I don't know anything about lawn maintenance so what I really like is there is always someone there to answer all of my questions. They help me pick out the right products and explain to me what I need to do to get the best results. About a month ago I decided just for fun to check out a couple of big box stores. I won't leave their names because it really doesn't matter. When I entered the stores I went to the area where I wanted to just look at a few different items. The results were the same in both stores after 15 to 20 minutes not one single employee approached me. Even worse in the second store I went to three employees actually walked right by me not saying a word to me. If you want quality products and great service at a reasonable price check out Panetta's. I go to the Westland location but they also have a second location in Taylor.

If you purchase a 50 50 mix from this company, you will not see how bad it is until it rains. If this company says it strains it 50 50 mix, then it should find another strainer...

The potted lavender plants were nice size. I didn't want too large. I prefer slow growing and minimal size plants. The employees helped me find the plant in the last greenhouse and recommended how to plant them. It has been just over a week and the lavender is bearing blooms and some flowers. The deer haven't eaten them yet. I am very happy for the $10 lavender pots and the results so far. Highly recommend both establishment and plants provided.

They also had Proven Winners in larger pots for annuals at $7.00. even had a few good sell items. But the selection of light weight pots were almost none. The others were high priced. They have lots of tempting items for the garden and walls but they were much higher than a few years ago. You can blame tariffs but it could be adding to the profit margin more since some are doing that. Not much service and if you pay with a card, extra is charged. I do like supporting local businesses and it is nice to have a smaller footprint garden center but I am glad I was only buying for an apartment balcony.

There are lots of little sheds on the property with everything from annuals to perennials to memorial stones to sale markdowns that are the bomb. In addition, to renew the flower bed by removing existing gardening stones and soil, replace with rich new new gardening soil, install new plants & an ornamental tree, and place fresh mulch in the flower bed. As for the people that I dealt with, ALL were very nice to the individual. From the sales/scheduler/biller/facilitator, to the designer, and each member of the work crew. And the plants themselves were top notch (and all at full retail pricing). As for the rest (i.e.: the job itself, the quality of materials, quality the work, the attention to detail, communication with the customer and between management and the crew, professionalism, work ethic, follow-up, overall satisfaction with the experience, etc.), I'll refrain from posting the 500 word review that I wrote, and let the rating speak for itself. Simply put, the experience was not what I had expected from a company with a 30 year history in the community. None of this should come as a surprise, as there were issues at every stage. Again...Nice people (the reason for a 3 star, versus a 2 star review). Maybe I just caught them on the wrong year/decade.

Summer is the best time to visit for a wide variety of plants, flowers, and herbs. Ken's closes in late June and reopens for the fall in mid-September. There isn't as much of a selection in the fall, mostly mums and pumpkins.

I was able to pick out a beautiful patio pot and he even delivered it to my mother's home. I don't live in the area and it sure was nice to be able to shop the local garden center as if I was actually at the store, and to have them delivered............I will always call 7 mile garden center for any plants/outdoor flowers for my mother. I really want to shout out Keena and Barb at the Livonia Michigan location. They gave me exceptional customer service! They showed no attitude and a lot of patience, even though my ordering process took a long time and they helped with smiles on their faces. They even went beyond what I expected by calling the delivery service so that roofing supplies would arrive on time for my project. They are true examples of what great customer service should be! I generally get good customer service at Home Depot, but these ladies went the extra mile and they should know it didn't go unnoticed.

Story time. Earlier…read morein the year, we made the observation that our aging doors were not sealing as well as they should. We had tried a few simple home solutions, weather stripping and adjustments to the hinges. We had some slight improvement, but it became clear the doors were in need of service. We had received recommendations to contact home depot and request an evaluation. The estimator cost forty dollars. He came out and they've provided us with useful information about our home. He left us feeling pretty good, even went so far as to offer that they could rehang the same size doors in the space, and that it might be of interest to save our trim because it was obviously high quality and expensive. Enter "Luna." Luna is the upsell agent that works inside home depot for the ordering and installation process. She called while we were on the road. We weren't able to have a complete conversation, but what she did impart was that the doors would need to be custom ordered. This created some confusion. Over the series of the next six emails, I asked, why. Each time the answer I got back was "trust me bro." Finally, I stated that the estimator had clearly given us different information and asked for the measurements. The terse reply I received was that the measurements are for in store use only. And would not be shared. Literally "trust me bro." So I'm out $40 for a bogus estimate that I didn't actually receive. I've taken time out of my busy schedule to allow someone into my home with the promise to do work for me. And i've received nothing. I can see why home depot has a two star rating from this location. Fortunately there is a Lowe's nearby. And I can always file for fraud protection on my card. I will also contact the better business bureau and the state of michigan to report that I was denied an estimate in writing for work.
