    Extensions @ Sirens w/Kristin
    Jill B.

Been seeing Kristin for over 15 years for my hair color, cut, and extensions. I have naturally CURLY hair (1/2 black), and Sirens Salon is 100% equipped to handle all hair types beautifully. Choosing Sirens was the result of an exhaustive search, and it payed off. I find the alternative, creative vibe of the salon preferable to a stuffy cookie-cutter establishment. The stylists are experts at bringing your unique vision to life. This results in an outcome that's specifically tailored to you. My hair is pretty traditional- long extensions w/blonde and light brown highlights. So, "normal" hair is within their realm as well.

I was a loyal client at Sirens when I lived in LA and I still return for hair extensions and bleach and tones when I can. In total I've been coming here for 14 years! Omg where does time go?! Kristen (the owner) has been my go to stylist since the beginning. She does the most amazing hair extensions using the rare box braid method, which lasts for several months and does not damage my hair. Her bleach and tones are the best too. She corrects the inconsistencies left by other stylists that I see in my current city and leaves my hair looking beautifully toned and "even". I'm grateful that she's still operating in LA after all these years! Your search for a quality rock and stylist is over. Just call Sirens and make your appointment already. You have found your hair spot!

The reference picture, what I asked for

The first photo is the reference pic I sent the stylist. The rest are what they did, completely different! I paid $200 and did not get anything close to what I asked for. The stylist asked me to return so they can fix it for an additional $100. Honestly I felt so ugly and sad walking around with yellow, brassy, and green hair. After the first wash my hair became completely yellow with a green tint then it started to become more and more green. I reached out to the stylist and they recommended I add the tinted conditioner they gave me and I did but that didn't remove the yellow and it made my hair more green. I sent them pictures with concerns about my hair being green and I did not get a response. I decided to cancel my "follow up" appointment since I am not confident the stylist could fix this, I felt they were ignoring me/didn't care, and several friends informed me that it's not typical for a stylist to charge and extra 100 for a follow up if they're the one that did not do the hair correctly/as wanted in the first place.

I just took a huge leap of faith and changed my hair color to blue and purple!! I was SO NERVOUS! I'm also not usually into the whole salon atmosphere but Sirens is different. Tami took care of me completely and she made me feel right at home! She really knows what she's doing with color!! We talked about what I was looking for and when I said I wasn't sure which all over color to go with, Tami said "why not both!" And!! The cut! I'm really excited about this new look. The cut is also perfect for what I wanted. I love the whole vibe of the salon. It's cozy and well appointed with art. There's also cool vintage clothes and jewelry. It really felt more like visiting a close friend at home Thank you Tami and Sirens!! I'll be back!

    getting my many pinks on

The staff at Sirens is fun and friendly and most important knowledgable about the health and integrity of your hair. They do everything from blonde highlights to rainbow dread hair extensions - each stylist has their specialty so you are sure to get whatever your hair fantasy is (within healthy hair reason) The music is always fun- the vibe is always you're with the cool kids - and it is so awesome to walk out of there feeling like a rock star! The location couldn't be better and you can go shopping on Melrose after to show off your new hair!!!

First off: the salon itself is SO CUTE!! I had my appointment with Sean Lacy today and he did an absolutely amazing job on my hair!! I wanted a mullet w soft bangs and dyed black & rainbow underneath the bangs and it looks so frickin cuuuute!! I have never gotten a haircut I've loved this much:) Sean is absolutely amazing at what he does and he knows what he's doing, as well as being probably one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Definitely couldn't recommend him more, go to Sean for your whacky hair needs

Sean has changed my life!! Sean at Siren's is one of the most talented stylists I have ever come across. He is a color expert and is able to tastefully execute unique and funky hair colors and cuts while keeping your hair healthy and enabling longevity. I am the owner of a fashion line and Sean is the hair and makeup artist for the majority of our shoots. I see him create magic every time, and it was only natural that he would style me for this year's Oscars (2019). I received more compliments that I ever thought I could! Here is an example of his work on the red carpet. (I did not look like that when I woke up)! I highly recommend Sean for and Siren's Salon for their professional and hip approach and artistic abilities. They are the best in LA for a cutting edge look!

    Ask the Community - Sirens

How much (roughly ofc) is it to cut a shag mullet and do a bleach and dye it? (first time ever going to professionals)

Consults are always free, which is suggested, but for your reference: Cuts range from 65-85 Double…

How are they with natural very dark, almost black, hair? I dont want my hair to be completely dead after several bleaches

We never do multiple lightening processes in the same day! The integrity and health of the hair is our top priority!

Do you guys do colored ombré?

    Yes, they do!

What are the prices like? I'm sure it depends on length of hair and what not, but still curious about how steep pricing might be. Thanks in advance!

It's not Supercuts, nor is it Harroin. You won't feel like you've scored a deal nor will you feel you've been ripped off. Sirens stylists put time, effort and quality consideration into your locks. Also: Just ask. They are an honest bunch.

I found Hair by Julianne Cho and was booked with Sumi, and I'm so glad I trusted her! Sumi was incredibly sweet, patient, and attentive throughout the entire appointment. She actually recommended a softer, wavier perm, but I kept insisting I wanted it curlier (lol). She listened to exactly what I wanted while still giving me honest professional advice, which I really appreciated. She also recommended getting a haircut beforehand, and I'm SO glad I listened. I have really thick hair with a lot of density, and she spent about 40 minutes cutting it. She didn't rush at all and was so meticulous. She removed just enough weight while keeping my length, added beautiful long layers, and gave my hair so much more movement and dimension. The perm came out exactly how I was hoping! My hair feels so much lighter, the curls are beautiful, and I'm honestly obsessed with the result. I drove about an hour from the Valley, and it was 100% worth it. Parking was easy, the salon was clean and adorable, and they even had snacks and drinks for clients. Overall such a great experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to make the drive again. Thank you, Sumi!

Jennifer agreed to accommodate me and even stayed after hours to work on me. She assessed my hair and decided what to do (we ended up removing 50% of the extensions -- the previous salon had added too much hair so she could charge me for more hair, which was one of the reasons I ended up looking like I was wearing a wig). Jennifer cut the width of the extensions and replaced them at the most natural position for my head shape, and blended everything together seamlessly. Jennifer, you are amazing!!! Thank you so much. I will definitely be back!

I mentioned some scalp concerns to Anya (who is a scalp specialist!) and was provided with information and possible solutions. So much care was given to cutting and styling my hair, despite being there beyond the offical closing time, yet, she did not rush me. Kiki, who worked with washing my hair and providing me with a blowout, provided explanations to products used and why. I was ready to fall asleep from the massage-like scalp/head cleanse during the shampoo stage. This is the first time I ever talked this much during my time at a salon! I really got to bond over shared interests with both Kiki and Anya. They worked their magic and are supportive, sweet and kind.
