Rides are fun, lazy river was great, staff was plenty kind. All our kids had a ton of fun. I was a bit nervous given all the negative reviews but I thought the place exceeded our expecatations. What a S-hole. Last time I was here was when I was high school, close to where it was first open. Looks like not a single upgrade or repair has been done to the park since that day. Where do I even start with this place. Parking was an extra $21. I looked all over the website to find info on the cost, and after looking for a good time, assumed it was free. That was irritating but, fine. First thoughts walking in. Not a single stand-alone concession stand was open, Indian Fry Bread, Italian Ice, pretzels, etc. I thought it was because we got there early. Nope, they never opened. Approximately 50% of the parks attractions were close. This included one of the major water slides being totally closed, with many of the other slides having one or more of their slides closed. The lazy river to green and close. The wave pool broke several times and the eventually closed the entire pool. We never actually saw waves in it the whole time we were there. With half of the rides, lazy river and pool all closed, the people that were there all packed a few rides that were open. We waited almost 45 minutes for a 10 second ride. We then noticed why. The ride has two slides that require a large, 4-6 person tube that has a conveyor belt that takes it to the top. ONLY ONE TUBE WAS OPERATIONAL. That means that about every 4 minutes 2-4 people got to go down before waiting again. Just stupid. The park is disgusting, overall. It's dirty. Several slides leak so much that there are knee deep (to kids) brown puddles where you can't even see you feet and you have to stand in that water for a few minutes. The only thing dirtier than the park are the mouths of those that visit. The visitors here are of a certain economic status, and the behavior of people show. I had to alert staff two time of ground dropping F-bombs, c-words and getting into heat verbal arguments before a fight. Staff did nothing. If you want to go to a nice, clean park, visit the JW Marriot a few miles away. After one hour my 10-year-old was ready to leave. We looked for a manager to complain. A staff member said she would get one. It was 1pm and 113 outside. We waited for twenty minutes and nobody every came to talk with us. We finally left and I wrote an email to the corporation. My husband and I Purchased season passes online this Afternoon and then went to the park shortly after ... we took our one year old and we were extremely disappointed with the unsafe conditions of the toddler / young child area. The first and biggest concern is that the whole kiddie area needs to be drained, sanded and repainted... the amount of paint chips floating around the water is extremely concerning because it hasn't had proper maintenance ... I'm sure that the paint is extremely toxic especially when there are hundreds , if not thousands, of visible paint chips floating around the water and I'm sure that some children swallow this water when they fall / play. The sunshade over the area is ripped and four of the water activities in the toddler area are not functioning and a lifeguard on duty told us that he's worked there for a few years and they've never worked to his knowledge... So if this is the kind of care that has been put into the infant toddler and young child area, I don't even wanna think about the maintenance on the rest of the park My husband and I went to the kiddie area ... spent about 20 minutes and then left because we felt it was unsafe for our son. For the most part I am unaware of the state of the rest of the park, such as the slides and wave pool because we did not take our son there due to his age and our concern of safety with paint chips in the water and broken equipment. I was really excited about Six Flags taking over the waterpark and excited to take our son there over the summer... in addition, I own a daycare, and was hoping to suggest this as a place for my clients to bring their children over the summer as an activity... but now I am going to suggest that they do NOT bring their children here because I'm extremely disappointed that they haven't put in the effort to make the kiddie area safe and functional. Do better Six Flags. The rides are fun... but many were closed. When asked why? They don't hire enough people to run them. Food? Disaster. One employee said "our food program is running on fumes" -- Out of hot dogs. Out of coke. Out of carne asada. Out of nachos. Out of fry bread toppings. Ok we got burgers. Ride some more rides, lines are super long because they don't have enough rafts or tubes. Wave pool half broken. Bathroom beak, take toddler into the bathroom and when she pulls her suit down we discover a pile of human feces on the floor. Now her suit is covered in it! After cleaning her up, tell an employee who says "this is not my area" instead of "oh no I will make sure that gets cleaned up ASAP!". Onto dessert! Go into the ice cream place, with ice cream sandwich boards outside and menus with flavors listed. NO ICE CREAM. Why do you have the sandwhich boards outside the door? Go to dippin dots, closed for cleaning. And out of all but one flavor. We just bought passes for the 2023 summer and are already disappointed! We've gone twice so far and both times things are closed. The Lazy River, which is a fan favorite, closed! Only one wave machine working the in the wave pool. The scream' slide, closed! The newest attraction, Paradise Island, closed! Restrooms by lazy River, closed! The ice cream shop with empty ice cream cases! No Coke at the fry bread place. The slurpee machine broke and closed by Paradise Island. Funnel Cake place closed! Now they push raft rental and one of ours was stolen! They keep pushing annual passes and the food prices are very high! Chicken stripes, fries and a drink $20.99! I hope many many unhappy people let Yelp know so they get it together and provide a properly operating water park for everyone! I see why they only have 2 stars on here! read more

