I was visiting family in town and my aunt suggested we meet here for lunch. I'm so glad we did. This place is straight out of a Hallmark movie. Adorable, quaint, and ready for Christmas! I had the peppermint mocha, BLT and chicken and dumpling soup. My golly, it was ao good! The dinnerware is precious - every piece is a unique polish pottery design from Renditions in Weston. I was in the area for work and in the mood for a coffee. Yelp sent me here. The decor is mostly lighthouse's, there is a cute little sitting area around the fireplace other wise there is a large selections of seating. They offer a larger food menu and Pies. Such a cute and quaint little coffee shop! They have a shelf with games & books for customers to use, which I love! Had the lunch Turkey Bistro Melt and frozen lemonade. The café had a really pleasant ambiance. If I had more time, I would have loved to sit and enjoy a coffee there, but since I was in a hurry, I decided to take it to go. The menu seemed quite varied. they appeared to offer breakfast and salads, and there was a good selection of cakes. If I get the chance, I'd like to try one later. We ordered a frappuccino and an iced caramel macchiato. One small downside was that my iced drink was served in a cup meant for hot drinks, without any explanation. I'm shocked that you can get a breakfast bagel/panini for less than $4 anywhere, but you can here! I actually got the chicken salad, it was less than 4$. The serving was smaller, but this exact same meal would have cost 10$ if it was ordered in Kansas City. They have a very large menu, both food and coffees. Harbor Light Coffee House was not only recommended by our hotel staff, but by the staff at the phone store down the street. So, of course we had to check it out! My mom and I went for a late lunch and were so welcomed by not only the staff, but the warm atmosphere. I got their half tuna salad sandwich and veggie salad. My mom got their chicken salad plate. To drink I ordered their medium sized cappuccino. I asked more about the cappuccino and just overall their drinks. The lady was so helpful and kind. I told her that I wasn't sure about some of the other drinks as I am a little sensitive to milk. However, instead of whole milk she suggested almond which was great especially with the vanilla flavoring added. Everything was nothing short of delicious. The salad I ordered had tons of vegetables along with the tuna salad. They must've known I had been missing some vegetables the last couple of days--smile. My mom enjoyed her food as well. The chicken salad was flavored to perfection and along with the greens and crackers made a great lunch. My mom and I were able to chat and relax during our meal. I definitely recommend coming here for a great meal and relaxing and positive atmosphere. The staff are so nice and that makes it so easy to support a local spot like this. A must go to! read more

I'm giving this four stars solely based on the atmosphere of the shop. It seemed like a cute place to hang out or a nice, quaint lunch date spot. I didn't dine in, but will definitely be back if I ever get a date. Lol. Now to the food...I specifically came for the chicken salad. It was just okay honestly. The initial bite is decent because you can taste some of the sweetness from the relish/salad cubes. But as you chew, you can tell the chicken is not individually seasoned like I'm used to. I also ordered a BLT with some cheddar cheese. The BLT was good. The bacon wasn't cooked fresh, but had great flavor. I asked for extra Mayo. I guess I had to specify further that I wanted Mayo on both sides of the bread. So, the extra Mayo was all one my side of the sandwich. Womp womp womp. But nonetheless, it was a good sandwich. Also ordered two scones: blueberry and cinnamon. Both yummy. Moister than a normal scone (flaky and sometimes considered as dry), but I don't mind a non-traditional scone. I ordered the Harvest Cinnamon Cider and the BBQ Brisket Hot Pressed Wrap. To my surprise, there's mashed potatoes inside the wrap. At first I was hesitant in ordering the brisket wrap because I'm not a big fan of BBQ sauce. However, the addition of the mashed potatoes balanced out the BBQ sauce sweetness very well. I was definitely surprised by the first bite! They take the harvest seriously here! They have pumpkin cheesecake to pumpkin bread! I love coming here. My husband and I had our first date here. The people who work here are lovely, I never have a bad experience. However, I don't really like the coffee. I always enjoy and iced coffee of some sort. But I feel like the syrup they use is really overpowering and you can tell it's a syrup. So I always have to order my coffee hot, and drink it about an hour later, which is obviously not the same. However, I come here for the Turkey Bistro Melt Panini. It's heaven on bread. The sauce on it is magical, and it is always fresh, vegetables meat, cheeses. It tastes like they grew and made everything in shop. Staff were extremely friendly and there was a wide selection of baked goods to choose from for snacking. Black coffee was pretty good, fairy standard as far as coffee goes. Not sure who they use for their roasting, but it was a good roast that delivered the desired pick me up. Also had a egg sandwich on a bagel which was really good. Paired with the coffee, I was content to sit for a few and enjoy the ambiance and refreshments. Leavenworth is a stop I make twice a year for work. Very cozy!! Great coffee that is served in mismatched European pottery which gives it a real homey feel. Delicious menu that is varied enough to give you choices but not to many that it is overwhelming. They also have a great selection of baked goods (chocolate silk pie, apple, cherry, lemon meringue, cinnamon buns, brownies, etc) but we haven't made it in for dessert yet. My husband loves their peach smoothies... We found this place last week and have already been there four times!! The atmosphere is great... they have two bookshelves full of board games and books.
