but forcing a grandmother and a sick toddler out into the heat over a rigid counter vs. table policy is unacceptable. Now we know why this place was empty on a hot day while every neighboring business was packed. We will never go back. Rolling out an outdoor awning doesn't make up for a complete lack of humanity. It's been a minute since I've been to the San Francisco creamery. I just had a meal across the street at Dragon Arch Chinese so I needed at shake . They were open don't have a bright neon flashing sign but they were indeed OPEN. There is a pickup take out window off to the side entrance for delivery app and pick up orders which is convenient . After entering to the side for to go not dine in which is a separate entrance to the left side , the lady who helped me was super helpful and served me with a smile and loved her job. The menu is vast and has lots of yummy flavors , even a Thai flavor I noticed. Prices are affordable and not Disneyland high either . Service was quick as it was off peak time. Next time I will try the lunch food for sure. I chose the banana am strawberry and kept it simple . It was fresh but the straw made it difficult to sip on. When it got less thick then it was great. The fact that they had a MAN VS FOOD challenge here with Adam Richman back in 2009 is awesome in itself . Is called the kitchen sink challenge it costs $82. Good ice cream and excellent staff! We had dinner at Galpao and wanted ice cream so we headed around the corner and fiund this place. The name intrigued us as we are avid Mitchell's ice cream goers in SF - the best ice cream in the world! We stopped in and got in the take out line. There wasn't a lot of flavors to choose from, like Mitchells but they make their own ice cream. They had mango and ube, apple pie, and various others. They have junior scoops and single scoops - I opted for Ube and apple pie - 2 single scoops in a waffle cone. The size was monstruous- I should have listened to our server, Christian, who was super friendly, funny and chill! But my ego got to me. OK on to the ice cream- the flavirs were excellent. Not as creamy as Mitchell's, in fact sort of play-do-ee. But tasted really good. The apple pie was awesome, pie crust integrated with small spple pieces throughout- was good. The only issue I had was i detected a food-coloring taste- which was a little weird. I don't know why. Almost like colored cake frosting where u detect the dye in the food coloring. But it wasn't enough to deter me. Not Mitchell's but very good, hence the 4 stars. We saw other treats being made which looked promising - a bengeit sunday topped with whip cream - man look out. On my way from dinner I was walking back to my car and past this creamery and decided to walk in. What caught my eye was all the variety of flavors on this big board outside. Anyways, I settled on the Carmel Golden Oreo. I've never had a golden Oreo but the deliciousness in this ice cream made my taste buds dance! They give you a nice size for the price. The chicken was dry, the bacon wasn't crisp, and the Texas toast felt a bit heavy for the sandwich. Personally, I prefer a lower bread-to-filling ratio when it comes to clubs. The coleslaw was okay--edible, but too heavy on the mayo for my taste. The black and tan sundae looked absolutely beautiful, but eating it was a bit of a letdown. I'm someone who really enjoys the sauce on a sundae, and both the caramel and fudge were layered underneath the ice cream. I had to scoop everything out just to get to them. The narrow glass also made the whole thing kind of messy. The ice cream itself was fine--not bad, but not especially memorable. Personally, I think Lottie's (also in Walnut Creek) or Loard's Ice Cream in Orinda are both better options. I'm rounding my 2.5 stars up to 3, mostly for presentation and the wide selection of sundaes. But overall, I left disappointed and didn't finish either item. read more

They also have an indoor eating area, but I believe it's only if you're eating at their restaurant. The flavors and assortment are plentiful both classic and unique. I don't think it's as creamy as baskin Robbin's or Fenton's. I tried a junior in a cup with 2 flavor - snicked doodle and cake mix. The flavors were all light but good. I want to go back and try the sundaes and larger items. Prices are higher than baskin Robbin's. A junior here is $6 and single is $7. This review is only regarding their ice cream. They have a pretty wide variety of flavors. I got to try the mango peach sorbet which was actually good. However, I decided to get a "split scoop" of the regular mango and green tea. I got the junior size and it was still satisfying enough. In terms of taste, I have had better mango and green tea ice cream but it wasn't bad. I feel like the star flavor of the show was the golden caramel oreo (which my partner got). If you succeed, it's free AND you get free ice cream for a whole year. Otherwise, you have to pay $75.95 in addition to feeling sick hahaha.
