I got lunch from here today. I was walking up and down 30th St. in Georgetown, and trying to figure out which food truck to go to, and stumbled upon this 5 star gem. (2018 is the year that I've learned to check yelp before trying food trucks). There were some people waiting on the other side of the sidewalk for their food, so I walked up and read the menu. The main proteins are chicken and lamb, but they also have falafel and halloumi cheese which is amazing. You can get them in a wrap, over rice or over salad. I chose to get the mix chicken and lamb over rice because I frequently get the most expensive thing on any menu because it sounds the best. There was a ton of food in the corn starch clamshell togo container (compostable!). It was drizzled with tzatziki and hot sauce. The chicken pieces were white meat, tender and cooked perfectly, while the lamb was also great. There was a nice bed of rice that was almost a touch oily. The flavors all went well together and I think it's a good value for the amount of food you get. My server in the Quize Quzeen truck was also kind and smiling. Picky eater review: I had their food catered for a last minute get together, and I am SO GLAD I went with them, their Arabic food is truly delicious! I ordered the Mahshi (stuffed peppers + zucchini), their tabbboula was literally the best I've ever had (and that's saying a lot because I'm middle eastern, and I eat it frequently), their Yalanji (stuffed grape leaves) was to die for, and their Mamooul (date filled cookies). Everything was made to perfection! I ended up catering again from them again two weeks later for my grandparents, and I'm about to put my third order in, in less than a month, yes it's that good!!! We loved everything but our favorites were the veggie okra stew, baba ghanoush, ouzi, falafel and chicken shawarmas, and the skewers. So I'm always happy to bring a few colleagues to try out Raed and Raghib's food at their food truck. So it made sense to cater our work lunch because they are the nicest, most accommodating people, and their food is delicious every time! We recently catered from their truck and they came up with a customized plate per person plus some sides. They are in the process of finalizing a catering menu so I ordered based on their current menu. They were very flexible in the items we wanted (falafel, grape leaves, fatayer - spinach & cheese, fatoush salad, and harissa for dessert!) and accommodating in our short timeline. We are a small team at work, and I think that helped, but I really appreciated the quick turnaround. Everyone loved our plates and selection. Raed gave us a variety of sauces - standard tahini, dairy free tahini, and spicy tahini (all are so good they should start selling them as stand alone products!) in addition to fatoush salad dressing and pickles on the side. We also ordered hummus with lamb which everyone raved about. We couldnt get enough of the grape leaves, falafel, and mtabel (all standard favorite and tasty dishes). We couldn't carry all the items so Raghib helped us with the bags for a few blocks and ensured everything was set up at our office. Always professional and so friendly, I really look forward to more catered events by them. So happy to have a good representation of Syrian food in the district. read more

We ordered Baba ghanoush, falafel sandwiches, chicken shawarmas, ouzi dough stuffed rice with veggies and meat, chicken skewers, veggie okra stew, and vermicelli rice. Everything tasted wonderful. Such a great crew who works here! I ordered a delicious lamb and rice plate and asked for extra tzatziki because I am a huge fan of the sauce. They gave me a bunch extra, then offered to let me take the whole bottle! I didn't take it, but the thought was really kind. Then to top things off, they were about to close for the day, so they came out and gave my girlfriend and I a free serving of falafels and fries with extra sauce, of course. Seriously the best lamb euro I've ever had. The meat was super tender, flavorful, and the owner even threw in some extra sauce (which also was amazing). If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Also, the two brothers were in the truck and are some of the nicest people. One of them let me try their tea and even have us a sample of their falafel. In a nutshell: This food truck is amazing and you should try the falafel over rice here! My wife and I were in DC for the weekend and we stumbled upon this food truck quite close the National Mall. This place quite possibly has one of the best falafel over rice plates my wife and I've ever had: this is coming from two people who have spent more than 8 years in Dubai and NYC and have had our fair share of amazing falafels wraps and falafel over rice combinations. If you enjoy a bit of spice in your food, you should try the spicy tahini sauce with your rice plate. The owner Raed was super friendly and very polite. He saw that my wife and me were quite cold and even gave us a cup of hot tea with our meal (which was very refreshing as well). I'm willing to add on to the 5 star reviews. I was intrigued by the thought of a Syrian truck, because I don't think I've ever had Syrian food. Most of the options are Greek/Middle Eastern leaning like gyros and falafel. I ordered a spicy falafel wrap platter that came with some hummus and grape leaves. I think I was given the wrong sandwich because the falafel was not spicy at all and I think it was missing the advertised feta cheese. Nevertheless, it was still really good. The falafel had a great texture and flavor and the pita was soft and not too thick. The hummus was good, but I didn't really have anything to dip in it, besides the grape leaves which were also really tasty. I would probably just get a wrap or a salad next time, but I definitely thought the falafel was better than a lot of the other food trucks so give it a try! read more