We enjoyed it here but there were some aspects that were disappointing. We got the day pass and the total was around $100 for the 2 of us including parking. Wave pool was down due to maintenance. Lazy river is closed due to staffing shortage. The line for mammoth falls was super slow because they only had 1 tube at the time so you need to wait for the tube to come up before the next group can go down. Many of the sunloungers had red stains on them. That being said, the rides that were open were super fun and the lifeguards were all really nice. read more

Super fun park! Great for kids, plenty of spaces with no/short lines. Food & prices are as expected. Staff are almost all young (as expected). Everyone is as polite & helpful as they can be given the nature of the business (many of them are there to tell you what you can't do to protect you & others). Well, it's been three years since my last visit and my last review. It's just filthy everywhere. Still. There's a shortage of everything except people. For this reason alone you can bet that no improvements will be made. Food shortages. Tube shortages. Staff shortages. Lines are ridiculously long. Many rides are broken. You'll notice the poor upkeep, outrageously over-priced concessions, unsanitary restrooms, multitude of closed attractions, missing or flat tubes, long wait times, contradictory website & onsite experience. Our kids are 7 & 12. They had a decent time. But it was difficult to grit our teeth and smile thru the frustration of the day especially after paying so much. This place needs a MAJOR overhaul. It's worn down and honestly doesn't feel like they should have been charging such sky-high prices -- especially with nearly half of the park/slides closed. My guess is that if Six Flags paid their onsite staff & lifeguards a fair wage, with all of the concession, shade, cooler, tube & parking income -- they wouldn't have any issue with staffing. I will never return. Ever. We visited for my daughter's bday 7/29/23. - Awful restaurant with huge line that doesn't move. The smell was wretched. We waited for 20 minutes and moved once and then decided to leave. We would have waited another 45 minutes to get food had we stayed - There was only one other place to buy food (all other cafes and stands were closed (mind you, it is Saturday, the last weekend of summer for the kids and 5+ other spots were closed!). We tried the tiny taco stand and ordered two types of nachos. Their customer service was great. Very kind! But the nachos were Absolutely disgusting. We tossed the food and chose dipping dots for lunch instead. Seriously. - After we purchased 4 orders of dippin dots, we just stood there while the guy started doing something else away from the window - he decided to start refilling the Oreo dipping dots. There was a line behind us and instead of having me pay so we could leave, he decided to handle inventory. I said "sooooo are we good or....?" ******TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE BETTER**** - We arrived at the water park at 10:30 because it stated online that the park opens at 10:30. Guess what???? They rope off the whole water slide and lounge area. So you wait until exactky 11am sharp for their people to unrope the area. - Guess how many MAJOR water slides we did from 10:30-2:30pm?? TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Rather than upcharge for tube rentals, how about just provide more tubes so that we don't have to wait in one line for tubes then another for the slide (for every single slide)? We don't want to rent tubes and carry them around and watch them and bring them into the bathrooms. Stupid. - Btw the wave pool is broken yet the lifeguards wouldn't let us know. The buzzer buzzed and no waves. Ever. Tried twice. - Many slides were closed including the lazy River. - We purchased the birthday tickets that include free meals and drinks and snacks. We didn't even use them except for the two orders of nachos that we threw away. The food and lines were that bad. - I realized I left my water jug there as I was nearing the exit and consciously chose NOT to walk back to get it. