I'll list what we had because it was all VERY good:…read moreAsparagus Fries (pro tip: Don't let people use the wasabi dip, then put it on your burger) Beef burger with cheddar, bacon, and avocado Chicken tenders for kids (get a double order so you can steal some) Green chile stew (with steak in it) Bacon wrapped filet mignon (one of the daily specials) We had a great waitress, chill vibes, nice clean place, fantastic Christmas tree in the middle. Steak and burger were cooked perfectly. Can't wait to go again, the whole menu looked bomb.

I didn't think Los Alamos had very much to offer in that regard so I found myself at Blue Window. The ambience was exactly what I had hoped for. It was vibrant and simultaneously casual and sophisticated. I felt comfortable at my table and I thought the actual blue window decor was whimsical and well done. The lighting was just right and I would think this is a nice place to go out for a special occasion as well as a nice lunch by yourself. I was there for the dinner menu and decided to try the Play on Beef Wellington appetizer and see how I felt after that. I was not rushed to order any entrees and was able to hang out with my unsweetened iced tea as I decided whether or not I would need any more food. The app was pretty tasty. They were small-ish and I can't imagine having to share this with anyone. I ate them all! I was still hungry though, and felt I'd had enough red meat, so I ordered the Mediterranean Seafood Pasta. The scallops were huge and cooked perfectly as well as the shrimp. Delicious. The sauce on the pasta was pretty tasty, with a tanginess lent no doubt from the capers, however after some time I started to tire of the sauce's rich flavor and started to feel a little rough. Perhaps it's simply just my constitution that day, but while the seafood was perfect, the sauce ended up being a little too overwhelming in the end. For dessert, they had a little menu on the table with the options. I decided I couldn't resist trying the Rosemary Infused Creme Brûlée, as I'm a sucker for rosemary. It was FANTASTIC. It came with berries, which traditionally is the perfect refreshment for the creamy confection, and the rosemary was prevalent. I was very happy. All in all, I would definitely go back and try more things on the menu if I'm ever in town again. I was eyeing the beet salad, artichoke dip, and bison burger. Some of the entrees initially sounded good at first glance, but they seem to want to include bacon in most of their steak dishes and I wasn't really feeling it.

Potentially the best dish we had in all of New Mexico The service was amazing, great beers on draft too! Gracious service when it is pouring rain, they were so kind-- so nice! You can sit inside or outside, and when you sit outside, you are looking at maybe the best view of the cliffs in all of the gorge.

Getting the order in was easy. The wait, though, was easily over an hour. When we ordered there was no mention that it would be a long wait. When we sat down and waited we saw all the other people waiting and chased several times for our food. There were only two people working there: the chef (who I assumed was the owner) and the guy behind the cashier. On top of the very slow service and average, overcooked burgers was the poor hygiene in the restaurant. As you can see from the photos, dirty dishes were left next to the condiments, napkins and cutlery. That's where the cashier directed people to put their dirty dishes --- and then they weren't cleared.
