Came here with a group for a dinner for Work. We were brought bread with hummus which I thought was different and I loved (also butter for non hummus eaters). We ordered a variety of apps - I tried the eggplant roll ups which I really did like. Calamari was good but nothing great- kind of plain and just really deep fried - I figured a place this nice would have lightly fried or some special spin. I went with the salmon and risotto. The pistachio crust intrigued me and did not let me down! Nice and lightly crispy outside - if it was a little more raw inside it would have been perfect! The risotto was to die for but very heavy so I couldn't finish it . The menu is shorter but a good variety of seafood/non seafood and all the apps looked amazing to me! The location is great! We came in the dead of January on a Tuesday night so it was really dead but our local client said this is the place to be in the summer and they get really packed. Once again - winter- so didn't enjoy the outside much but looked like a great view of the water! read more

We were there for a wedding party. The venue is great. Foods are not bad at all, some staffs are friendly but one particular waitress is really pushy, she starts clearing out our plates when we weren't even half way through each course. I took a bite of the dessert and there she comes asking if I am done with it! Really?! I was literally chewing the food in my mouth! We ended the party at 8:35pm because that waitress and her staffs are cleaning up tables already. It ruined the mood totally and while we supposed to have the room till 10pm. read more

After a harrowing bike ride where the man and I were each almost killed a couple of times, we arrived at lovely Marina Bay. Sunny and breezy and on the water and free of speeding cars. Perfect. You'll see some yuppies and retirees and babies in carriages. Ignore that - it's still a great place to eat and drink outside. It was noon on Sunday so we could have gone the breakfast or brunch route but we opted for lunch at Siros, where we sat outside on the deck. I notice a few folks call our Siros for being pricey in their reviews. I don't know about dinner but I though lunch was perfectly reasonable. We were served crusty warm bread and a dish of homemade hummus (gratis). Then, we shared a huge bowl or Mussel Marinara and every one was plump and juicy. We also shared the Spinach salad with goat cheese, very lightly dressed. And the highlight of our lunch was the rolled eggplant stuffed with cheese served on a bed of wilted spinach. It was pan fried (as opposed to deep fried) so not greasy at all. Since we were on bikes and the adrenaline was already up given our ride from hell, we stuck with soda water. But I'm telling you, this would have been the perfect spot for a glass of wine or a cold beer or a martini or a Bloody Mary...well, you get the point. Take this piece of advice from me. Whatever you do, don't take your bike here. Drive - there's tons of parking. Or, if you're adventurous take the Red Line to North Quincy Station and walk (quite a jaunt) or take the bus. read more

I should say up front that this review might be a bit biased since we were there for a rehearsal dinner and had a private room. But objectively, Srios has a lovely vibe to it: classy restaurant right on the Quincy marina, with a surprisingly good view of Boston. Since we were in a private room, we had our own servers who were terrific. I love walking into a restaurant when I go home to New England and come across the stereotypical server at places like this. They are well dress in their uniforms, but they still have the crazy frizzy hair propped up into a pony tail in a banana clip, raspy smoker's voice with a thick Boston accent, fake gold jewelry on their wrists, fingers, and ears, and of course, a tan! Oh and they always call you hun. Always makes me feel at home. But I digress. What I mean to say is, the service was great! The food was fine. Siros definitely plays it safe with typical American fare. Not necessarily a bad thing, but kind of boring. When I come to a nice looking place like Siros with a picturesque view, I want to be wowed by the food. And I wasn't. You have your choice of meat and/or seafood, salads, soups and chowders, etc. Everyone will find something they like. I do remember the dessert being delicious, however. Their chocolate cake is rich and gooey, and the gelatos were creamy yummyness. Although I didn't pay for my meal, I did notice that it was overpriced. You're paying for the view, I suppose. Yum... Yes it is pricey but to have real estate on the water like that you have to charge big bucks to pay your rent I would imagine. The rolled eggplant is to die for, it is thinly sliced, breaded and stuffed with an herbed cheese and then baked in the oven with a really good red sauce. I have never had a bad order. Shrimp scampi app or entree both are so good, the white wine buttery garlicky sauce is so perfect every time. Bread pudding...mmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Love it, love it, love it!! They can even be a little snooty there sometimes but the food is so consistently good and the atmosphere is so nice they are allowed to be proud. read more