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Fix this. Where do I begin, first off I don't know how it isn't ILLEGAL to advertise their FAKE pricing they had on their website. Not only did they show a promotional deal they have where it's only $20 per person for groups of 6 or more, only to find out after we excitingly called our close friends and family and invited others that deal was only for seasonal pass holders. But our poor kids were already so excited and we then saw that it was $34 for the day ONLY TO FIND OUT AFTER CLICKING 'BUY NOW' THAT THEY WERE $49. So we went from expecting to pay $80 for our family of 4, to having to pay over $200. By the time we realize this we are already on the way and almost there - which is over an 1 hr drive for us and we did not want to let the kids down who have been through so much lately. They wouldn't let us bring in a cooler of only water bottles which should also be illegal in the weather we experience here. It has been a while but last time we went to Sunsplash, they let us bring the same cooler so thought Hurrican Habor would be the same but guess not! Then, half the rides weren't working and overall it was pretty disappointing to say they least, especially after the astronomical and unjust pricing. It has been a few years and we decided to give the park a try again. Sadly it is still pretty disappointing in that many attractions were closed (Lazy River) or broken down (Wave Pool). They also don't have floaters for the lazy River when they did open it up at 4pm, so you just have to walk the whole thing or swim. (That is not relaxing.) OR you have to rent a floater for extra money. Luckily my daughters earned free passes to the park through Girl Scouts and those passes included a meal plan and free parking so the only $$ we had to spend ourselves was for the locker rental. (Small lockers are $15 each and they only take credit card.) The place is cashless, so you have to have a credit card with you to buy anything. Since our free passes had meals included and drinks we made sure to use them. My girls went for pizza and chicken strips and we got cheeseburgers. You can tell which items are part of the meal deals or a "snack" by the M or S next to it on the menus. We also were able to get a snack each so my girls got dip n dots and we got strawberry fry bread. The place is still somewhat of a hot mess regarding cleanliness (but at least I saw people walking around picking up trash this time) and the staff can leave things to be desired. (Quite a few were having side conversations and not fully paying attention to kids or were less than pleasant if asked questions.) I even heard one girl tell the poor guy stopping people from getting in the lazy River to just make something up to tell people why it isn't open. Really? We might be back but only if my girls earn it again with Girl Scouts. Otherwise this trip for our family of 4 would have run us about $370 and that doesn't include renting any tubes or floaters. If I could rate a zero I would for how bad the customer service was at this water park. I have grown up here in the valley and have been to this location since I was a little girl. I have seen it be bought out from different companies but I have Never seen it get to this point before. I took my 4 children to Hurricane Harbor Owen by Six Flags again for the first time for the season this week. When we arrived the teenagers working the " security" area were so rude. we brought water in our water bottles. it's 110+ outside and they required us to pour our Water Out of Our water bottles because no food or drink is allowed. Ummm it's WATER....I was so mad. When you live in a place that gets 110-115 you Never go anywhere without water. As I stood in line to complain after we dumped our water I saw them making moms and dads with small children take Unopened water bottles (store bought) back to their car. It mind blowing. So we had to go stand in Long lines to refill our water bottles with nasty pipe water with everyone else. THIS IS NOT OK BY ANY BUSINESS!!! Especially one the size of Six Flags.... I won't be renewing our season passes next year. If I didn't pay $300+ for our families I would never set foot in there again. read more

