When it was time to replace our six-year-old son's mattress, we researched our options. We found Sit 'n Sleep in Cerritos through Yelp. The comments are generally very positive. We got our son's first mattress when he graduated from his crib around age two, so we purchased a twin-size frame for him. The mattress we got him at the time was almost an after thought, since he only weighed about 20 lbs at the time and had no opinion regarding the feel of the mattress. In addition, it was probably going to go through its share of bed wetting nights anyway. It did not provide much support for an adult, and it only cost around $100. Now he's six-years-old and full of opinion, he asked for a new mattress after he slept on our mattress a few times. Kevin greeted us when we walked into the store, but he was not overbearing. He allowed our son to try as many mattresses as he wanted, and this six-year-old knew what he wanted. He was able to immediately decide whether a mattress was either too soft or too firm right away. After making the rounds throughout the display room--probably trying out 15 mattresses, he knew exactly what he wanted. Kevin respected his choice, and by then, they were almost buddies. It turned out that Kevin used to be a school teacher, and he promptly pulled out a Shel Silverstein book for him to read. He even taught us some math tricks for memorizing the times table. When we were about to pay, he gave us an additional discount because that particular mattress was not on sale, and he didn't want us to feel short-changed. He didn't even have to do that, because we would have purchased the mattress at the regular price anyway. It was just an amazing experience with Kevin. HAPPY 2014! And what better way to start the New Year than with a with a 5 star rating! My husband and I were raised to think that a mattress is a mattress, nothing special about one from another. And to spend over $500 on a mattress would have been considered sacrilegious. Well, having slept on rocks for ages and continuously waking up with back aches and pains, we decided to go shopping for a new mattress "tomorrow" and of course "tomorrow" never seemed to materialize. Finally, after month's of aches an pains we forced ourselves to go "look" for a mattress with no real plans of buying one. Now, I've never been a fan of sales men and I dreaded the I idea of having to deal with a pushy sales person (which is one of the reason why we waited to so long to go shopping for a new bed). Boy, have sales men come a long way. We were fortunate enough to run into Kevin who was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Kevin was extremely helpful as he guided us between an array of mattresses that would suit our particular needs. He explained the pros and cons between each and gave his professional opinion. Most importantly he did not push the more expensive mattress and instead encouraged us to go with the least expensive one since we really couldn't tell the difference between the two. Not only was Kevin extremely knowledgeable, and professional; he was friendly and patient with our testings. We also realized you can't put a price tag on a good nights rest and eventually decided to invest in a good quality bed that was perfect for my husband and I. Even though before we went inside the store we sat in the car and made a pact not to buy anything, but thanks to Kevin we now have to force ourselves out of bed (it's sooooo darn comfy!!). We had it delivered the next day, it was quickly set up and we now have a new bed we both enjoy sleeping in, and we have only Kevin to thank for. So, if you find yourself in need of a new bed and need a few tips I definitely recommend Kevin. He is the best!!!! read more

I am 8 months pregnant and we moved to a new place. I had ordered mattresses from Casper, but was suddenly told they were on backorder- not once mentioned in the ordering process or during the first phone call I made about them. I called sit n sleep in a panic, I was going to be sleeping on a floor. They had the mattresses in stock and ready for delivery by our move in date. They even made sure I wasn't paying more than I needed to. After Casper let me cancel my mattresses, they truly saved the day. The worst customer service I've ever been too. I waited and waited while the store manager chat and chat with this couple. She could have said excuse me I'll be right there with you. but nope. To top it all I did not make it to the cut off hour for delivery the next day. My frustration, waited for Monday delivery, and specifically requested 4 to 5 pm delivery as I'm working full time, the delivery came at 1pm. I decided to cancel the entire order after I was told that they could not deliver later this afternoon. Refund would take 8 to 10 business days just to get my money back whom I paid using my debit card. So, last year we bought a mattress from Sit and Sleep. This month it started to degrade to the point that both of us couldn't sleep in the same bed. We were still under the great warranty, so I went in and they made an appointment to have someone come out to take pictures of the mattress (tag included). I called and they said they just sent us a letter stating that we qualify for a new bed. We were expecting all types of restrictions, fees, and other limitations. We walked in and I said we were here for a warranty exchange. They said pick a bed. They showed us many to choose from. We found a nice firm Serta Black mattress. (I think). No hassles, no problems, he said you're done, I'll take care of the paperwork. P.S. When we bought the mattress, a little bit later we bought a headboard and footboard. They ended up not fitting our bed well, so we returned them, and were told that we had a store credit. David, I believe the assistant manager, said yes you do, we'll make a check and send it to you! Came in here just to look, David approached me very friendly and asking if he could help me and my bf with anything. I said no just looking, he then proceeded to talk to us about the temper pedic mattress, said to try these ones out and explaining how they work. I came here several months ago to replace an old bed of mine. With this place being near my place, it was easily the 1st choice on my list of places to do some research. My 1st day i was looking at mattresses i came here, Ashley's Furniture, and Easy Life Furniture store. Out of the 3 places, Sit n Sleep was the only one that actually had a guy come up to me and take me around. He spent the time to talk to me as i tried out almost all mattresses in that store. We joked around and I already had a good idea on what i wanted. Now i just needed to do some price checks. The 2nd day of my research, i checked out a Tempurpedic store in a mall, Orthos Mattresses, IKEA, and this place again. And I found a real good deal in Orthos Mattresses. So when i went back to this Sit n Sleep, i found that same bed with a slightly higher price than what i found in Orthos. While i was laying on that same bed in Sit n Sleep that i found in Orthos, the same guy that helped me the 1st day came to me again and offered me a better price, but was still a tad higher than my budget. And I was still indecisive on what i wanted, so i decided to do one more day of bed research. On my 3rd day, i went to Living Spaces furniture and after trying out their beds. And after trying out a few beds, i made up my mind that i wanted the one from Sit n Sleep. So when i came back to try out the bed once more with my roommate, that SAME Associate came back to help us! And when i told him that the bed was still a tad over our budget, he gave me an even better deal, which I gladly accepted.
