    grilled salmon Cobb salad
    Shanise T.

I came during lunch time and was pleasantly surprised! The service was quick and the servers were very attentive. Everyone helped out. I ordered the salmon Cobb salad and it was great! Salmon was cooked to perfection and they gave a nice size portion. I would say they need more lettuce but that was the only complaint. I would definitely be back!

A family place with good food and comfortable setting. As sick, the service was a bit slow but I'm sure the kitchen was doing the best they could. We all quite enjoyed the food and it gave us time to chat anyway. Open faced crab sandwich and fries.. yum! If you want a cold crab sandwich, you can get that also, but closed with two slices of bread. Eggs and corned beef hash didn't disappoint. They know how to cook hash browns among the best of them! Crispy and yummy! They also know how to make soft eggs when you order them "wet".

The breakfast burrito was perfection! Nice crispy wrap with delicate eggs, salsa, avocado and apple chicken sausage. The side salad was decent but nothing special. Oatmeal was pretty good. The winner was the breakfast burrito. I would def go back for this.

This Restaurant has 2 sides to it, so it's a good size. We went there for breakfast. Nice thick pancakes. Good prices for breakfast. I would come back to try other stuff on the menu. Good customer service. :)

If you're looking for a perfect blend of upscale diner food with neighborhood charm, Duo Grill House is the spot. I've been on the hunt for a great Monte Cristo for a while, and I was blown away by theirs--so much so, I've indulged in it twice this week! The menu offers classic diner dishes, but with an elevated twist that makes everything feel special. The portions are generous, and the prices? You truly get more than what you pay for, which is a rare treat these days. The service here is warm, friendly, and fast--just what you want from a neighborhood favorite. The cafe has a cozy front seating area, and plenty of tables inside, making it perfect whether you want a quick bite or a leisurely meal. The only suggestion I'd make to elevate the atmosphere further is to add a splash of color--some art or a few indoor plants could really brighten things up. But even without that, Duo Cafe has earned its five-star status in my book. The vibe is relaxed, and it feels like a place you can return to over and over again. Highly recommend!

My wife and I came here for lunch during the week. The food was good and pretty reasonably priced for Berkeley. My wife got the eggs benedict with potatoes and I got a burger. The burger was excellent, with great flavor and a very fresh tasting bun. The fries tasted like they came from a McDonald's, which was mind-blowing. Really good! The eggs benedict were well cooked and my wife liked them. The potatoes were very crispy and well made. The service was okay, we were left for a few long periods without refills on our drinks which was annoying given the relative dearth of other customers in the place. But once they saw we were looking for help, they came around to help. The ambiance is good. It's clean and well lit. Feels like it's pretty fresh and not worn in yet, if that makes sense. I'm hoping to come back a few more times to see how it holds up. TL;DR: A nice diner with good food, good prices, and okay service.

Probably a 3.5. Nothing bad at all, but nothing screamed out. It's a diner without the huge portions. The menu is like 5 pages long and runs the gamut of anything you could want, including a whole range of Mexican eats. Inside decor is a diner with red booths and all. A fairly large space so definitely good for groups. They have a few tables in a bare bones parklet outside. We were there for brunch and prices were reasonable and fare was solid. Nothing too crazy, but good. The green chilaquiles were good, very mild, and the veggie scrambler was a nice sized meal with potatoes and toast. Overall, with no wait, this spot was totally a solid spot for outdoor brunch on a Sunday morning when Sam's Log Cabin was 30+ minutes. Again, nothing unique here, but service was quick, it wasn't crowded and prices were middle of then road.

Not bad. Ordered a Duo Combo for brunch, very delicious but it's not pretty friendly for people who come here first

Cool bicultural concept-- Half their menu is Mexican, other half is classic "white American" brunch. The sheer volume on their menu is WILD. If the wait for Solano Junction is too long, Duo is an ok option right down the block. All-day brunch! (as of March 2022) For COVID safety purposes, staff wear masks and seating is socially-distanced. We dropped by late afternoon on a weekend... Completely empty. Service was slow. Even being one of two parties there, my bf and I waited probably over 45 mins for 3 items. CHICKEN AND WAFFLES: Yall... This is not their strong suit. In what world does chicken and waffles mean TENDIES............. Very average waffles and the tendies tasted like they were of the frozen variety My bf liked their Egg Florentine Benedict, pretty standard. Open Face Crab Dungeness Sandwich was very ok, the accompanying salad was mediocre. Portions are kind of small... This is somewhere I'd go if I was REALLY craving brunch food during a non-brunch hour, maybe not my first choice for brunch.

Crispy fish dipped in delicious tartar sauce.

I ordered the trout and eggs and really enjoyed it, especially the side of veggie mix. My boyfriend got the chilaquiles and was actually surprised by how much he liked them. Overall aside from the service, we enjoyed the meal and would still consider coming back. As for the ambiance it definitely had a cabin feel which fits the name. We were seated outdoors and since it wasn't too cold, it was perfect. There was plenty of outdoor seating and the whole place had a very homey comfortable feel.

Most recently I finally was able to give them a try. So glad we did! We came around lunch time and sat at a booth. There were other worker bees grabbing a quick lunch. The sandwiches come with a side, so one plate we did fries with a house-made aioli and the other plate, their quinoa kale salad. Delicious. Such hearty portions! The bread is so fresh, the meat juicy and ample, and flavors just right. We also ordered beer on tap, shoutout to Oakland United, and tried their house-made hot sauce that they also sell by the bottle. Would love to come back to try brunch here too. I also saw a patron ordering the quinoa kale salad with fried chicken, and yes, that's the vibe! Unfortunately the food was just as bad and overpriced as the first time, I really don't understand how this place is so well reviewed. We both ordered 310 Burgers, one on the regular brioche bun and one on a lettuce wrap. The lettuce wrap came in two steamed, wilted pieces of iceberg, while the brioche bun was untoasted, foamy-textured and soggy. Both medium burgers had the consistency of boiled meatballs. The bacon jam was decent, but the overall experience was wildly unappetizing. We also both got plain fries, which were somehow greasy and dry at the same time, and instantly turned stale as they cooled down. We really hoped for this place because it's conveniently located, and all the other decent burger spots nearby have closed, but sadly we won't be giving 310 Eatery a third try.

Their menu showed items like waffles and croissant French toast, which sounded really promising. I decided to try the croissant French toast and really wanted to like it. The croissant itself had potential, but the egg mixture was very heavy and lacked some of the warm flavors you typically expect in French toast, like cinnamon or vanilla. Even with the berries and syrup, it still leaned very egg-forward. I also ordered a side of bacon for some extra protein, and that was actually cooked really well. For drinks, I tried the strawberry latte with the vanilla bean soft top. I initially expected more of a coffee-forward drink, but it was much sweeter and reminded me more of an elevated strawberry milk. The space itself is cute and gives more of a social, aesthetic hangout vibe than a traditional brunch spot. Parking can also be a bit tricky. There's free parking in the Trader Joe's garage nearby, but it's unclear whether parking there while dining at the café is allowed. Overall, I liked the concept and atmosphere more than the actual food during this visit.