It's been a little while since my last review but here we go: Food: Overcooked, bland, not one item I tasted was seasoned well. This was strange because it's a pricey place in a beautiful location and you would think some effort would be put into the food. It was hugely disappointing. Went here last night (4/9/16) for a quick dinner at the bar before an event in marina bay. The place has an upscale look and their menu prices match the look. Unfortunately the food just does not measure up. Way over priced for what you get. We ordered the calamari to start. In all fairness, it tasted good. But it's fried calamari with a glaze. Not too hard to make taste bad. But for $14? No thanks. For our meals we had the bolognese and the scallops with risotto. I think the chef is afraid of salt. There was no seasoning to anything. Bland all around. In particular, the bolognese was terrible. I think it was boxed pasta, and it was like eating ground beef covered in cream of tomato soup. Def not worth $19. I'm hoping the chef just had an off night. But this was pretty bad. If they want to charge what they charge they need step up the quality of you get. The service was okay, and friendly. They give you really good bread with hummus, which we enjoyed. Here was an odd thing. They have a tv at the bar. The masters was going on as was a bruins game, but they had on horse racing. This restaurant is definitely just OK. For the price I don't think I would go back. The restaurant smelled a little funny which may have ruined the atmosphere. I ordered the Pasta Fra Diavlo. It was OK. The scallops & lobster were a little overcooked. The sauce a little bland. On a positive note, the restaurant offers a nice view of the Boston skyline. My fiancé and I went here this past Friday for the first time. Everything was wonderful! We had the ahi tuna appetizer as well as the Mediterranean salad. He very much enjoyed the tuna, saying it was perfect. I liked that the salad was chopped up so I didn't have to cut anything. Also the dressing was fantastic! For entrees he had the surf and turf which he devoured, while I had the chicken and broccoli. It was wonderful. I took most of it home so I could save room for dessert. We ordered a bread pudding which was very good but the chocolate cake was the big winner! It was very moist and served warm which was a pleasant surprise. What makes this place so memorable? You get to enjoy your drinks with the beautiful view. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the views from the paito of Boston. I love the bread and hummus. I was really impressed with the menu, they offer interesting choices. We had fried Calms and Seabass. The calms was ok. But the fish was decent. It was a thick cut and it was fresh and juicy. The other apps (eggplant rolls and steak cannelloni) were quite greasy. Salad was tasty but the swordfish and crab cake were bland. Table of 8 and no one said they had a good dish. Just a good time. I've been to Siros probably 4-5 of times and each time has been a winner. First, the outdoor space is beautiful, especially on a nice summer day or in the evening surrounded by the night lights. I highly recommend two items. #1, the Rolled Eggplant, stuffed with roasted peppers,boursin cheese, fresh spinach and tomato sauce. I am a meat eater but this dish is so delicious I could become a vegetarian. #2,the Seafood Risotto shrimp, scallops, mussels,spinach, tomato, Parmesan cheese and chives. OMG!! the Risotto was creamy and delicious and the shrimp and scallops were huge The Mediterranean Salad is huge, so plan to share it unless it will be your meal. I've also had the the Sweet Italian Sausage and Mozzarella Flatbread Pizza with herbed ricotta which was also very good except several pieces were a little burnt on the edges. The waitress offered to have it redone but I declined. (it wasn't that bad) I've never had dessert because I've always been to full from my appetizers/entrees. One day I will go just for dessert not that I need an excuse to go back - I don't. Oh,I should disclose that on 3 occasions I was treated so not having to pay certainly makes a difference. read more

I had the eggplant rollup over 10 years ago and have never forgotten it. Today, I went there for lunch and had it again. It was everything I remembered it to be. It's THE perfect appetizer; size wise (everyone's a size queen! Holla!) and taste wise. The perfect ratio of eggplant, sauce and cheese. My meal was the rigatoni bolognese. O. M. G. I love that their sauce is so fresh tasting. And I mean it's not overly cooked down - which has its own place in the world, but this is one of my top 5 restaurants with the best sauces. a very nice restaurant by the bay.........we were lucky enough to have caught a good day in boston and came here for some outdoor lunching. it was a monday so it wasnt crowded and we were about the only ones there at the restaurant. our server was very nice but i think she was new. the food was very good. we had calamari for appetizer and salmon with sweet potato fries for entree. let me tell ya, sweet potato fries don't come by often, so if you catch a place that serves them, you have to order it! i just think they are absolutely delicious.....especially when cooked just right (not too soggy and not to crisp). my other friends had the fish and chips and well...it was just that. nothing to rave about. it does come with asian cole slaw which has a hint of wasabi.....pretty tasty. we didnt even step foot into the restaurant so i dont know what its like inside, but if you go on a nice sunny day, just sit in the outside patio and enjoy the beautiful view of boston. read more

