First time back in Greensburg in 4 years & stopped again at Sittays. The Sleek was so good last time, I had it again. Got it was garlic sauce on the side. Also added side of grilled chicken, which actually was on the side it was like a full plate of grilled chicken. So I definitely had a leftover box to take home in an entire second mail the next day. Service is always friendly. They have a credit card reader they bring to your table when you pay so it's pretty quick to check out. When I arrive there were only three other tables but by the time I left around 7 o'clock the restaurant was full and they were also having many takeout orders. I definitely recommend it if you like Mediterranean and Syrian food! read more

This review pains me as I enjoy food not common to this area. I am a foodie and enjoy trying new things. Don't get me wrong in what I'm about to say, the food was great! The service was good! The pricing was good ! My problem is , I discovered ants in my drink! Kinda takes your taste buds out of the game when your brain says you drank bugs! Brought this to our waitress attention and she gave me another glass of of soda , that I had no intention of drinking. So we pressed on as the food was good. The waitress brought a sky tab for payment and brought more ants to the table. I called the waitress over and she apologized and took this to the owner or manager and came back to us with offering free baklava! The person in charge couldn't be bothered to come and address the situation even as we were the only people in the restaurant. I won't ever go back, even though the food was good. After standing up, I noticed VEVO insect lights plugged into every outlet around the dining room. So they know they have issues , Apparently Mediterraneans don't have people skills! Sorry! A very small and inviting place that seems to be quite busy on a Friday night. We had a reservation and I'm glad we did! The service was great and the people that work there are very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and I especially loved the appetizer platter with hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, etc. So fresh and delicious. I had the chicken kabob with rice pilaf and an amazing tzatziki sauce. My only complaint was the pita was a little cold and dry. I love a homemade, warm pita, so that was a miss for me, but this place offers some very much needed variety! My husband and I tried this restaurant again thinking maybe they just had a bad day in the kitchen last time. The food had good flavor, however it was all very dry. The meat was dry. The pita was cold and dry. For the price, I found it just average. Leena's in a Shell gas station in Murrysville is much better, you get more food and the prices are better. But once you step inside, you feel it -- you know there is care here. And once the food arrives, there is absolutely no doubt about it: this place is something special. We started with the appetizer platter, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the best I've ever had. The grape leaves were perfection -- tender, delicate, and layered with flavor. No bitterness, no heaviness, just beautifully seasoned, comforting bites that tasted like they were made with tradition and love. Then came the falafel, which truly shocked me. I've never been a huge fan of falafel because it's usually dry, dense, and in desperate need of drowning in sauce just to get it down. Not here. These were moist, tender, and overflowing with flavor. Honestly -- the best falafel I have ever had. The entire platter was so fresh, so vibrant, and so alive that my entire family kept going back for "just one more bite"... and then one more again. Next up were the pita wraps, and my gyro was an absolute work of art. Overflowing with perfectly seasoned meat and tucked into soft, warm pita, it was generously filled to the brim -- no skimping here. It makes perfect sense why they charge a small sharing fee because one could easily be split between two people. That said, I strongly recommend getting your own... and then taking half home for later (if you have the willpower). My sister ordered the sleek with shrimp, and WOW. I'm typically not a fan of sautéed greens -- it's usually a texture thing for me -- but this completely changed my mind. The shrimp were tender and perfectly cooked, and the greens were flavorful, balanced, and beautifully seasoned. Even as a self-proclaimed non-fan, I was blown away. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the heart behind the counter. The ladies in the kitchen were clearly cooking with love and pride. You can taste the tradition in every bite. Our server was a bit quiet at first, but she quickly warmed up, became very helpful, and offered a recommendation that turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire meal: the seasonal Pumpkin Mamonia. Now let me explain what mamonia is for those who don't know -- because this dessert deserves its moment. Mamonia is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert, similar to a semolina pudding. It's warm, creamy, gently sweet, and infused with spices and aromatic notes like cinnamon and nutmeg. The pumpkin version at Sittay's takes this already-comforting dish and turns it into a fall masterpiece -- velvety, lightly spiced, and incredibly comforting without being overly sweet. It was, in my book, a home run... or the Mediterranean equivalent of one. Unique, cozy, elegant, and absolutely unforgettable. If it's on the menu, do not skip it. As for the baklava, the flavor was tremendous. For anyone unfamiliar, baklava is made of delicate layers of flaky phyllo dough, filled with chopped nuts (often pistachios or walnuts), then finished with a fragrant honey or sugar