This last weekend, I opened my storefront here in Leavenworth and had Sis Sweets cater in large cookie sheets for people who were stopping by and wanted to talk and visit. I could not be happier with the quality of product delivered, the wide selection options that Sis Sweets provided, and the taste of the product. The oatmeal cream pie was to die for!! It was sooooo good...like if I had bought 20 of those for a party, I'd cancel the party and literally eat all 20 of them with no regrets!! Also everything is the same reasonable price so that makes it easy! I also got the chocolate chip cookie dough brownie which was also really good, but the oatmeal cream pie was where it was at. Additionally, one of my friends gave me a sugar cookie from here--it had the homemade feel and was delicious as well! First of all the lady who said she was not the owner is rude and should be fired. Second everyone was laughing in the background and I'm a professional and she was very rude as I had my kids listening into the call when I called to speak with a owner or manager. This is no exaggeration when I say that Sis' Sweets has the best cookies I have ever had... and trust me I've had A LOT of cookies. It has become my family's tradition to order these for any sort of special occasion, and the cookies are all gone within the first two days. These cookies are the right exact of sweetness and will make you question why you've never been here before. If you're looking for a recommendation on what to get, my go to is either the sugar cookie or the turtle with pecans. I'm a bit broken about what stars to give them, wish it could be a 3.5 but instead I'll stick at 4. We kept hearing about this place so finally we made a pit stop that I could have lived without. We don't have any kids yet so that has some play into why I didn't care for this scene. It's more geared for the children to me. With their big tea tables, and benches that unnecessarily take up the whole place. 1 star for overall thought, again it's a very cute idea for kids maybe a girls days out tea party or lunch. 2 star for serving lunch and it looked good, over seen a turkey sandwich which looked amazing. 3 star for the oatmeal cranberry raisin cookie, it was sooo yummy and moist. I love cranberries but moving on. -1 star for price. The cookie isn't even big enough to fit most palms and they were $1.75 almost 2 dollars for a small cookie that will for sure thinking you should get more because they're tasty but for that price I'll go with no. There are other bakeries near who sell cookies much cheaper. -.5 was for the taste of the sugar cookie with chocolate chip icing. Cookie was dry and grainy, crumbled apart in my fingers. Decadent. ..delicious and dulgent. I loved it all. Cookie dough brownie is the best. The decor is very festive, but it can be a little confusing. The electic items on the walls represent too many things and it's hard to know where they were going with the decor..if it was just a collection of someone's personal memorabilia or just something to do to stand out from other local bakeries..it was just a.little off putting. I don't go to bakeries very often, and even less so since my doctor had me remove gluten, but I do have fond memories of this shop. The atmosphere is very welcoming and usually the staff are exceptionally friendly. It always smells like freshly baked cupcakes and the air is warm and thick with spice. I'm not much of a sweets person and I found a lot of their cookies to be harsh on my teeth but I can certainly see the appeal. They are colorful and loaded with sweet flavor. They offer a wide variety, that seems to change a bit with the seasons, of baked goods for all of your needs. Their prices are a bit high for my personal preference but certainly nothing extortionate. They are average prices for something decadent you don't have to make on your own! If you enjoy sweets and are looking for a bit of a pick me up this is certainly worth the visit. Great way to shop local and support your local economy! read more

We used to visit often when we were here a couple years ago. We just moved back to the area and decided to make it one of our first stops. The pricing has gone up quite a bit and the cookies have stayed the same size. One normal sized cookie = $1.75. They're good cookies but not great. I think the price point is off. Today we stopped in for a second visit and it was 12 minutes before closing time. All cookies were plated up and only sold in "day-old" or "two-day-old" bundles. The day-olds were 18 cookies for $12 or $14, can't remember. The 2-day-olds were half that price. That's a lot of dang cookies and there wasn't anything smaller to purchase. When we walked in they were already closing shop and we were told that they were working summer hours and our choices were limited to the giant plates of cookies. It would be nice to have the option to buy something a tad smaller. Plus, it's bad customer service to have business hours but essentially close up early. I think we'll be saving our bakery splurges for trips into KC. Kind of a bummer, we like to invest in local merchants but good service and great quality wins here. read more

Oh emm geee.... this place is fantastic!!! I am a cookie addict and snob (and super picky when it comes to cookies, I like them a certain way). I was pleasantly surprised, not only with the fresh cookies, but the day old plates of cookies!! The star of this place is undoubtedly the cookies. This is really a cookie shop, with a cafe riding upon it. When you enter, you'll be greeted by lots of baseball and college memorabilia crowding all the walls. The interiors are warm and cosy, befitting of a cafe located in suburban Leavenworth. The cookies are to die for. I love chocolate chip! I think the cookies here have got to be the best I've had anywhere. There were at least 6 different types of cookies available when I was there. What a tough job it was, having to pick one. They all looked inviting. The portions are huge, definitely need a doggybag! The chef salad is great, huge portion and the veggies are fresh. I heard people talk about this bakery and had to try it myself. I went a few minutes before work and got a dozen (cookies, brownies, bars). Got home after work, surprised my boyfriend with them and OH MY GOODNESS LET ME TELL YA- they ALL were delicious and gone in 2 days. Which is scary to think two people eating on 12 cookies but I had no shame. Absolutely hands down, one of THE best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. They're known for their sugar cookies however I've never been a big fan of sugar cookies but I loved theirs. The brownie bars were delicious. Their hours make it hard to drop in, for me at least. She sells delicious cookies and other yummy desserts, I love them. I patronize her business once in a while only due to her prices, which in my opinion overly priced goods are rampant in downtown Leavenworth, with that being typed, I have found the quality of the things I purchase downtown to be good to excellent. You'd sometimes spend the money in gas and wear and tear on your vehicle depending on what you want to purchase. I never have tried the lunch at Sis'NSweets, probably will sometime! read more