Let me start by stating that the service was mediocre at best. Even though the restaurant was completely empty, the service was slow. Food was not bad, but not what you would expect from a "nice" restaurant. I had to tell our server to clean the table between dishes, and we had to remind him to refill our glasses every time. One more thing, our server, Chris (or at least that's what the ticket shows), went into the bathroom stall while I was there, right before leaving the restaurant, and left the restroom without washing his hands. This place is so unorganized. I made reservation for Father's Day. I showed up and they said I didn't... Okay fine, I have the reservation confirmation, they sat us down, one waitress showed up to take drink orders. 5 minutes later, another one showed up to do the same again... Why? The waitress didn't know what an Old Fashioned is. Are you serious? This retaurant prices its dishes at the high 20s and you don't know the traditional drinks? Okay fine. We ordered food. 10 minutes later, there's still no bread and butter to start. I asked another waiter, he apologized and brought it out right away.... So i got my steak. it was completely dry. and guess what, this cost me $25. You're better off going to Applebee's for this quality of food. There was absolutely no table service. i stood up and wave for a waitress for our check, even then, it took us 15 minutes to get the check. This place calls itself fine dining. Way way over priced. We went there for New Years and shockingly got a reservation same day. (Weren't sure we had babysitting till the day of) The fact that we could get one so late in the day should have been my first clue something was amiss. When we arrived 15 minutes early I said to the hostess "we have a reservation at 9pm. We are early. Can we grab a drink at the bar?" she looked at me like I'd walked in topless and said "you are early. You'll have to grab a drink at the bar." Someone forgot to replace her hearing aid battery. My husband and I the youngest patrons by far that night waited patiently at the bar for a FULL ten minutes. No one said hi. No one offered to get us a drink. The man candy behind the bar (for all the cougars at the bar) proceeded to wipe the bar, clean the glasses and RESTOCK the bar rather than take our money. So we left. And went to Port 305 for a drink, which was great and we were served right away. We went back for our reservation and weren't seated until almost 10 and no one took our order till 10:30pm. I don't think our food was there till 11pm. Wow. Two hours after our reservation. Thank god we were with friends we hadn't seen in a while or I think I would have lost it. The food was okay once it came. The only reason they get two stars instead of one is because I'd had a decent experience once before. However after this epic fail we won't be going back. read more

This review is not for the food, it is strictly to service. We had reservations and upon arrival the host desk was empty. We literally stood there for about 10 minutes and no one came to talk to us! The bartenders made eye contact with us more than once and did nothing. I decided to ask a woman bartender if we could just sit ourselves and she gave me attitude and said someone would help us. We were so embaressed with everyone feeling bad for us and decided to leave. Then the bartender came outside and offered to help....NO! We are all set! We went next door and were greeted right away. I love the view of the Marina, very quiet and relaxing. I love the ambiance. I used to live down the street from this place and would go very often. The manager is so rude and disrespectful it's not even funny, he wears the same sunglasses all day and at night and speaks to you like you are dirt. my meal was amazing but my dad never got his salad, since my meal was so good me and my boyfriend tried to go back tonight, I asked if the menu was the same at the neighbor restaurant because Siros was closed and I wanted the exact same meal (the only reason we wanted to go back) and the guy was demeaning towards me and answered me so quick and rudely, that we just went home. I work serving people so I know how to speak to someone, and that was not it. I don't know why he still had a job. Disgusting human being and he made me cry. Totally classy, excellent place for a sit down lunch or dinner in Marina Bay. The outdoor seating is a must on a nice day. We had a pretty large party and the waitstaff was excellent. The baby spinach salad was delicious, the bleu cheese was an excellent touch. I got the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich and it was perfect. Wonderfully cooked eggplant, cheesy, and savory sauce. The sweet potato fries it came with were crispy and perfectly seasoned. For dessert the tiramasu was the best I've ever had and the double chocolate brownie was totally decadent. read more

The best thing about Siros is the atmosphere with the tables outside and views of the city and the boats in the marina. If you have a car it's a good place to bring visitors from out of town. Especially if they are paying, ha-ha! The menu is very safe and most people will find something they like. The core is grilled steaks and fish, a few pasta dishes, and a couple of pizzas. The Italian choices are very traditional, for example, prosciutto but not guanciale, white pasta, and the scalloped parmesan, marsala, and picatta regulars you'd find at any traditional Italian restaurant. Don't bring vegetarians here, there are very few vegetarian options, just the bruschetta and a four cheese pizza. There's nothing on the menu if you're a vegan, except the "hummus" they bring before the meal, a doubtless healthy mash of chickpeas with seemingly very little olive oil, tahini or lemon in it. That said, this is the type of place where they would probably customize something for you if you were vegan. A way to save money here is to order from the appetizer menu. The appetizer portions are an OK size, and along with a salad they can make a nice light meal. Another option is to just go to port 305 next door which has a very similar menu (same owner) at around $10 less per entree. I can't agree with others that the service is bad but I only went once so I don't know how consistent it is. We did have a reservation which probably helped. Our waitress was really nice, fast, and helpful. In my opinion, this is a suitable place for kids at least when the weather's nice, because you can take them for a walk on the boardwalk if there's a wait for your food or for the check, so there's no reason for them to get restless underfoot. There seemed to be a fair number of families when I was there. Overall this was a fine dining experience. But it's really very expensive, and if you care about food above all, it's not a good value for the money. If you let go of that, you can have a very nice time here. read more

