Terrible. Long story short, i asked them to install a new a/c unit for me. They installed one that was not compatible with my furnace, so it stuttered and hiccuped all summer long and every time i called for them to come out to fix it, they did temporary fixes, extra oil, etc. the next summer as soon as I started to a/c unit again, it immediately started to hiccup and stutter again. Then they blamed it on a possible recall and told me that i am now out of the warranty period and i was out of luck. The office staff were absolutely combative and refused to address the problem when the manufacturer said that my unit was not part of any recall, it was an installation issue. When my furnace died, the company I hired to fix it said that the a/c unit wasn't compatible with my furnace and it fried the motherboard. They never accepted any responsibility and it cost me a fortune to fix what they screwed up. Reported them to BBB DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. A name change doesn't mean a darn thing to the people you screwed over. read more

Golden Days was requested to perform several services on my Geothermal Water Furnace. The first service was to Service for Winter. The tech was very Personable and thorough And did an excellent job. The second job resulted when the technician found the leak in the basement wall where the field pipe exits . The area was excavated the leak was properly repaired And the excavation was returned to original condition. All of the work Was performed in Quality and Professional Manner. Thank you. (Lorain County, OH) We are thrilled we went with Golden Days (formerly Sisler Heating) to install our new geothermal hvac system back in January 2024. We had used them in the past to service our old unit that came with the house, and the techs who came out (Brandon and Jason) were always on time, extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. So, when it came time to replace our old system, we had absolutely no reservations about choosing them. We've never truly felt that kind of "comfort factor" from any other hvac company. (We've had 6 other companies quote and/or service our system throughout the years.) Golden Days obviously take pride in what they do; this is not "just a job" for them. That's true for everyone we've dealt with there--from the concerned and helpful customer service rep to the expert repair techs to the efficient installers. Everyone we encountered at Golden Days treats our hvac problems as if they are their problems to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. The installation was amazing. They were able to "rush" the delivery of the unit which allowed them to install it 3 days earlier (on a Friday not Monday) to avoid a sub-0° wind chill cold snap headed our way. (Our existing furnace would not have been able to heat the house.) On installation day, 4 men showed up--when they were supposed to! They were very respectful of us and our house. They laid out blankets to protect our floors and were extremely careful carrying all the heavy equipment in and out of the house. They worked quietly, quickly, expertly, and efficiently, despite what was thrown at them (for example, our calcified hot water tank). They were all very personable with a helpful attitude. We merely had to look puzzled before one would eagerly explain the system, installation, instructions, etc. Everything was completed just as expected and promised (or even better than)! And, our basement looked just as clean after the installation as before. All in all, an outstanding job by everyone. This certainly made an inherently stressful situation a very positive one. Now, 9 months later, the system is still doing great and we are enjoying cool rooms in the summer (even upstairs!) and warm rooms in the winter. Based on their highly knowledgeable and efficient staff and their work ethic and integrity, we highly recommend Golden Days. read more

We had Sisler install a geothermal system in our house. Our lot previously could only get propane fuel for heating and was costing us thousands of dollars to heat our home during the winter. I can't explain how much money we've saved switching to geothermal and how happy we are with this system. Sisler was fantastic with our install, they were informative and professional. I have given and still will give you the opportunity to come out and see the proof that I have that shows your installers knowingly or unknowingly did damage before I take it to the next step. I have a claim under the "consumer sales practice act" but to save us both especially you from having to go down this path I think you should visit with me to at least discuss which you have refused to do. read more

This year we had a new GeoThermal unit installed due to faults caused by shoddy repair work that I spent over $2k to have made. We used a different contractor to install the new unit. It was nice to see that it only took Sissler 16 months to respond to my last review. read more

Sisler installed a Water Furnace Series 7 geothermal system at my home in March of 2015. The system went down on 12/23/16. When I called for service, Sisler said they were not able to send a technician until 12/29/16. The tech said I needed a repair that would be covered by Water Furnace warranty but handed me a $200 bill for the service call which I paid the next day. Parts didn't come in for the repair until 1/9/17 but I had to wait until 1/17/17 before they could send a tech out to complete the actual repair. He showed up late at 2pm for an appointment that was supposed to be first thing in the morning. When he was done with the work, the tech handed me another bill for an additional $326 for work "above and beyond" what the warranty covered. I called the office on 1/10/17 to express my concerns about the long wait for repair work and the service I was receiving but they never called me back. I told the tech on 1/17/17 I wasn't going to pay the $326 until I heard from the office and never heard back. Finally, on 2/17/17 I sent a letter to the office explaining the situation and told them I was not going to pay until I heard from them. I never received a formal response to the letter but someone called me in June of 2017 regarding a past due balance. On that call, I spoke to a woman who told me that Sisler was under new ownership and apologized for all the issues. We agreed to split the total cost of the repairs and I gave her my credit card info over the phone. I had another issue with the system in February of 2018 and called Sisler for service. They were supposed to come that day but never showed up. When I called the office back, the person told me that they discovered I had an outstanding balance and needed to pay before they would send anyone out. I went over the entire ordeal with them over the phone and the new owner pretty much said they had no documentation of any of this and didn't believe me. I ended up getting ahold of Water Furnace corporate and they connected me with another certified dealer that was great. Needless to say, I highly suggest staying away from Sisler at all costs. Last year we had an addition built, and Sisler was the company who installed the heating and air conditioning unit. They installation was professional - the workers were polite, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. When we recently had to have our A/C unit serviced, we decided to call Sisler again. They didn't disappoint. The work was done in a timely manner, and far less than another company had quoted. We are very pleased, both for installation work, and service calls. We're going to stick with Sisler. read more

I agree with John K. Denny Sissler was personable and available when he was selling us our $65,000 system. No matter how hard we try to talk to him after the sale, he won't respond. We took time off work to meet with Denny during construction and he stood us up. Our ductwork is very poorly designed (by Sissler) and after the 5th or 6th service call the tech finally said that there is nothing we can do. We have to live with 5-10 degree fluctuations throughout the upper stairs rooms. That means in the winter, in order to have it be a comfortable 71 for my kids in their playroom, my bedroom has to be close to 80. UNBEARABLE. I installed floor heating in my bathroom but can't use it because that would heat my bedroom even more. They charged us for items during construction that they never put in. We tried to talk to Denny about this but he wouldn't respond. One of the Geothermals leak. They are inefficient and can't be used through the winter. Every spring when I try to turn them on I need to have one refilled because it has leaked over the winter. Sissler has no explanation for this and doesn't stand behind their work. I would warn anyone against using Sissler. read more

Where do I even start.... I would start off by saying I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN. They are a total RIP OFF. They put a new unit in a few years back and the darn thing is a POS. Not to mention our heating bills went up double after this new unit was put in. I WOULD NEVER recommend this company to anyone. We built our house 21 years ago and Sisler installed the HVAC system, within a year the refrigerant leaked out due to a bad brazed joint when they installed the system. 2 years ago they installed another furnace/ac system for us, the refrigerant leaked out again due to another bad brazed joint when they installed they system. In May of 2016 when they "fixed " the system (re-brazed the joint and installed new refrigerant) the service tech told me I owed $210.00 for the fix, I gave him a check before he left. A week later I received a bill for another $135.00! When I called I was told "they added the bill wrong." I had to pay it because I did not receive an invoice, or an invoice marked paid before the service tech left my house. I was told by Beth or Bev, whatever her name was that I owed the money. I paid them but I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I have experienced poor workmanship from them and poor billing practices. Stay away!!!! I would give -4 stars, but this site won't allow it! read more