I tried this truck hesitantly as it had no Yelp reviews and because it's a relatively new truck (only 2 months old, said the man who served me) no one had yet recommended it to me. But I'm glad I went, as the food was delicious. The food is Syrian/Mediterranean, and they have wraps, platters (rice and salad), salads, fries, and a hummus dip side. I opted for the grilled beef sujuk wrap and fries. The wrap was excellent -- long and thin and full of a delicious seasoned ground beef/sausage, mixed with lettuce, tomatoes and a slightly sweet and slightly bitter pomegranate sauce. The fries were also quite good; they are thick and potato-y, like steak fries but a bit shorter. One of the brothers (the truck's run by two Syrian immigrant brothers) let me try the falafel, which was tasty as well. I'm eager to go back to try some of their other options. read more

The lamb in the gryo was delicate and perfect, not your typical food-truck meat but worthy of a 4-star restaurant; the sauces, exotic, flavorful and complex. The crispy, moist fried falafel balls in a mild spicy sauce, new and delightful, with a light, minty filling. Sample also the salty Syrian cheese they offer with most entrées. My first time trying this food truck: it is indeed "Syriasly delicious!!!" as their slogan goes. I had the Sujuk platter with rice. It was authentic, like the Armenian sujuk in Lebanon and Syria. The guys were so nice too, they offered me free samplers of Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, and Falafel since it's their first time trying out the business in Friendship Heights. Unquestionably superior food compared to the average DC food truck generally and particularly compared to the countless gyro/shawarma/kubideh trucks out there: (1) entrees are more flavorful than comparable dishes at other gyro trucks (2) garnishes and dressings are more varied and unusual (eg pomegranate) than elsewhere (3) side dishes not available at many other gyro trucks (eg baba ganoush, hummus). I should add that the guys who run this truck are super nice, always friendly and appreciative of customers. I know that doesn't make food taste better, but it does make the experience of getting food from them pleasant in a way that doesn't necessarily happen at other trucks. read more

This is my favorite food truck in DC. First of all they score huge points for regularly driving out to SE to provide lunch service. Second (and more importantly), the food is incredible. I waited to post this review until I had tried the food on several occasions. Happy to report that it is consistently delicious. My two favorites so far are the lamb Gyro wrap and the Falafel wrap. Great seasonings and neither filling was over cooked. Both wraps were large enough to fill me up, but not be worthless for the rest of the afternoon. Definitely opt for fries with your meal. They crunch as if double fried and aren't dense at all. Equally as noteworthy as the food, the service great. While waiting for my meal, I was provided samples of the grape leaves (also delicious) and a glass of hot Syrian tea. The tea is sweet with hint of fresh herbs and prepared in accordance with an old Syrian recipe. My food was ready before my tea was. If you spot this truck, it is definitely worth try! read more

Grabbed some food here on a whim while walking around the national mall, and what a good decision! Got the falafel sandwich and the mixed grill, and while they were cooking up everything they brought out some fresh hot tea and a treat to enjoy while we chatted. The tea and dessert were phenomenal, I couldn't even wait to eat until afterwards as it was too mouth watering. The stuffed grape leaves were fantastic as well! Very traditionally done. The Syrian falafel sandwich was fantastic, mainly because the falafel was fried fresh rather than just reheated, which makes all the difference! The mixed grill was also fantastic, and the different sauces on the different meats really brought out the flavor in a big way. This is for sure the best food truck there is in DC. I can't even believe that something this good is a food truck. A+ on everything prices, quality, and portion size. I am very familiar with Syrian cuisine and was surprised to find this food truck started by Syrian refugees from Aleppo which is renowned for the best food in Syria. I came here a few times and have tried a number of items on the menu. The kabobs and rice with pomegranate molasses are amazing. I also enjoyed the grape leaves, the kibbeh, and the high quality hummus. This is home made exquisite fine dining quality Syrian food in a food truck for like $10. You can't do better than this. My gyro was solid- I got the lamb haloumi option and the meat was well seasoned, and while the pita bread was different then I'm used to (more, um... fluffy?) it was actually good which is so NOT a given for a food truck.
