You don't run into that combination often, especially when you're wandering around trying to remember the difference between "full sun," "partial sun," and "Texas sun," which is basically its own category. And don't get me started on the pronunciation of the some of the plants I looked at... LOL The selection at Moon Valley is incredible. If you're trying to turn your backyard into a personal paradise, this is the place. They've got everything from statement trees like the Texas Mountain Laurel (which I'm convinced is the botanical equivalent of a luxury car) to colorful shrubs and bright, cheerful plants that make your yard look like it actually has its life together. There are so many trees there, so its a gimmie they will have someone for everyone. The staff walked me through care tips, placement ideas, and even helped me load everything up without making me feel like I was about to drop a plant worth more than my truck. They made the whole experience easy, enjoyable, and honestly kind of fun. I left with great plants and zero stress, which is rare, because usually when I buy plants, I'm already apologizing to them in advance for their future. If you're anywhere near McKinney and want quality plants backed by people who truly know their stuff, Moon Valley Nursery is the place. The crew started on Monday and finished the entire project in three days. They worked hard, were respectful of our property, and were especially careful while working near our pool. I really appreciated that they cleaned up at the end of each day and left the area looking neat. Jason checked in several times throughout the project, and I even saw him working alongside the crew at different points, which says a lot. The landscaping here looks terrible and Haynes has been on property for a year. I asked who makes the landscape choices here and was told it's the "landscape committee" + guidance from Haynes. This is the plantings they have in 2 ugly urns they have at the entrance to our neighborhood. No flowers on the planting, never has had any. Looks like giant overgrown weed. If this is the type of landscape Haynes thinks looks good, there is a serious issue! Looks worse than the entrance to a cheap apartment complex & Haynes should be advising on what would actually look nice for this caliber of property. Further, their crews have gotten lazy since getting this neighborhood's business & just come and blow leaves around. Guess they think this is their ATM.

We ordered A LOT (25 cubic yards) of compost for our property. When we went to use it, we realized the compost was nowhere near finished, and it hadn't been screened even once. Our compost was filled with large leaves, big sticks/twigs, and trash. At first, I really thought they accidentally gave us mulch. This is compost that's advertised as being ideal for top dressing lawns. I tried reaching out to Living Earth to come to a resolution, and I received no response despite multiple attempts. We'll be needing large amounts of compost at least 2x/year for lawn maintenance, and we'll certainly be getting it elsewhere moving forward.

They just show up and call you right before they come. The couple times I did call and I think I spoke to the owner he does not know how to provide customer service. He was irritated with my questions. I just wanted to be on a schedule to get my tree replaced. They got my money already. This place is super expensive. I do love my tree though.
