We were struggling with what furniture to buy for my teenage son's new bedroom. We were going around in circles about the bed size, whether to buy a separate chaise for gaming - couldn't seem to make the dimensions work with the room size. What a NIGHTMARE! I am giving it 1 stars because I did have a great shopping experience while purchasing my mattress here. However, I am taking away four stars because of the horrible customer service I received from Sit N Sleep customer service. I purchased an expensive luxury mattress 4 years ago, and paid around $3,900.00 plus tax for what I was told was a high quality Stearns and Foster mattress that came with an excellent warranty. This mattress is now caving in, and is giving my husband and I horrible back aches daily. I thought it would be a simple process to call and get it switched out, after all Sit N Sleep is supposed to be a Reputible company that stands by there product. WRONG!!!! So here is how it goes: You have to wait a few weeks for an "Inspector" to come out and measure the height of the mattress with a piece of string, and unless it's is caving in over an 1 1/2" (with no weight on it) then your claim will be denied. Our issue is when you sit/lay on it it completely drops down to where you can almost touch the bed frame on the sides. Apparently, this doesn't constitute as an issue covered by warranty. Even though the whole point of a mattress is support you while you are actually LAYING on it! Funny enough, we purchased a much cheaper mattress for our daughter at IKEA around the same time 4 years ago for only $800 and her mattress is in great condition! Do not let them sell you on their overpriced mattresses, because if something goes wrong you are on your own, and now we will have to go buy another mattress! My last mattress lasted me 15 years, this one only 4! read more

Kat and Michael were the two individuals that assisted me (on different days) with finding the right mattress within my budget. I walked into sit n sleep in Studio city on Monday evening about 7. I was immediately greeted by Mark. He was so welcoming and nice. He had me use the bed match machine to determine what would be the best bed for my husband and I. I felt a little silly at first but it was awesome. Once we had my color,Mark showed me beds in several price ranges. I told him my budget and never once did ge try to push me into a higher bracket. He had me try lots of beds while talking to me about what helps or interferes in my sleep. My 17 year old daughter was with me and she was enjoying the beds as well. Eventually we picked a mattress and an adjustable frame.( I can't wait to sleep in it,) Mark not only made the whole experience a dream, he put together a price package that was great. My boyfriend and I decided it was time to become real adults and buy a quality mattress. We first went next door and had one of the worst customer service experiences to date. Thank god Sit 'n Sleep was a few feet away from that disaster of a store next to them. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Kathleen. She asked us what kind of mattress we preferred. I told her that I had stayed at a Ritz Carlton and noticed that the mattress was a Sealy Posturepedic. I loved that mattress, at the time. She took me upstairs to show me the very same mattress and was completely honest about the fact that it is a good mattress-a Toyota Camry, if you will. My boyfriend immediately blurted out, "Well, show us the Ferrari!" Kathleen ended up showing us an Aireloom mattress-the "Ferrari". Let me tell you it was...AMAZING! We tried a couple different models. The mattress we chose is absolutely beautiful. Kathleen was incredibly helpful. She even got the price down and threw in an amazing mattress cover. Moved into a new place. Uh oh. No beds. Where could I pick out a bed and get it delivered the next day? Macy's-No. Sears-No. Freakin' Ikea?? No way. Walked into the Studio City Sit N' Sleep store. The store itself is fine but their Delivery service is the worst ever. Not only were they late delivering the mattress, the last on the list, but they even bother to ring my doorbell to let me know they were even there. I got a message from a third party that went to my cell phone voicemail which I didn't hear and as a result, they left after waiting for 15 minutes. I ran out and saw the truck leaving and flagged them down only to be ignored as they drove right past me as I didn't exist! They screwed up my delivery last year too making me wait all day to never even get it and then had to wait another week. Today, they made no accommodations for me and now I have to wait till tomorrow for an afternoon delivery which messes up my plans...I hate them and Buyer beware!!!!! I NEVER thought I'd be writing a gushing review of a Sit 'N Sleep after suffering through decades listening to their commercials, but miracles really do happen! For years I've had a recurring nightmare where I'm jolted awake after hearing a monster's voice intoning: "YOU'RE KILLING ME LARRY" or "SIT 'N SLEEP WILL BEAT ANYONE'S ADVERTISED PRICE OR YOUR MATTRESS IS FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...." and when I come to my senses I'm sweating like a monkey, my head is caught in the box spring and my dog is licking my face. But recently we decided it was time for us to say goodbye to our 15-year-old Spring Air mattress and the 17 million dust mites living in it -- I'm gonna' miss those little land crustaceans -- we became so friendly with them through the years that we knew them all by name. *sniff* I hope they're in a better place now. The Studio City showroom is large, neat, clean, well-laid-out and contains a multifarious cornucopia of everything any person would ever want to sleep on. And it has beds too! You can bounce around from bed to bed faster than Charlie Sheen at a Hooker Convention -- trying different things out to see what your most comfortable Rapid Eye Movement slab will be. There are foam mattresses that imprison you in their synthetic clutches so that moving around when you're in them is a laborious undertaking....I can only imagine those dreams where your legs are moving but you can't run in one of these babies. But they're so comfortable, you really feel like you're back in the womb....the bed-womb. Or you can opt for a foam top layer with a more traditional mattress-thing-a-ma-bobber underneath, or if you like, just an old-school mattress. The manager of the store is "Arsen," and he was spectacular from start to finish. A walking encyclopedia of everything bedstuff-related, there was no pressure in his game, no L.A. tude in his frame. He is friendly and funny, yet serene and focused....he was a one-man Socrates of his subject and guided us through the whole process like a magical tugboat captain rescuing a stranded cruise ship from Somali pirates. Once we'd made our choice (Aireloom, woo hoo) and completed our transaction, everything went smoothly from the robo-call to confirm our delivery, to the 1 hour warning call the day of the delivery, the friendly and efficient delivery guys who delivered and assembled the bed and our great pleasure in beholding the new bed, headboard and accessories glistening in place -- solid, sparkling and brand new. Everything has amazing warranties. They stand behind their products! And yes, they took our old mattress, boxspring and frame away at no charge. Folks, I'm STOKED by this place! Go there! read more

