I loved this little spot! We stepped off the busy street into a small restaurant with a charming vibe. We ordered from a variety of teas to warm up and ordered a ridiculous amount of dishes for four ladies that were all delicious, but my favorite has to be the chicken khao soi. one of the best thai brunches i've ever had! we came in on a saturday morning and were seated immediately. the crispy roti was incredibly crispy and light. the thai tea pancake was fluffy and we had plenty of thai tea syrup and cut fruit to go with it. the kanoom jeen nam ngew had the most tender pork rib (fall CLEAN off the bone tender), while the broth was SO rich in it's flavor profile. last but not, least the crab fried rice was perfect with a good amount of fresh crab and fragrant wok hei flavor. i just loved how fresh and upscale everything tasted. such a cute, cozy brunch spot overall! read more

The variety on the menu was pretty impressive and they had traditional Thai dishes but also some brunch food, and the fusion of Thai and brunch food. The food quality was okay - I ordered smoked salmon salad, which they put too much dressing and the salmon was a little dry and cut into too small pieces to lose the texture. But I tried my friend's Pad Kee Mao, which was tasty and Kanoom Jeen Nam Ngew looked really authentic. I also liked how Kao Mok Kai Yang was very gorgeous. What I liked the most about this restaurant was the aesthetic of the interior design - there were some portraits on the wall that matches the atmosphere of the restaurant very well and the restroom also had some high-sense paintings on the wall. Ordered the Pad Se Ew and it seemed microwaved. The carrots were super soft, but not quite mushy. On the other hand, the Kai Soi was great. I will definitely be back for that. Be prepared to spend money cause it wasn't cheap. The staff was friendly. read more

I wanted to try the brunch items from Sistory so got delivery the other day. I got the SF scramble, the get up and fry, and the Tom yum soup. The soup was a nice level of sour. The scramble had good chunks of crab. Both were pretty good. The get up and fry though was great - it was delicious with the yellow curry and pieces of meat, I'd definitely want that again. It is a small place, with two outside tables, but we were able to get an inside table when we came here on a Sunday noon. They serve brunch on the weekends so some patrons came early. Not only were the foods beautiful to look at, but they were also delicious. We had their specialty, the Kanoom Jeen Nam Ngew, which reminds me of a spicier version of boat noodle, with rich broth and tender chunks of beef rib, and Pad Ped Moo Krob(crispy pork belly), pad thai, fish tacos(2) and a special of that day, a crab curry(on the side) with vermicelli and fresh chopped vegis. I love that they laid the toppings for the noodles over a banana leaf. The flavor profile of each dish is off the charts, even the standard fare Pad Thai. The Chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly was the dish my taste buds didn't realize it was missing. Wonderfully crunchy broccoli and the best crispy pork belly I've had in ages. Went to Sistory for lunch right when they opened up at 11am on a Tuesday. Cute little spot! Has a small backyard patio as well on a nice day. Had the lunch special that comes with an appetizer(fresh roll), entree (pad kee mao - chicken) and a drink (thai iced coffee). Also had the Tom yum and chicken larb as well as the roti dip. I wanted to try a place I haven't been so I picked this place out. It's a smaller place but nice inside. I don't think they had central heating since they had some small portable heaters on the floor. The server was courteous and helpful. I ordered the spicy basil with pork belly and the peanut veggie dish. Both dishes came out Luke warm. The peanut sauce was nice bad. My spicy basil wasn't spicy and needed some more sauce on it. Service was okay, the house dumplings a starter, arrived after 5 dishes. I enjoyed the fried rice with a choice of protein, chicken. The real winner was the spicy string beans with chicken. I have been following this place on instagram and finally decided to give them a try. Not in person but via UberEats. I ordered - Fried Rice w/ Tofu Panang Curry w/ Tofu Roti Diet Coke Out of all the things I only got the Fried Rice w/ Tofu and Diet Coke. UberEats wasn't to helpful with a refund for the order the receipt on bag said everything except the roti so idk what happened there. The rice was good I had to add my hot saic, I was able to sub the tomatoes for broccolis, until I saw it had a piece of beef in it. I was pretty much enjoying it until I saw that. I would rather try them in person to hopefully avoid these things cause my little sister really wants to try the Thai Tea Pancakes. read more

Went here yesterday for dinner with my family and we order the house made dumplings, pad Thai, chicken satay, Bamee Giew Pu all we very good but the absolute highlight of the dinner was the Secret Noodle soup! HOLY SMOKES that was the best soup I have ever had. The broth alone was so creamy, comforting and just the right amount of heat. I wish I could eat it everyday! We ordered pad see ew with tofu and pad kee maw with tofu, both came pretty fast. The rice noodles were a little over cooked, but the flavors were pretty good! We went there today for the first and last time. I am not sure why this pathetic restaurant received 4 1/2 stars in the first place. The calamari was NOT homemade. It was from the frozen food section of the supermarket and the dipping sauce was sadly made. The pork basil was more like pork saute in the oyster sauce, was so salty and yes you can actually count on how many leaves of basil in the dish (5) as we counted. The Phad Phed Moo Krob was not bad but the chef needed not to put so much fish sauce because once again it was salty. The only thing was perfect was the sunny side egg we ordered to go with the pork basil. If you looking for the authentic ingredients, this is not the place for you. read more

Small and cute Thai place I saw was doing a Berkeley Restaurant Week, didn't end up ordering from that menu and j did ala carte with my friend. So good! I got the kanom jeen dish, wasn't what I was expecting (am originally from Bangkok), I thought it would be the thicker orange soup/curry dish but still hit the spot on comfort and taste. My friend's dish was SO GOOD and she ended up taking it home and the smells of it in my car was savory and fragrant and made us both hungry again for it haha. Ordered the pumpkin curry, mild, with brown rice. Plentiful portions, with a lot of vegetables and tofu. One star off for it being far too spicy to be mild, barely edible for me, and the vegetables and tofu we're in very large pieces- I shouldn't have to cut my curry. Will try them again, but will ask for extra mild if I get curry again. You are forewarned that this is potentially a very spicy Thai restaurant.