DON'T GO! DON'T BUY A SEASON PASS! HUGE SAFETY, STAFFING, and SERVICE ISSUES! BEWARE! we purchased season passes in July thinking they were reduced for end of season. We have been or attempted whenever things are open to go. There were issues right from that point with being given misinformation at the park and it costing me more money later. It started out rocky but got way way worse. The equipment is very very rundown. Nothing much has been done since before Six Flags bought it. Most of the time many things aren't open. The lazy river is one that is very hit or miss. More miss than hit and the overhead spraying water has only been on once since July 1st. IT is closed most of time. It has been open 4 times i know of since 7/1. Pool lights pulled out and sat in the side with wires running underneath the water. Yesterday it was 2ft of water instead of the normal amount. It was filthy with the returns all covered with debris. As you float around the lazy river half way and to the right is a small pool like area attached but off-shooting from the main river. It is green and covered with thick pea green chucks in places. They have it blocked off with clear pool rings and rope. . There was a foot sized hole in the floor of the river with rushing water pointed slightly forward in the surface. I believe it has something to do with how the river moves. My daughter in law stepped in the hole. NOT one lifeguard would even listen when we tried to tell them and warn them. We wanted to go back around and see just what it was exactly but they closed the river again before we could get there. The river was opened at 11 and closed by 12:30 because someone was hurt said one lifeguard and someone puked said another. It never reopened. The wave pool wave machine has been broken since before the open of this season. They have one machine but not the other. According to onsite mangement "the machine had to be ordered overseas and takes a long time like 8 months. Then we have to wait until off-season to put it in. it's a bigger deal than you think". So i asked why was it still listed and promoted as an attraction since you haven't had it all season. She didn't know. The pool has one filter only. The filters have been broken this season too. No replaced at all. Since the pool can't handle the bathing load the staff make everyone get out for 10-15mins once a. hour to let the filter catch up... They have had a major water slide shut down due to an electrical fire. It's not repaired. The misting system pump is leaking a lot. It's dumping Gallons of water on the ground. Wasting water. The receptacles for waste have bags not on or half on. They clearly have t been replaced or cleaned as there are maggots. I could go on and on. I'll post some pictures I got yesterday. Things change moment by moment so it's anyone's guess what will be open or closed on any given day at any given time. One would have thought that yesterday would have been at least somewhat great since they advertised to visit on National Waterpark Day.... Sadly, nope... it was the same if not worse with all the people and then two large grouped bused in. A lot of the time of something is shutdown the staff will say it's for staffing issues. The website is useless for giving accurate information. The park closes at 7 per the website in the morning. we arrived at 4;50pm with other guested who had been in the park and got a stamp to reenter after they had lunch. The park was closing and we were being told that it closes at five today. Several more families arrived looking to get in as well. The staff said the website shows the change. we produced screenshots where it was not. Then the staff said they were going to extend the hours but since no one will come in to work and school getting ready to start they decided not to. Yes... in the middle of the day without warning. The family of 8 that bought day tickets and were told the park closes at 7 were denied entry and refund despite having the stamp and following what staff told them. The morale and general sense of caring at all for the workplace or customers or each other is horrible. These employees openly complain and tell anyone who will listen about the conditions and why no one comes to work anymore ect. I learned from on-site "management" that they don't have a GM or local president...you cannot contact anyone other than Six flags customer service. Six Flags customer service is useless in helping. They say it happens at the park level and the park says it happens at the corporate level since they don't even have any local person in charge. read more

Visiting from California and even though the park is empty it still took an hour to get on "Tornado". They had one operational float and three others that were deflated. At the end of our hour wait they finally inflated 3 more and still didn't put them in circulation. Most of the slides took forever to get on. This place is run by high school kids with no direction. They have time to socialize but no time to give directions. The Lazy River was like the Wild West- every person for themselves. The wave pool had no waves. Restrooms were dirty and the park had barely opened. Park is dark at sundown. Not enough lightening, which can be a hazard. Will not return. Would not recommend. read more

If I could give 0 stars, that's what I'd give this place. I've been a season pass holder the last two years and for several years between 2013-2017 when it was still Wet N Wild. Every time we've gone this year and last, the lazy river has been closed. The wave pool has also never been fully open because they don't have enough lifeguards. Same for the children's area with the multiple slides. Paradise Pool was nice last year but not for long as it's clear it's rarely skimmed with a net. Bugs, hair, bandaids and other debris litter the pool. Highly do not recommend. You're better off spending your money at Great Wolf Lodge. read more