syrup. It's crisp on top, sticky-sweet inside, and the perfect finale to a Mediterranean meal. My only small surprise was the portion size; for $7, the piece felt a bit smaller compared to how generous everything else was throughout the lunch. That said, the seasonal baklava was divine in flavor -- rich, fragrant, and beautifully made. At the moment, Sittay's does not offer cocktails or wine. There is a tap house next door, but beer wasn't what appealed to my family that day. A simple white wine -- perhaps a Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc -- would be a lovely addition and a perfect complement to their vibrant Mediterranean dishes, especially for indulgent holiday lunches with family. All in all, Sittay's is a hidden gem in Greensburg -- one of those rare places where the food, the heart, and the hospitality come together effortlessly. Make the trip. Take the time. I'm middle eastern , so my expectations are high when dining in a ME restaurant, but Sittay's did not disappoint. The kibbee was tender and delicious. The appetizer platter is amazing-- tabouli, hummus, grape leaves and the best baba ganoush I've ever tasted. The portions were so large, but Middle Eastern people never let you go away hungry. I have never had anything I've disliked when I've visited and I've been here a few times. Do not sleep on the garlic sauce, ever. The potato mtafia with the sauce... you're welcome. One of my very favorite things is the sleek plate. They're always kind, prompt, you never feel rushed and it honestly kind of feels like you stepped right into their home kitchen to share a meal. The lamb was incredibly fresh--honestly, so good that even the tzatziki (which was excellent) wasn't needed. The rice was seasoned just right, full of flavor without being overpowering. This was an unreal food experience! I have traveled extensively all over the US, including Hawaii. Tucked away in the humble town of Greensburg you will find a lovely lady in the kitchen cooking homemade food. The young ladies who were working for her as waitresses where on spot, they didn't miss a beat. I had the spanakopita and humus which was super filling and so tasty. My adult son is coming to visit me next month, and I will certainly bring him to Sittay's. This restaurant is not to be passed by!! They even won an award for best restaurant 2025. For Mediterranean food in Westmoreland County this is the place to go. A great way to sample things is their Appetizer Platter. You get their baba ghanoush, falafel, tabouleh, stuffed grape leaves and my favorite, their hummus served with pitas. The waitress was super nice and the service was quick and efficient. To start off, walking in, we were greeted immediately! The restaurant was delightfully decorated and extremely clean including the restrooms. We were asked if it was our first visit, which we informed our server that is was, and she explained everything on the menu and even suggested few things. We had the appetizer platter, lamb kabob, chicken shawarma and pistachio baklava. Everything down to the flat bread was absolutely delicious. Only suggestion is to warm up the flat bread. We chose to eat family style, getting 2 vegetarian and 2 protein platters, with some extra sides. These were great options to taste the whole menu, and was happy to see such vegetarian friendly and GF options as well! Tabouli and meat grape leaves were top favorites. My family raved about the hummus days after-rich & creamy with no grit like other hummus. In house garlic aioli is also a must. I don't live in Greensburg but it seems like this is the only Mediterranean restaurant in the area. My brother and his fiancee had never tried this type of food before, so we all went here for dinner one night. I have had this type of food myself quite a few times in different places and although I do like it, it rarely blows me away. The food tends to be pretty standard. That said, Sittay's does cook everything well so you won't be disappointed. We shared an appetizer platter and I got a beef wrap. Brother loved what he ordered. The chicken I got was juicy with great flavor. Service was excellent. Went here a month ago and got the Kibbi and it was dry, cold, and not great. It was closer to the end of the night and I'm assuming they make It ahead of time and it sat out and they tried throwing it in a microwave for 30 seconds? Not sure. I will not be getting it again. Not traditional Mediterranean AT ALL w how things are preapred, put together or how they tasted. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could just because it wasnt terrible necessarily. The food is ok but highly disappointing if you have a lot of experience with Mediterranean. The menu is very limited. We ordered the Gyro Wrap but they were out of gyro meat so we got a chicken wrap instead. Everything is way overpriced in my opinion, ESP the Baklava Pistachio. Today, I went to this establishment with my boyfriend, who swears by Mediterranean food. The second we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and were given a table to sit at. The restaurant is quaint but it is still spacious enough to not feel claustrophobic. It is also very clean and the has a modern look to it. The young waitress was very kind and attentive. She immediately brought us our drinks and took our orders. I had the Chicken Shawarma Wrap and it was delicious! Warm, crispy, fresh, with a bit of a tang. My boyfriend got the Chicken Kabob with pilaf rice and tahini sauce. He LOVED it! The rice was made to perfection. It was savory, hardy, and very flavorful! The grilled chicken was very juicy and the grill marks were top notch! This restaurant is best for lunch and dinner. It is very casual and the service is fast!
