Ran inside for a coffee. Got the nectar of the gods and it was really good. With agave. Pretty quiet for people who wish to come read or be on their laptops. Staff are very nice as well.

This place has stellar ratings and we've been meaning to check it out for awhile. It's 'warmed up' into the 30s so we decided to go outside for a coffee break. The premise of this place is great and service here was quick and helpful. We ordered vanilla lattes and enjoyed them but have had better in the area. Still, we would come back and support this place and try some of the other menu offerings.

Cute coffee shop in Logan square supporting a good cause! They had a good number of tables, good merch, and good coffee. I got the nectar of the gods latte which was delicious and not too sweet. Would come back here!

Ugh, Yelp deleted my entire draft. It was ok. I stopped here because it is across the street from the Logan Square library. I appreciate their mission, so I wanted to support it. They had good specials--I know the latte I picked up for someone else was happily consumed. My chai was ok, but nothing special. The staff weren't unfriendly exactly, but also weren't terribly welcoming and seemed more interested in chatting with one another. I might come back if I was at the LS library in order to support their mission.

Simple and quality selection of coffees and teas, Plus fresh croissants and pastries to boot. Friendly staff to help you make selections, especially if it's your first time there. Cozy atmosphere with plenty of places to sit and enjoy your coffee. The business is located in the middle of the block,With street parking, and public transportation, easy to get to. A great establishment that gives back to the community.

    I loved this idea!

EVERYONE GO TO SIP OF HOPE RN. I fell in love with this coffee shop. 100% of proceeds go to raise awareness and help with suicide prevention and mental health. On top of that and all of the resources they carry, the coffee is incredible.

I adore local small business coffee shops. I go out of my way to support them over major chains. Called ahead confirmed this places closed at 1pm. Drove 48 mins from O'hare airport to check them out. I walked in at 12:53pm to the barista serving a customer a latte. She then walked over to me. I confirmed I spoke with her over the phone and asked for a quad "4 shots of espresso". Hannah responded by telling me their bar was closed and how it's takes 20 minutes to shut down the espresso machine. Even though she had just handed a customer a latte. So did the customer receive old espresso if it took 20 minutes to clean and shut down the bar? I looked at my phone it was now 12:56pm still not 1pm. As a business owner myself this would be my recommendation: Whatever time you stop serving should be your posted closing time. Otherwise if you say you close at 1pm then serve until close. It's a coffee house not a steakhouse and you're telling me you shutdown your bar 20 minutes before closing? Clearly this small business doesn't need our support if they can afford to turn customer's away 20 minutes prior to close especially for something as simple as a shot of espresso. Hannah eventually begrudgingly offered to make an exception for me and make the espresso. However, her attempt to turn me away claiming the bar was closed for 20 mins after watching her serve another customer moments before did not make me feel welcome. I will support a business that appreciates its customers no matter what time they come in. So PSA THIS PLACE CLOSES AT 12:40PM NOT 1PM. Parking is sparse. And the guy who initially answered was annoyed with my confirming their coffee is locally roasted. Goodluck to the owner with their staff choices. One in a hurry to get out the door before close and another with no understanding or appreciation for the product.

The shop is sparsely decorated but seems to be a real staple in the community, which felt special to visit as an outsider. My friend and I both ordered egg and goat cheese bagel sandwiches. I ordered an iced lavender matcha and my friend ordered a cappuccino. The sandwiches were made with boiled eggs, which felt extremely odd. The egg type was not clarified on the menu, but I feel like for a breakfast sandwich to include a boiled egg instead of a traditional fried or scrambled egg, that should be disclosed to customers with some sort of expectations. My friend said the cappuccino was "just like every other cappuccino I've ever had." The lavender matcha really just tasted like a regular matcha. It was good but not much lavender flavor! Our food also took a bit to come out, despite the coffee shop being empty (only one other person already dining when we came in) and what we ordered. It looked like there were only two workers. I personally wouldn't visit Sipping Turtle Cafe again, unfortunately. There are a lot of other great options around that satisfy me more.

I don't know what sorcery they are using to bake these scones, but they are not your average dry, flaky pastry. They are moist, gooey, huge, heavy on flavors and ingredients, and always delicious. I'm tempted to ask the owner to start texting me the scone flavors of the day so I never miss my favorites. Top 5 scones: - Peaches and cream - Cherry chocolate - Vanilla chai and/or vanilla rosemary (can't pick) - Lemon ginger - Chocolate caramel pecan Obviously I'm a sweet pastry person, but they also always have a couple of savory options like ham jalapeño cheddar, goat cheese, etc. I had one that was like blackberry habanero one time?? So good and so unique. Thank you, Ritual, for always feeding me scones :)

I got the 16 oz. iced latte which only comes with two shots of coffee, but I asked for an extra shot to be put in. The latte was fine. The espresso flavor was definitely very strong, but nothing unique or experimental. This is pretty typical of Counter Culture beans since they tend to stick to mainstream preferences. Overall, chill spot. The coffee is reliable, and the interior is cozy.

There's currently no reliable way to place a to-go order ahead of time: their phone number isn't listed, the website advertises online ordering but it never seems to work, and the delivery apps are hit or miss at best. I'd honestly order from here a lot more often if I could easily place an order while out walking my dogs and pick it up later. Some items, like the breakfast wraps, take a bit to prepare, so without advance ordering I often end up going somewhere more convenient instead.

(They freeze great too if you want to savor them). I haven't tried their breakfast sandwich, because I'm not a big pork sausage person-- would love if they had more variations of a breakfast sandwich! You can also order a toasted english muffin that comes with fresh butter and a homemade jam.. it's so simple but addicting. I have had their Lox English Muffin a couple of times, and if you love Lox, it's GREAT. Really good balance of cream cheese/veggie/lox ratio.. though Lox is always so overpowering so it's most of what you're going to taste. If you are a quiche person, PLEASE try theirs. The creativity in their rotating flavors, and their perfect crust, are a must-try. It's soooo well done. Every pastry I've tried has been spectacular, from their almond blackberry croissant to the pistachio escargot, to their donuts.. I don't think you can go wrong. Their cinnamon roll is next on my list.. but I need to try it when I'm with 2-3 other people because it is GINORMOUS. I don't trust that I wouldn't eat the whole thing by myself. Their coffee is good, but there's nothing special to me about it! I come here for their fresh pastries and eats. They have free wifi and it's fairly quiet, so a good place to knock out some work or have a good conversation with a friend. It's neat, clean, and bright with a good amount of seating. This place is right next to my therapy office, so I frequent it a couple of times a month, and I have always felt welcomed and cared for by their employees. If you are eating there, they will go the extra mile to bring your food to your table and make sure you have everything you need. Highly recommend!!