They over treat the water with bleach enough to burn your lungs. Ticket prices are $60 at the door for one day lockers are $15 and you have to spend the entire day if you would like to catch for maybe four rides if you're lucky. Due to the fact that most rides are closed, it makes the enormous amount of wait times even longer. Spending $60 bucks to go down 4 slides that took me 5 hours is a joke ! There's plenty of other places in the valley to cool off in the water. You can spend half as much money at a Hilton hotel with your group use their pool and slides and even have a room to go back to or Great Wolf Lodge. Or even community pools that have slides. The worst water park that I have been too. I understand that the rules are changing because of Covid. However, this water park is disorganized and they have let in too many people for this small water park. Plus, they aren't even following Covid rules. I guess they don't apply in water parks. These lines are crazy! There are like maybe less than 10 water slides. There Adventure River (lazy river) is over capacity that there is a line to get in it. Plus, It shouldn't take over an hour to order and get food. They do have an app to order food but even that is giving out time frames 2 or more hours later. I would of left if I could but they are not giving out refunds. Plus, I do not live in this area to be coming back another time. It just isn't worth it to come to this water park. Worst birthday experience ever. I plan to tell everyone asking to never visit this place, because It's going down the drain. The filth in the restrooms alone needs to be address immediately. It takes no time to bleach down a highly infected stall. I was lied to about pricing and pushed over to guest services who tried to make their own middle man portion off the pricing. I was underwhelmed by my experience considering the high price tag of admission. The plastic lounge chairs were nasty and the pigeons were everywhere. The wave pool should be called a ripple pool. The food that was available was more expensive than going to a professional baseball game. Considering that you may not bring your own food or water (really, what a joke) the cost of eating anything there far outweighs even the cost of admission and parking fees. First this place is a joke we use to have season passes. $27.00 park the parking lot is a joke pot holes everywhere. C got invited to a birthday party here one Saturday last month. It was our first time to the water park. We made sure to get there as soon as it opened cause I knew it would be crowded...fast. Dislikes - Parking. Why does one have to pay for parking, if they've already paid for admission!??! I call it greed. Food - Only can order via the app. Overpriced. We got 2 orders of tacos from the taco shack by the wave pool. A couple dinky street tacos and paid over $30 that weren't even all that. Del Taco makes better street tacos, and they're less expensive. TIP - pack your own food in a cooler and eat out in the parking lot. The staff was really friendly and did their best to keep people happy. Which is no small feat for a summer Saturday. The lines weren't too terrible, but again, we got there early. That's really the only way to snag seating, especially shaded seating. C got to ride on one slide, the lazy river, but spent most of his time in the wave pool. My family went here for Memorial Day weekend and my family of 5 enjoyed ourselves. The 1+ hour wait for a 45 second ride sucked, but it was a busy holiday weekend so that's to be expected. We didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food quality or price. We mostly stuck to the wave pool, lazy river and the splash playgrounds. The only thing that was concerning (and why the 3 star review) was multiple missing or rickety slats on the staircases to the Tornado. Complete disappointment on all levels. We attended on 06/29/2024 and this will surely be our very last time. We had been here in years prior and had a great experience but this time around it was the absolute worst. Those reading all the negative reviews, please take them into consideration as they are all true. Save your money! This place will try to take money from you every which way possible. First, expect to pay for parking as you enter the park. Second, If you did not pre-pay for your tickets online, expect to pay much more at the window. Third, If you didn't take stuff to eat out of your car, be prepared to get ripped off on mediocre food. $8 for a bag of chips crazy drink pricing. Food and drinks are NOT allowed in unless you pay more money and rent a Cabana for $100+. IF you have a HYDRO or refillable water bottle, they will make you dump it before you enter. Good news, you get to keep your ice. Fourth, If you want to go on any rides requiring a tube, good luck to you because they don't have enough tubes for each ride. This causes very very very long wait times as you await for the 3 tubes they have for the entire ride. The delays are even longer because those who have rented tubes get to skip any lines and go right to the front. Not all rides require tubes. If you rent a tube, like we did, and you leave your tube unattended for those rides, they WILL get taken by other people. So a waste of money because they staff will do nothing to fix the situation. Be prepared to babysit your tubes throughout the park. Wait times are ridiculous. You will wait 1+ hours per slide or more. A lot of slides are closed or broken. They decided to close the wave pool and the lazy river at the same time do a "maintenance issue". This made everyone rush the rides. People didn't know where to go. The park has not been modernized or updated in many years and it shows. There is no crowd control so the park gets extremely overcrowded, the rides get backed up making everyone's experience suck. It is more than clear that they do not care about your experience but rather making more money. This is sad, complete WASTE OF MONEY! read more

