Our dog Poppy is a rescue with an unknown background (as many rescues are). We love her like a…read morechild, and she is our whole world. We have always wanted/still want the longest happiest life for her. Unfortunately, Poppy was incredibly reactive. It was mostly to dogs, and sometimes to people, and she was on the verge of causing damage to someone. We worked tirelessly for two years with her. Twice a day walking/training, going to training classes, having private training, reading books/watching videos, just trying to help her have good experiences and associations, so that she could experience more of life and have more fun (safely). Despite a great food drive & being incredibly smart, Poppy's reactivity even seemed to get worse no matter how hard we worked with her or what we tried. After this worsening, we knew that something had to give or Poppy could end up hurting someone or having to be locked away/euthanized. Bailey/Ideal Canine was our choice & saving grace to help our pup. We were taken with their dedication to dogs that so many others have given up on. We found that many trainers will not take aggressive dogs, so what are owners supposed to do? Give up on them? That wasn't an option for the pup we love so dearly, so we decided that Bailey's 6-week program would be right for Poppy and after our first meeting and conversations, we were even more confident that our dog wasn't a lost cause and could still be loved and helped into living her best life! Bailey is incredibly dedicated to the welfare and safety of all the dogs she works with and Poppy not only LOVES her, but it is so evident that she also feels safe and cared for with Bailey. Bailey worked with our pup and us, setting all parties up for success and answering all questions we had (which was quite a few). Bailey was never stumped by our queries and her experience/knowledge shows in the happy dogs she has helped live their best lives. Bailey not only teaches you how to handle & train your dog, she explains how everything she does is based on how dogs act, respond, & understand the world around them. She explains dog behavior specific to your pup and lets you know what different dog body language means which is supremely helpful in knowing your dog's thresholds and moods. During the mid/later parts of the 6 week training, our dog was hanging out peacefully on outdoor dining patios, having off leash freedoms, & co-existing happily with many other dogs-all of which would have been unthinkable to us prior to her time with Bailey. We are still in the early stages of Poppy's transition back home, but I have never seen her so confident & happy. One of our big struggles used to be barking out the windows and now, that behavior is non-existent. Our pup can now pass other dogs just steps away without reacting at ALL and feel confident knowing that we have her back and she knows what to do. Bailey has set us all up for success and given our pup a longer happy life and we are supremely grateful. Additionally, we can't wait to take advantage of the great perks that all of Bailey's clients can get like in-home boarding, group walks/training sessions and private training when we feel like a refresher.

We feel much more confident taking our girl into situations that were previously uncomfortable. After board and train with Bailey, we feel like we have the knowledge and skills to deal with those situations without making mistakes that might make the things worse. We also feel like our girl feels more confident.

I adopted a young border collie mix from the Humane society of Reno…read more I learned he had been adopted and returned twice before. I thought had bad can he be. Well, I found out. He escaped from my closed in patio 8 times. Walking him was a test of patients, every little thing distracted him. Other dogs were a major problem; seems he was mentally challenged by them. Holding him back took everything I had. I am disabled and walking can be a challenge for me. I had to do something if I was going to keep him. I called multiple dog training facilities, the Only one to call me back was Stephen from Real K9 Solutions. He took Shadow for 3 weeks. When the dog came back, I was able walk him with a loose leash. He no longer attempted to escape. On walks other dogs were still a challenge, but nowhere near what it was. I can walk him today and have him sit when other dogs are near, something I would never have been able to do prior to his training. Today I have decided to keep Shadow. In fact, he is quietly laying net to me. If not for Stephen and Real K9 Solutions it would have been return number 3 for Shadow. I can't recommend Stephen and Real K9 Solutions highly enough.

Steve came in and instantly made an impact. Every single session we could see our puppy Willow getting better and better. He has a way with Dogs where they truly want to listen to him. He also is very good at explaining everything which makes it easier when you have to train your puppy outside of training sessions. I would highly recommend Steve as your puppy trainer!

He had been acting out of sorts at daycare too. I expressed my worries to Heidi upon check in and she understood he was still going through a tough time without his buddy. She told me she would indicate that he was a special needs dog, who may need some extra care and attention. I really appreciated her going out of the way to put my mind at ease for our trip. I checked in a few days into our vacay and was told he was not eating like normal and asked if they could try some chicken broth and pumpkin to encourage him to eat. I told the staff on the phone that he had been more finicky with eating even with new wet foods. They would keep an eye on him and let me know if anything changed. I got a call from the staff the day before pick up and was told my dog hadn't eaten in two days but energy at daycare was normal. They offered to try and hand-feed him. When I picked him up, they said they were able to get him to eat some so he must've been getting lonely and wanted extra attention. I have really appreciate all of their staff's help in getting our dog adjusted to the loss of our other dog and for their support and understanding during his first solo stay. Thank you!

He was so docile on the drive home and slept the whole night after I fed him dinner; he seemed to have completely enjoyed his playtime which was a welcome activity since he was pining for it all week. Overall, I think my pup enjoyed his time at Daycare.