Had a great experience in the showroom, picking out our mattress. The whole buying process was easy! When our bed arrived, we were ecstatic to see it set up. The two guys that arrived put the frame we received toghether, and then placed the mattress on top. A few weeks later, as my boyfriend and I are getting into bed, we hear a loud *whack*. As we are sitting on the bed, it starts to depress in the middle, by the head board. Turns out the delivery guys forgot to put on both the headboard support, and the middle support. Having a king sized bed, those two supports are extremely important! Now we have a huge crack in our headboard, with the middle support beam that runs under the middle of the bed, sagging when ever you sit on the bed. It looks like the whole thing is going to collapse. Called customer service, explained the exact problem, and they say that they can have the replacement parts out here in a week. Fine, what can you do. Week passes, and the delivery guys come out. Turns out they didn't even bring the replacement headboard. Called customer service again, only to find out it will be another week before the headboard will be in stock, and then they will schedule a time to come out again. All because they didn't build the frame correctly the first time they came out. read more

Me and my husband really needed a new mattress because our old mattress was absolutely ruined by my old roommate who had bed bugs and decided to keep it a secret while using my mattress, then gave it back to me and I didn't find out about the situation until she moved out months later and I saw the bugs all over her new bed. That being said we found them on our mattress and threw it away immediately and were sleeping on an air mattress. The first time we went in we were ignored, but that was fine because we wanted to test out the beds on our own without a sales pitch. The second time we were helped by a very nice lady whose suggestions were actually good for us. The delivery people were very rude, but I think they're not to do with the store directly so I won't fault them for that. When we called the store to say our frame was missing they said it had not been included on our ticket, though we had understood we had everything we'd need when we made the purchase.