Recently visited here, and aside from the ratings, I still went. The entrance to the park is not well maintained, and there is trash around, not a lot but noticeable. There are misters, but none that work. Entering or exiting the park. The staff are not engaging with the patrons. This goes for the staff inside the park as well. I noticed on our first ride the amount of trash by the water filter system that it is ignored and not kept clean. Also, the misters leading to the ride were not all working. It's not a big deal, but for the heat, would help. Their wave pool did not work. There was another ride that did not work, I can't remember the name and also one other that I can't remember. Very disappointing! There were food stalls that were not open, and in my opinion, the tube rentals were a tad overpriced ( but inflation), so I get it. The water is not as clean as I've seen from other water parks, and because of that, I got a staph infection on my face. I heal quick so ill be ok. (Thanks!) The bathrooms inside the park are atrocious there is piss all over the floor and the smell is heavy with ammonia. No care whatsoever is taken to maintain them. I did enjoy the rides that worked and had a blast with my family. Would I go again? Maybe not. You decide for yourself! read more

This place is so incredibly EXPENSIVE. There is no reason for 8 wings to be $20+. Their $11 ICEEs were soooo watered down it tasted like a La Croix slushee. You HAVE to rent a tube because you will spend way too much of your time waiting for a community tube that you will probably not get. Not to mention a lot of the rides were closed off too. The lines for everything were very long. Don't even get me started on getting into the park. It took 30 minutes to turn left onto 43rd Ave from Pinnacle Peak Rd. Whoever decided to put a waterpark there with only one lane is insane. People were constantly in the middle of the intersection blocking all lanes of traffic. There needs to be some kind of traffic control for that place. The rides themselves are fun. But having to deal with traffic, long lines, and price gouging is why it's only 2 stars for me. Sunsplash is a little better but not by much. I wish Arizona had more than just a couple of big water parks. It's too hot to not have them. read more

I was poorly treated by the security at the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Phoenix. My daughter's personal life jacket was stolen by a woman at the park. I was at the lazy river with my kids and I saw when the woman grabbed it from my bag. I reached out to the security and I was extremely mistreated by him. I asked him to see the video and I was told that I couldn't. So what are the cameras for? To get away from the situation, he said that the woman had the life jacket's receipt. I asked him to show it to me and he refused. I am extremely disappointed with the security at this park. I have attached a photo of him and I hope he gets fired. I will be canceling my 5 memberships. Don't ask any questions at this park, their employees are extremely RUDE!!! read more

don't attend this Waterpark unless you want to get touched inappropriately by tweens/teens who's parents let them run around unsupervised and experience a staff who is too unattentive and possibly understaffed? to handle situations properly. spend your money at a safer & more secure location. read more

I purchased a season pass. Have not used it at all. The season has not started. I fought for a refund explaining I was leaving town for the summer to care for a sick relative. Even offered proof of a diagnosis. They will not even consider a refund it's a lot of money just another heartless corporation read more

Place is rundown. I got a season pass expecting to take advantage of the perks however there is none. No fast pass line. No speedy/preferred parking. Only half the food places where open. Long line for food, when I asked the girl what was ready so I didn't have to wait any longer. She said everything was ready, so why did it take 20 minutes to get to the cashier? None of the workers have any sense of urgency they are just chilling in the kitchen, literally one dude making food with three cashiers? The "wave" pool has no waves. This review is mostly based on my season pass status. If I had just a regular day ticket I suppose it would be more satisfied and maybe rate it a 3.8. read more