Wow! I have to say I am pretty impressed with the food last night! We have friends visiting from oversea and I pick Siros because of the location. To be honest, my memory about Siros is that it's an average Italian restaurant in the beautiful boardwall area in Marina Bay. But I was wrong! The food was awesome! We shared crispy calamari, and steam mussels as appetizers. Both come out very tasty and the crispy calamari is very crispy indeed and fresh! I had the sauteed baby clams and it came out very tasty and rich! The pastas was done in a nice texture and I like it isn't too over done (too soft). I am very happy with the dining experience at Siros and we are planning to come back very soon!! read more

I was at a private event there so i can only comment on some of the dishes, but i'll start by saying the staff were terrific, very friendly and welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. I had stuffed shrimp that came with mashed potato and green beans and was delicious. The vegetarian ravioli was also a big hit served in a rich creamy tomato sauce. They have a wonderful outdoor patio with couch's and various tables spread around so overall a good dining and bar experience. read more

3 1/2 stars....rounded up to 4. Located in the "Disneyland Resort-esque" Marina Bay. Albeit a tad overpriced....I will definitely be returning to Siro's. The view is great...when the weather is nice, it is a prime date spot. The view is wonderful and A stroll on the boardwalk apres dining is required. Dining is intimate, casual, and no-pressure. Service was just ok....I expected better considering the menu. Our waitress mispronounced Thyme....and seemed inexperienced, but still nice. As soon as the table was cleared and we denied desert (only because we were too full!)....we were almost forgotten about. Food: We shared the rolled eggplant, which was not greasy, crisp, and flavorful. We shared the antipasto which was HUGE....we wrapped that to take home....a simple assortment of olives, prosciutto, fresh mozz, artichoke hearts...and fried calamari? (I didn't expect that) Main entrees were Swordfish (grilled perfectly) and Lobster Peppardelle (very yummy, although a little too buttery, I still enjoyed it). read more

Ambiance, people watching, and views a five plus!!! I had to "dock" them a star for food, lack of staff on hand. The people watching is instance non-stop traffic of clubbing kids passing, couples and families. This on the back drop of the Atlantic. Rows of boats, a breeze and the glow of other businesses very chic and amazing! This sit down is located right on the boardwalk with indoor, outdoor seating. The tables are graced in white linen, with updated decor and powder rooms. Very romantic, sexy! On to service staffing. Service was on point the staff well trained, attentive. No hostesses and two servers for a Saturday night odd and ineffective. There was no one to greet us, and the servers had way too many tables, a food runner would have been awesome so they could have more time to focus on guests needs. Food, for the location and price point I'm quite confused by the food. The food is very good, but for that location/price should be phenomenal. The Ahi Tuna was medium grade, not top shelf meat. The Wasabi should be on the side and the Asian slaw could be bought pre bagged in a store with sauce. It should have seaweed salad and fresh white ginger instead. The bread hummus nice. The steak was cooked perfectly, again not appropriate quality or marble for the price. Overall wonderful experience, definitely would float in again!!! Nice restaurant, the location on the Marina Bay Harbor makes it better! Great for an intimate dinner or for a wedding reception. They have an upstair room with fireplace where they have functions. The service is pretty good , the food is average-good depends on how busy they are, I had the crispy cornmeal coated Calamari and I thought they were excellent. Main course was ravioli, not that fresh and definetly not homemade as they claimed. The place has a nice patio in the summer. It is worth visiting. read more

I've been going to siros forever. Even had my wedding shower there. Went last night. Waited for a server. Finally someone came over n asked if anyone had spoken with us yet. We said no. The response was. Well I guess I'll be your waiter then. We got no bread. We had to ask. It wasn't the waiters fault either. There was a large party behind us he was taking care of. This seems to be a big complaint with this place now. And I think it's something that's an easy fix or your gonna lose customers. Find people who are attentive. I wasn't happy! read more
